Name: Daisy Alderton

Birthday: 31.04.1954

Hometown: Odense, Denmark

Bloodline: Pureblood

Magical Strength (pick one): Charms

Magical Weakness (pick one): Transfiguration

Year (pick two): Fifth or sixth

Biography: Daisy Alderton was born into the Wizarding World as the youngest scion of the illustrious Alderton family—a lineage steeped in centuries of pureblood heritage. Her father, Percival Alderton, was a product of the Alderton's staunch traditionalism, inheriting snobbish values that placed blood purity above all else. Alistair and Cordelia Alderton, Percy's parents, were emblematic of this sentiment, their elitist ideals shaping their family's worldview.

Percy ventured to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic in 1948, to teach Charms. There, he encountered Isadora, a member of a prosperous French wizarding dynasty – the Durands –, who was then a sixth-year student. The whirlwind romance that ensued caused scandalous whispers, especially when Percy and Isadora wed shortly after her graduation. The union led to Percy's reassignment to Durmstrang Institute, where the couple welcomed their firstborn son Sebastian in 1950, soon to be followed by Alexander in 1952. Daisy, born two years after, into the legacy of pureblood privilege, grew up surrounded by the mystique of ancient bloodlines. Her upbringing was both conventional and opulent, a blend of English refinement and French elegance.

From an early age, Daisy demonstrated a quiet fascination with history and magic. She was drawn to artifacts and their untold stories, nurturing an enthusiasm for collecting rare magical relics. However, her true passion lay in the world of potions. Daisy's innate talent for brewing led her to concoct intricate mixtures that surpassed ordinary students' abilities.

Her departure from Durmstrang was a rather forced family decision. While the Alderton family's name echoed with ancestral lineage and the weight of unwavering pride, Daisy emerged as a nonconformist, straying from the path of strict purity that her lineage demanded. Her parents came to recognize the divergence between Daisy's inclinations and the expectations placed upon pureblood heirs. Daisy's questions, her willingness to interact with those of varied backgrounds, and her unconventional choices were viewed as transgressions by the older generation. It was decided that Daisy needed to be molded, to be steeped in the customs that her own actions seemed to defy by her grandparents back in England. Daisy's brothers, on the other hand, remain in Scandinavia. Sebastian, the eldest, embraces diplomatic roles, advocating for tradition and lineage, while Alexander, now entering his seventh year at Durmstrang, fervently adheres to pureblood customs as he pursues magizoology. Daisy's relocation to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry sets her apart—an enigmatic figure poised between family traditions and uncharted destinies.

As she embarks on her journey to Hogwarts, Daisy carries within her the echoes of her family's intricate interplay, a beacon of change within the shadows of tradition. The scars of her departure are etched upon her soul, propelling her toward a future where she must navigate the tension between her individuality and the powerful currents of her lineage.

House Request: Let the sorting hat decide!

Personality:
Daisy's deep fascination with collecting rare magical artifacts reveals her love for uncovering hidden histories and stories often overlooked by others. The precision and intricacy of potion-making offer her both a creative outlet and a sense of accomplishment, making it a cherished pastime. Her thirst for knowledge extends beyond mere academics – Daisy is an avid reader, often immersing herself in books about magical history, ancient spells, and the occult. In her solitude, she finds solace and a canvas for introspection, appreciating moments of quiet contemplation.

Among her dislikes, Daisy holds little patience for those who rigidly cling to tradition or who fail to appreciate new perspectives. Conformity to societal norms and shallow interactions stand as stark contrasts to her values. She craves substance in her conversations and relationships, rejecting superficiality.

Daisy's fears lie in losing her identity to the pressure of her pureblood lineage, being misunderstood due to her unconventional interests, and failing to achieve her potential as a magical historian. However, these fears are countered by her strengths. She possesses boundless curiosity, an open-minded approach to the world, and a determination to forge her own path. Daisy's comfort with solitude bolsters her independence and resilience, allowing her to pursue her interests without relying on external validation. Her analytical thinking serves her well in potion-making and the study of magical artifacts, while her gift for divination provides her with valuable insights into potential outcomes.

Nevertheless, Daisy's personality is not without its weaknesses. Her preference for solitude can sometimes lead to isolation and a limited exposure to diverse viewpoints. Her analytical nature may lead her to skepticism, making it challenging for her to accept concepts that defy her understanding. The tendency to overthink could occasionally obscure the bigger picture.

Appearance:
Her appearance is characterized by chestnut hair that falls in loose waves, framing a face that exudes an air of mystery. With a slender build and graceful movements, she carries herself with poise teached by her French mother. Her piercing blue eyes reflect curiosity and depth, hinting at an intriguing inner world.

Option 2:

That rat of his was in for it now.

The gray little rascal had disappeared from his clutches at breakfast. Again.

Before Hugh even knew what was happening, Merlin had shot across the floor, somehow managing to avoid all the feet walking across the hall and had escaped through the open doors.

Which meant that Hugh was now stomping through rows of flowers and other various flora, searching for the small creature. It was like the rat knew Hugh was allergic to most flowers. Merlin always chose to run to the gardens whenever he got away from Hugh. It was as if the rat did not want to have him for an owner.

Hugh had named his pet Merlin because he had hoped the powerful name would give the rat more incentive to be more than a rat. Not that he expected Merlin to change into a wizard or anything, but rats were just so...useless, for the most part. With a name like Merlin, Hugh thought it might give the rat purpose.

The only purpose Merlin seemed to have was getting away from Hugh as often as possible.

As the fifth year trudged into the second row of flowers, not taking much care to avoid trampling the first row, he felt the first sneeze building up pressure in his nose and behind his eyes.

"You blasted rat! Where are you?"

He pulled apart a section of bright red flowers; he didn't know what they were called because he despised flowers, and ducked his head low to peer into the depths of the flowerbed. It was moving closer in proximity to the flowers that finally did it. Hugh took in three great breaths and then let out an almighty sneeze. It was strong enough to disturb some of the dirt on the ground before him.

Groaning, he stood up again and wiped his nose on his sleeve. It was as he was turning his head, his nose running up and down his arm, that movement in his peripheral vision caught his attention. Normally one who preferred to put his best face forward, Hugh was a bit embarrassed to be caught wiping his runny nose on his robes.

Nevertheless, Hugh put on his best haughty voice. albeit a bit thickly with his plugged nose and said, "Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

Roleplay Response:

The tranquil gardens had always been Daisy Alderton's refuge—a sanctuary of nature's beauty and serenity. Today, however, her usual solitude was interrupted by an unexpected sight. As she strolled along a winding path, Daisy's attention was drawn to a commotion nearby. Curiosity piqued, she made her way closer and leaned against a tree, her blue eyes alight with amusement. Before her stood a fellow student, the fifth year Hugh, engaged in a comical struggle.

Suppressing a smile, Daisy watched as Hugh's frustration led to a sneeze so powerful it sent dirt flying. It was a moment of vulnerability that contrasted sharply with his usual demeanor. She found herself oddly captivated by the scene—the juxtaposition of haughtiness and humanity.

Intrigued by the unfolding spectacle, Daisy decided to make her presence known. Stepping away from the tree, she approached Hugh with a playful glint in her eyes. "I must admit, your encounter with those flowers was quite the spectacle," she answered him, her voice carrying a lighthearted tone. "And here I was, thinking I was the only one who found these gardens a bit overwhelming."

Her gaze swept over the surrounding flora, as if underscoring the chaos that the seemingly innocent flowers could incite. "As for staring, well, it's hard not to be curious when one witnesses a valiant battle between a student and the natural world," she added, a soft chuckle escaping her lips.
