Biography: (100 words minimum.)
Honey Klein had only been alive for eleven years, but she figured she knew a lot of things. She would dare to say that she knew a lot more than anyone else her age. And Honey would never brag while saying this, just simply stating the facts. There were three things she knew so far.

1) Life isn't fair, and it's probably only going downhill from here.
2)People are going to think what they want about you, and there's pretty much nothing you can do about it.
3) When people want things, you should probably give it to them.

Lesson #1: Life Isn't Fair

Honey had been only eight. Only Eight years old when her best friend, Abbey, climbed over the wicker fence that separated their houses when Honey was tending to the garden in their backyard. Honey always had a knack for reading facial expressions, and she could tell Abbey was troubled. "What's wrong?" She asked.

Abbey bit her lower lip, rocking on her toes. "Daddy and Mommy and Earnest and me are leaving tomorrow." She blurted out suddenly. "We're going to this place over the ocean- America."

"What?" Honey cried, throwing aside her bucket full of dirt in distress. It had been much easier for her twin sister, Indigo, to make friends. Her, on the other hand, not so much. Honey had always been a quiet child and Abbey was her only friend. How could she make more? "Why?"

Abbey winced, cheeks coloring, and she was already slowly backing up to her own yard. "Daddy says the Nazis could come any moment to our town and Germany isn't safe."

Honey didn't understand. She liked to think there wasn't much she couldn't process, but this was totally knew information. She blinked hard. "Abbey-!" She called, but the other girl had already hopped over the fence and zoomed into her house. She wanted to ask questions, to figure out what exactly was "Nazis." But she knew something: Abbey said that Germany wasn't safe, so her parents had to know.

"Momma!" She hollered, running back indoors and into the arms of her mother, who, if she remembered correctly. (And Honey always did) "Germany isn't safe! We have to go!"

Her mother tense, which was a rare thing during one of their hugs. (Honey always knew that her mother liked her far much more than she did Indigo) She pulled her daughter off of her and held her in her arms. "What? Who on earth told you that?" Her mother's eyes were blue, same as Honey's, and as big and as wide and saucers.

"Abbey!" Honey squealed. "She and her mom and her dad and her brother are leaving tomorrow because of the Nazis." Honey still wasn't sure what that was, but it had to be pretty big to make her friend and her family go all the way over the ocean. She squirmed in her mother's strong arms. "I think we should leave with them, too."

Her mother's eyes saddened, and she gently put Honey down on the counter and continued chopping carrots. "Oh, that. Dear, please try not to worry yourself about that too much and try to have a little fun, okay? It doesn't affect you."

Honey frowned, scooting over to get closer to her mom. "But Momma, Abbey's leaving because it's so bad!" When she didn't answer, the young girl continued, "What's so bad about Nazis, anyway?"

And that, at the tender age of eight, was the first time Honey heard about everything. In that conversation, it was the first time she heard the words "Jews" and "Hitler" and of the terrible things that was happening. And her Momma made her promise not to tell Indigo or any of her other friends. It would worry them too much, and they would have to find out eventually.

"But Mommy!" Honey slid her arms around her mother's waist. "That isn't fair," she said with passion.

"I know, dear. But nothing really is fair," her mother whispered back.

And Honey believed that now.

Lesson #2 People are going to think what they want about you, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Honey was only nine years old, and the Nazi party had successfully taken over all of Germany, if the whispered conversations she heard among her parents were correct. People were killed on a daily basis, and now the category was widened into people who didn't support Hitler. Her parents sure didn't, but the rules were getting so strict that they were sure they would break one by accident and terrible things would happened.

So they fled. Not far away, but to London, and have been living there ever since. Now, a war is brewing, and it happens to be with their home country.

One day Honey was in Godric Park, inspecting the flowers closely. In her new home in Hogsmeade, they didn't have much space for a garden, so she was enjoying it while she could. A little boy, somewhere around her age, walked up to her and asked, "Do you want to play?"

She blinked hard, making sure he was talking to her. She rose unsteadily to her feet, inspecting him with her weary gaze. Honey wanted to make absolutely sure that he wasn't kidding with her. "Ja- Um, I mean, yes."

Her German accent shined through, and the boy nearly had a fit. "You're one of them!" He shouted.

And Honey tried to explain, she really did. She told him that they had left Germany because they didn't agree with what was going on, and by the time the magical war started they had cut off all ties, meaning that she wasn't against him. She tried to reason with him, she really did, but the boy was not having it. He kept screaming and hollering.

And after a while, Honey dissolved into tears and stormed away. This was when she realized that not all people were going to believe her. Some people were just so stubborn in their ways and couldn't be reasoned with, and try as she might, there were no rational solutions to irrational problems.

Some people were just lost causes. And even if you enlisted a certain delinquent sister to beat them up, people still have their own minds. Their own thoughts, their own opinions, their own ways of thinking, and try as you might, you can't change that.

Lesson #3When people want things, you should probably give it to them

Honey liked to think that her whole existance was centered around this rule. She came crashing into this world with her twin sister, Indigo, who was as forceful as Honey was lax. Whatever Indigo wanted, Indie got. And Honey learned to be fine with this. If Indigo was happy, she had no problems, if she wasn't, there would be a rain of misery on it. Honey never got the food, birthday parties, or toys she wanted, and she learned to be fine with it.

And those were the reasons why Honey figured herself to be the wisest eleven year old girl on the planet. She had learned these three lessons in only a smidgen more than a decade, and most people don't learn them in their whole entire lifetime.

Roleplay:
Reply as your character to the following:

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:
Where even was Indigo?

Honey rarely asked for favors from her twin sister. Mostly because Indie only did what she wanted when she wanted, but also because she tried not to ask for much from anyone. High expectations almost always lead to letdowns. It was one of the ten core rules of life.

So if she asked for little, she expected that little to be done. But Indigo had found a way to flake out on her again. All Honey wanted some protection while she went to Godric Park. Ever since the incident with the boy two years ago, she was very paranoid, but she still liked to look at the flowers.

Honey sniffed, taking slow and careful steps. But then she noticed it: a bunch of boy on brooms. Were they circling her? Like birds of prey going around their unsuspecting target? Was this truly the way her life would end? Oh no!

"You!"

Honey blinked hard, turning around. It was just a girl. She looked kind of ticked off, but she probably was no real harm. Honey let herself relax a bit and replied with a "hmm?" Honey wasn't sure if she would suddenly start screaming like the boy. It was always a possibility.

"...Do you want to play?"

Indie had asked Honey this millions of times, and she almost always ended up yelling at her. Plain and simple, Honey was bad at a lot of games and it frustrated other people. "Are you sure about that?" She inquired. "I'm not the best at playing."
