I suppose he would be quite unpopular with the Ministry, but although his dealings aren't exactly legal, he has ways of making them so. As for the Supra Mortalitas, he has heard of them and perhaps vice versa, although he has been in Azkaban for a while now, and isn't exactly well connected yet. He also owns a club known as ‘The Waltz’ and people are welcome to join.

Lucian Redhood

Special Phrase:
Tibbles beard of power

Biography: (300 words minimum.)
Back in his day, Jack had it all. He was rich, popular, and powerful. He was a reclusive man until he began his first job as a Spell-seller, a creator and purveyor of hexes, jinxes and curses of all kinds. Since then, he has done it all. Bounty hunter, Wand-for-hire, Smuggler, Pirate... you name it, he’s done it. After a few years of being ‘in-between jobs’, Jack had earned himself the reputation as the fastest Spellslinger around, although no one ever really bothered to find out if this was true.

Jack’s escapades flung him onto the wrong side of the law on many occasions, but no matter how hard the Ministry tried, he was never caught. After all, there was always more important things for the Ministry to be worrying about. And occasionally, every now and then, Jack would cash in a bounty to compensate. This went on for quite some time, until an under-planned bank heist went horribly wrong.

The contents of a Gringotts bank vault was being transported from somewhere in Spain to Diagon Alley, and Jack (along with a group of cheap vagabonds-for-hire) tried to intercept the wagon. Unfortunately the wagon was being pulled by a group of humiliated centaurs, and it didn’t end well for anyone. The Ministry found Jack lying half-dead nearby a few hours later, and took him straight to Azkaban without a trial.

Azkaban wasn’t nearly as bad and it was made out to be, but it certainly wasn’t pleasant. The Dementors were atrociously boring too. At least in normal prisons you could small-talk the guards. But Jack certainly did meet a lot of interesting people, some of whom he got along quite well with. Some otherwise, especially those who were in Azkaban because of him.

Finally, in the year 1973, Jack fast approached the date of his release, and began to bide his time until then... whilst occasionally trying to start a conversation with the Dementors.

‘The Waltz', and ever since then he has been making almost as much friends as he has money. The Wolpertinger was a secret, high-end millionaires club for the rich and guilty, and it provided services of all kinds.

ROLEPLAY
Reply as your character to the following:

It was impossible for Dianne to stay out of trouble. It wasn't that she was looking for trouble, it's just that trouble always managed to find her. Today she wished she could find something equally familiar but more comforting.

The five-year old girl hugged her puffskein closer to her and brushed her face in its soft fur for comfort. She had named him herself and he was always her special pet. No she was certain she had never gone down this side street before. Her anxiety increased every second as darkness fell as she walked down the road. A loud noise came to her left and she buried her face in her pet's fur completely. The scared girl bolted the opposite way slamming the both of them into the wall of the nearest building. Tottering back a few steps she found a door a few feet to her right and ran to open it. What light there was inside spilled out into the darkness and she spilled into the room.

Once in, she was caught between the impulse to curl her cloak up more tightly around her and loosen her grip on it. She wasn't alone anymore but she was now among strangers instead, which was nearly as terrifying. Her puffskein had recovered from the shock of the wall and now was purring contentedly as the girl hugged it, causing a mildly calming effect on the girl. Gathering her courage, she marched up to the nearest person, pulled on the nearest clothing hem and blurted out in a loud voice:

"I'm lost and it's dark and I wanted to know where I am but I'm not scared but I am worried that Sambundeakin is scared because he's little and needs something to eat and wants to go home."

She paused to draw a breath in her nearly never-ending sentence, "He misses my and his mommy."

To explain the scared girl held up the custard-colored puffskein. Sambundeakin the puffskein, however simply purred as if nothing on earth was wrong in the world.

Roleplay Response:
Jackalope coughed impolitely at the shoddy barman who was running late with his drink. He had already consumed four firewhiskey’s and was onto his fifth, or at least he would be if only his drink would arrive.

Finally, the overflowing flask was planted in front of him, and Jack slid another sickle across the bar as he greedily stared into the bubbling drink. He took one gulp but was unfortunately  interrupted by someone tugging on his jacket.

“What is it? What’s the score here? What’s next? What d’ya want?” he screamed, turning around on his stool and pointing his revolver-shaped wand straight into the face of whoever was antagonizing him. But there was no one there. An invisible man? Or a man as fast at escaping as a rat on some sort of speed potion *forward-slash* concoction? It was madness, in its purest of forms. It then occurred to him that whoever had tugged on his jacket might actually just be vertically challenged. Like a goblin.

He was right. The little goblin was staring straight at him, and he pointed his wand back at it. He couldn’t quite make out what it was it was saying, but he knew that it was a threat. A challenge perhaps, to a duel to the death. It had happened before, and would certainly happen again. Perhaps it had. This goblin looked tough, and ugly. Not much like a goblin though. More like a sneevil, or a gnome. Most likely.

“What do you want from me Goblin? State your intent and remove your teeth from my attire at once! Wicked beast!”

He had ignored the large puffy thing in the goblins hands for this long, but he could no longer avoid looking at it. Perhaps it was a weapon. Perhaps it was some sort of protective charm that would deflect his bullet-blasting spells. Who knew. The goblin did.

“What... is that?”

SHOPKEEPER QUESTIONS
Answer these questions only if you are applying to be a shopkeeper as well.

Shop name: ”The Waltz”
Shop Description (200 words minimum): Although not exactly a shop, the Waltz is a secret club for the ‘rich and guilty’. It provides services of all kinds, for all types. Gambling rings took place all day and all night long. Musical performances and dances were on show every evening and drinks were served at several bars whilst a psychedelic disco ensued.

Entrance fees were very expensive, but exclusive friends of Jackalope Furcifer would be able to join for free, not that Jack has many friends.

The Ministry of Magic aren’t exactly big fans of The Waltz, although some of its members have certainly become rather interested in the scheme in a less denouncing sense.

Also, as a general rule, The Waltz is strictly open to people of ages 16 and above only, and drink, gambling and other services are only open to people ages 18 and above, but for that reason, entrance to The Waltz is much cheaper for younger patrons.

((The Waltz itself is a relatively new business, and won’t be open until Jack is released from Azkaban, and even then only after some initial preparation has been undergone. The Waltz should be scheduled to open before the OOC summer holidays begin. Thank you for your patronage.))

What purpose will this shop serve other than selling things and being the home of your character? Why would people want to RP there just for fun?
People would want to RP here as The Waltz’s headquarters, “The Charlatans Chateaux”  is a huge building full of opportunities and ‘FUN’! There is room for characters to pick up odd jobs here too, as well as attending A list, top end parties. Although it might not be the least infamous club on earth, The Waltz is certainly one of the most prestigious, and should any shady characters require a place to hold their dealings (and are sick of the Hag’s Head), the Waltz shall most certainly grant their request.
