Biography: (300 words minimum.)
She was 11 years old when she met Demitri Galanis in the seventh carriage of the Hogwarts Express. He had dark hair and dark eyes, and a smile that shone brighter than a full moon. They sat together for the entire journey and he bought her a pack of Drooble's Best Blowing Gum. She blew a gigantic bluebell-coloured bubble, and it popped in his face.

She was 13 years old when he invited her to go with him to Hogsmeade. And it was different this time, because they had never invited each other before -- they'd just gone together. It was an unspoken agreement between the pair. It felt awkward at first, sitting across from him in the corner of the coffee shop and pretending not to notice that he was staring at her. But then he told a stupid joke, and she giggled, and everything was back to normal.

She was 15 years old when he kissed her behind the Quidditch stands after the Gryffindor/Ravenclaw game. They sat there for hours, until well after the sun had gone down; when they were tired of kissing, they just talked instead. And when they were tired of talking, they simply held hands. It was well past curfew when they returned to their common rooms.

She was 18 years old when they graduated together with the rest of their class. There were speeches, and too many mugs of Butterbeer, and laughter. Lots of laughter. They snuck away from the celebrations midway through the evening, and wandered through the hedge maze until they no longer knew which way they were going. But it didn't matter, and it wasn't frightening, because they were together and the tips of their wands glowed softly in the darkness.

She was 19 years old when he got down on one knee and proposed in the same little coffee shop where they'd had their first date. They went to Greece the next week, so that she could finally meet his family. There were a lot of them in comparison to her own, but she didn't feel out of place there. She slotted into their family portrait like the last piece in a puzzle.

She was 21 years old when they got married, after two years of meticulous planning on her part and two years of pretending to be interested in which colour flowers they ought to pick on Demitri's. The day came and it went, and there was only one thing that she needed now.

She was 24 years old when that missing thing arrived, in the form of a red-faced baby that wouldn't stop screaming. Calypso Ilena Galanis had arrived. Having a baby was not quite how she had imagined it to be. It was late nights and early mornings, it was feeding half the night and changing nappies the other half. It was exhausting, especially during the weeks that Demitri was away hunting job opportunities. But it was what she had wanted, and it was what she loved.

She was 35 years old when she stood with Demitri and watched Calypso climb aboard the Hogwarts Express. She wrote a lot of letters that year, all directed to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry. But letter-writing, no matter how much of it she did, couldn't fill all of her time, and she started looking for other ways to keep herself occupied.

She was 37 years old when she began volunteering at the Hogsmeade Home for Children, a new establishment that had just opened. Her sister went missing that year, as did so many other individuals. The war was a dangerous time.

She was 38 years old when she founded the nonprofit organisation, 'Magic for Muggleborns'. The organisation offered financial support to the abundance of Muggleborn orphans, and helped ease the burden on Hogwarts to provide for Muggleborn children. With support from her husband, the organisation quickly expanded. It now offers financial support to all Muggleborn children who might require financial aid, and is not limited to orphans.

She was 41 years old when she left England with Demitri to go to Greece. There were family emergencies to solve there, among other things, and Calypso was old enough now to look after herself. Besides, she was sure that Lincoln Litchfield and Robert Oliveroot would be keeping an eye on both her daughter and Lucille. She managed 'Magic for Muggleborns' from overseas, and the Galanis family gave financial aid to the Resistance too. Merlin knew they had enough to go around.

She was 43 years old when she watched her daughter marry Jackson Ross. He seemed like a nice enough boy who had already perfected his dad jokes. She wasn't quite so sure how she felt about the rest of his family -- or rather, one of them in particular, who had disappeared with Lucille Hopland halfway through the evening and hadn't resurfaced since. She stayed until the couple went off on their honeymoon, and then returned to Greece with Demitri.

She was 45 years old when she finally decided that it was time to go home. Greece was lovely, and so was the second family she had found in Demitri's relatives. But she missed her parents, and she missed her daughter, and she missed England. By the time she arrived back on British soil, rumours were circulating about a new position at Hogwarts. Her husband was still in Greece, his nephew was currently occupying their home, and Calypso was halfway to starting a family of her own. 'Magic for Muggleborns' was thriving. The position at the castle seemed like too good an opportunity to pass up. What better way to return to her home country than to relive her time at Hogwarts?

Roleplay:
Option Two -
The snow had been falling steadily all morning and it didn't look like it was going to stop any time soon. Joshua Campbell scrunched his face up in a frown as he lifted his gaze to look to the sky. Snow. It really was quite a bother.

And it certainly didn't make it better that Diagon Alley seemed to be getting more and more crowded. Joshua sighed and pointed his wand at the large box that was currently placed on the doorstep of his shop. He had to get going. He had an order to deliver.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" The elderly man muttered and watched the box hover in the air for a moment. Honestly, did St. Mungo's really need that much tinsel? And with glitter of all things? He sighed again. If it hadn't been for the rather convincing stamp on the order, he would have been likely to believe it had been a prank by one of those orphaned rascals living up there.

Oh well, there was no point in waiting. Joshua deftly stirred the box down the doorstep and out onto the street, carefully levitating it above the heads of the crowd.

"Coming through! Coming through!" His voice sounded over the chatter of the crowd. "Keep out! Move ahead! Go on!" This was going way too slow. People were in the way and walking like they had all day! He huffed. Luckily the road was down hill.

"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!" Joshua let out a loud shout as his feet suddenly slipped in the snow and sent him, the box, and several long strands of tinsel tumbling into the person who had been walking in front of him.

"For Merlin's sake!" Joshua muttered angrily as he hurried to his feet again, red and gold tinsel now decorating his black coat. "I am so sorry! This blasted snow!" He looked apologetic at the person he had crashed into.

Roleplay Response:
She was supposed to be meeting her daughter -- the real one, not the redhead -- for lunch. The Ice Creamery, Ella had pointed out, was not suited for a lunchtime meal, but of course Calypso hadn't listened to her.

She had screeched down the phone that she wanted ice cream, and that she was going to get ice cream, whether or not her mother cared to join her.

Ella had been forced into cooperating, but that did very little to quell the anxiety she felt about her daughter. She'd been temperamental as of late, more so than she usually was, and Ella didn't know where on earth it had come from. Or, come to think of it, when Calypso had shifted from a quiet little thing into a wand-wielding femme fatale.

(No, that was a lie. It had begun when Lucille Hopland had flung herself into Calypso's life -- not that Ella was complaining. It was always livelier with Lucille around.)

"-- arrrgh!"

She suddenly found herself assaulted on all sides by several huge strands of tinsel.

"I am so sorry! This blasted snow!"

It wasn't in her nature to be unforgiving. Unable to stop the giggle from bubbling up out of her, Ella pulled a piece of tinsel from her hair and grinned at the man. "You look like a Christmas tree. A very Gryffindor Christmas tree. Go on, give us a twirl."
