Biography:
Lilura Morley is the daughter of Aceline Leclair and Robert Morley, the product of two very old pureblood families. Her upbringing was as you would expect from a traditional pureblood household. Strict and unemotional, her mother detests those that do not meet her standards. This list includes muggles, muggleborns, squibs, all humanoid magical creatures and, occasionally, Lilura herself. The polar opposite, her father is a warm man who adores his children, but he can be manipulative and harsh, unafraid of using his political power as status as a pureblood to his own advantage. Sometimes his family gets caught in the crossfire. Because of the indifference between her parents and the fact that they are almost never home, Lilura spent most of her childhood years in the company of distant relations and subservient house elves.
As typical of a child who was rarely doted upon, Lilura has developed a quiet, contemplative personality. She can often be found sitting upon a windowsill with an old, leather-bound book resting in her hands. When she reached the age where she realized that none of her actions would elicit a response from her parents, she instead immersed herself in literature, both entertaining and instructional genres alike. When she managed to partially pull of a particularly explosive prank charm at age 9, her mother forbade her from her improvised studies and sent her to live with her grandmother in France. She did not leave the manor's ground or see her parents again until her acceptance letter to Hogwarts was delivered in the summer after her 10th birthday.
Lilura's first year at Hogwarts was uneventful and bland, though she soon threw herself wholeheartedly into her classes to fill her extra time. Her pureblood status combined with her stoic personality led most of her classmates to believe that she was pompous and privileged. Lilura never cared enough to correct them. As the years progressed, she found her passion for magic, and ever since she has devoted herself to its study (although not in the sense that she studied often but instead that she immersed herself in it, surrounding herself with magical creatures, ancient tomes, and practicing spells until she could scarcely keep her eyes open). Lila is unsure of what path in her life she wishes to take, but she does know that she is tired of mediocrity - she longs for excitement and freedom but is fearful that her blood status will keep her caged forever.

Personality:
Lilura is very reserved. She tends to think a lot before she speaks and when she finally does utter something it may be understated or too complex for others to initially understand. She is very whimsical as well, preferring the company of inhuman creatures and rustic books to people. Her elevated vocabulary and undeniably impeccable manners often makes her seem pretentious and showy, but more often than not she is simply doing what makes her most comfortable. It must be stated, however, that she can be vain and condescending, and she never apologizes, though she may feel guilty about some of the things she does. Lilura craves attention but doesn't know how to get it, often going about such things in ill-conceived manners such as harmless hexes or untraceable pranks on the commons. Either way, she is an enigma to her classmates and is in dire need of a friend.
Appearance:
Lilura is average height, about 5'4" tall. She is slender and willowy, lacking an abundance of muscle and making her look too thin at times. Her hair is a dirty blonde color with reddish tints that come out in the sun. Her eyes are a very dark brown, almost black and wide on her rounded face. Her skin is very pale, boasting the occasional sunspot. She has high cheekbones and a small nose that is slightly upturned at the tip.

Lilura walked casually through Hogwarts's tall hallways, eyeing the vast lake that encompassed the ancient castle through the adorned glass windows that decorated the outside wall. She had no class this period and released a relaxed breath as she stifled a lazy yawn, brushing her wavy bangs out of her face.
She was on her way to the Slytherin commons to grab her book,Leviathans of the Deep, when she heard the echoing patter of heeled shoes rapidly approaching. Turning, her wide eyes found a underclassman, Astrid...Bugsby? No, Bixsby. She thought. Turning to continue her path, she had barely taken a step when she heard the blonde call after her.
Dread filled her gut and she had to force herself to resist tensing up as she turned again to address the would-be reporter. Tilting her head, she pondered the unusual question, remembering the time when her mother had fixed an intimidating stare upon her when she hesitated to eat the unconventional food. It had taken her years to acclimate to the rubbery texture, but now she had to admit that frog legs, especially chocolate-coated ones, were actually quite delicious.
"I, um, I'm not sure. I believe that such a dish would be wasted on the school's younger students - they haven't the stomach for it. Though I admit that I would not complain if they were offered..." She trailed off lamely, hoping that the other girl would be content with her admittedly less-than-stellar answer. She blushed, uncomfortable, as she averted her eyes to the floor, picking at the hem of her black class robes and tapping the toe of her leather flats against the cool marble floor.
