Biography: Chastity was born early in the morning of September 7, 1935. She was born in her family’s Irish manor, like most of the O’Connor clan, of which she was he fourth child, though her family’s primary home was in Hogsmeade, which is where she spent a large portion of her childhood.
Her parents, Chastity and Jonathan O’Connor, could both be used to exemplify the ideals of an old and well-respected pureblood family. Her father was educated at both Hogwarts and Durmstrang. After graduation he studied law, eventually founding his own firm. He married a woman from another influential pureblood family, though she was Bulgarian, and they had five children. Now he practices law and manages his family with a kind, but firm, hand. Chastity, his wife, is skilled at all the social graces required to associate with the rich and powerful. She is fashionable, charming, and always involved in some sort of high profile charity project. She is also a kind and sympathetic mother, and a devoted wife to her husband.
Chastity (the younger) has two older brothers, John and Brody, a younger brother, Collin, and an older sister, Nadine. Her relationship with all of them is quite close, though due to age she is closest to Collin.
Though most of her family rarely acknowledge her eldest brother due to his interests, Chastity has kept in touch since his move to America, and he in return sends her presents he has enchanted with some regularity. Despite Chastity’s affection for tradition, she believes there are some things that are more important, such as family and friends, a testament to her compassionate nature, and the cause of her continued exchange of letters with John.
Nadine is Chastity’s most beloved sibling. She has idolized her as long as she can recall, something that has only increased with her sister’s move to France and her resulting glamorous life have done nothing to change that, though as time goes on Chastity has begun to realize her sister is merely human as well. When Chastity was smaller, she hoped to be exactly like her when she grew up, but now Chastity can recognize the differences between the two and realize she prefers to be herself, even if she is quieter and more academically focused. The war made it more difficult for the two to communicate, but both have tried hard to stay in touch, and Chastity has a subscription to
Witch Weekly to keep an eye out for Nadine’s photo shoots and columns.
Chastity has a great deal of respect for her second oldest brother, Brody, but has never found herself extremely close to him, thinking him to be self-absorbed and stubborn to a fault, though that is a crime she is guilty of too.
Though Nadine might be the sibling Chastity adores the most, Collin is the one she is closest too. The two are often quite competitive, but when either one is upset they are the first to rush to the other’s aid. Being significantly younger than their three older siblings made them a team, and Collin could convince Chastity to do almost anything, frequently enlisting her help in his more elaborate pranks towards Brody.
Chastity truely loves to learn. Before coming to Hogwarts, she was taught by governesses and tutors employed by her family, and no subject lacked interest. Chastity picked up the basics of several languages and is quite well spoken in several more. She has always loved studying history, and has a mind that quickly picks up mathematics. Magically too she has always been bright, though her focus on the past seems to inhibit her skill with divining the future.
Outside of her lessons, Chastity can often be found reading or working on one of her latest projects. When the weather is nice, Chastity enjoys walking in the gardens or going for riding her horse, Darcy. She enjoys playing chess with her brother and practicing the piano or the flute, both of which she plays competently. Chastity also spends a considerable amount of time with her mother, sometimes of her own choosing though often not, meeting the influential families of Europe and showily supporting a wide range of charities.
Chastity is quite reserved around most people, though polite and often charming. It is not that she feels uncomfortable around people, but that she has discovered how much one can learn when they are quiet. In general she is a very rule abiding person, but occasionally she will stoop down for darker methods to accomplish what she wants, something that is definitely a family trait.
Though among her peers Chastity can sometimes seem stuck-up or self absorbed, in reality she is probably just distracted by some new concept or idea. As people get to know Chastity, they begin to realize just how compassionate she is. She has a quiet sense of humor which many would describe as unexpectedly funny, though she rarely shows it. For the most part she is calm and collected, and her response to anger is often even more extreme silence, but she becomes very passionate about somethings, and will devote large amounts of time to figuring something out.
While Chastity is self confident, she is easily offended, probably because most of her early life she has been sheltered from those who would insult her. When she is offended by someone, it can take her a very long time to forgive them, remaining cold and aloof, usually until they apologize. Though it is rare, once Chastity has taken a dislike to someone, she will almost never let it go.
Because of her family background, Chastity knows what her life will look like, that it is her duty to marry for the good of the family to some influential pureblood. Sometimes she wishes she lived in a world where she could go on to be something other than a wife and a mother, but she looks back on the centuries where this has worked and reminds herself that while times might change other places, for families like hers tradition is what keeps them alive. This can make her feel aimless at times, but when this happens she just tries to throw herself into her studies or latest project and focus on the present, not the future.

Personality:Chastity is extremely intelligent, compassionate, and traditional. She cares deeply for those she likes and not at all for those she doesn’t. When it comes to learning, whether in school, with tutors, or on her own, she is dedicated and passionate. Chastity is deeply afraid of spiders, though her biggest fear is letting her family down. She has an incorrigible sweet tooth, particularly for chocolate, though her mother always reminds her not to eat too much, because a lady should keep slim.
Appearance:Chastity is short for her age, with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. She has pale skin which doesn’t freckle or tan, full lips and a straight nose. Chastity like the way she looks for the most part, though she wishes she were as effortlessly pretty as her sister Nadine.

She had been watching his progress for a minute or two, wondering what, in the name of Merlin, he could be looking for with his nose pressed in the flowerbeds. She was just trying to decide whether he was purposely trampling the poppies or if he was just absorbed in his task when he let out a terrifyingly loud sneeze.
Growing up, her mother and various governesses had always drilled into her a number of important facts. The first: the continuance of order in the magical world depends on those born to good families (like us) preserving blood status. The second: No true gentleman will ever request so much as a kiss before he’s courted you for at least six months. Third: A true lady always has at least one handkerchief on her person.
That was, Chastity supposed, the reason she was so completely horrified to see the boy wipe his nose on his sleeve.
The boy did not look pleased to see her as he straightened up.
“Can I help you with something? It’s not polite to stare.”
Taken aback at being spoken to in such a manner, Chastity blinked for a moment, but quickly regained her composure.
“No thank you. I was just getting a bit of reading in.” Chastity vaguely waved her book in the air, feeling uncomfortable. She wondered what she could do to end this conversation. Suddenly inspiration struck.
“Would you like a handkerchief?”
