Biography:
Theodore Turner was born into what was to be a loving family. A mother and father, who though Theodore never learned it, loved him deeply from the moment he was born. With certain struggles for money notwithstanding, this life was set up to be a good one without much hardship. Misery, sadly, is a foul fiend and a young boy was stricken from his family by the wizarding event that would rock the whole world to it's core. As the babe slipped into the past, crying as he went, it was certain that he was marked for a stranger life than the one he seemed destined for and one filled with much more hardship.

It didn't take long after appearing, wailing, in some other poor families house and afterwords being passed around between orphanages, both muggle and not, that a relative was found to care of the child. Brother to his father, an "Uncle Greg" as Theodore would come to know him by, took the boy in after some time and tried in his own peculiar way to raise the boy. Uncle Greg, or Gregory Turner, was an eccentric along with being an almost unnaturally cold man. Never having found a wife himself, despite not growing any younger nor any more hospitable to proper human contact, he certainly was nothing akin to the  well prepared warm hearted family from just a year prior.

Theodore lived with his uncle in a small bungalow on the outskirts of Liverpool for the next ten years and despite the rocky start it wasn't a terrible life. His uncle supplied him with a plethora of books both for learning and for "walking the mind's road" as he so often described the fantasy novellas that he would buy for the young lad. Perhaps the greatest moment of bonding between the boy and his guardian came when Theodore took interest in the Wizard's Chess set situated in the corner of his uncle's office. The two began to play many times daily, sharing meals around the chess board and having it become the central topic of conversation along with being the primary mode of conversation as well. Theodore learned more about his uncle around that old chess board than all the other time he had spent living with the eccentric man.

The boy had grown up with tales of magic and wizardry since he was old enough to hear them. Uncle Greg was adamant that a young wizard's education should begin in earnest from the moment he could crawl, though with variable effectiveness. This mostly came down to history lessons on the magical world and the things that live within it, as he was much to young to begin practicing magic in earnest nor did he have a wand to call his own until his 10th birthday an auspicious age, his uncle assured him. With what knowledge his uncle had armed him with it wasn't much longer until the letter came, welcoming him to the hallowed halls of Hogwarts. He was to begin a new chapter of his life outside the prelude and the family he never learned about and the first chapter involving the strange uncle.

House Request:
Any

Personality:
Theodore's personality, like many young boys, was a product of environment and circumstance. Being stuck in a house with a man who only seemed interested in the boy when it involved magic, chess, or literature left Theodore rather starved for attention. He made up for this by applying himself fully to those things that connected him to his strange uncle, finding himself pouring over books just for the conversation that would arise at the end or practicing strategy and tactics upon the chess board to make the games longer, more engaging, and increasingly competitive to hopefully receive praise from his uncle. This made the boy become quite clever and calculating, at least when compared to many children his age.

Despite having little to no contact with other children his own age, Theodore never truly became shy or reserved around others. His uncle's infrequent visitors, who often were as strange as he was in many ways, were often jumped upon by the young boy as soon as they entered the house. Being outgoing and seeking companionship wherever he could find it seemed to suit the boy much better than fear and apathy at the thought of meeting strangers. This courage was applauded by his uncle, often informing him that one must aggressively seize the fruit of life if one might take a bite.

Finally, he was instructed by his Uncle in their conversations that he was always to speak plainly and reach the point without meandering - though contradictory to this point his uncle often spoke in metaphor and behooved the young lad to do the same. This manner of speaking has led to Theodore often being too blunt and too inconsiderate for proper conversation between individuals or too abstract and eccentric to get a point across at all. This flaw is often pushed even further when combined with his personality thus far
leading to blatant misunderstandings and hurt feelings.

Appearance:
Theodore would be just about average height for a boy his age with a scrawny body not yet gone through the rigors of puberty. His face as well seems rather plain with a smaller than average nose that seems to found its home in a color much redder than the rest of his complexion and dull brown eyes that everyone always describes as appearing to be that of a layabout and a exceptionally sleepy one at that. His most striking feature would be his large mass of tawny hair that almost certainly has seen no comb nor brush since his birth.

Option Two Response:
What incredible colors.

Looking back at the years he spent at Uncle Greg's house they all seemed be covered in a film of gray. This truth was only revealed when taken in contrast with the wonderful colors and shapes of the flowers that surrounded him. To think so many interesting places exist at Hogwarts!

"This place might even be better than the Library."

Without a care in the world, Theodore quickly found a small secluded area surrounded on two sides by well trimmed hedges and a variety of flowers in front of him he began breathing in the different smells of the flora. He quickly came to the realization that not only were the colors brighter but his other sense could pick up on the difference here. The soft tickle of pollen on the air was subtly different than that of the heavy dust the pervaded his old house. The sweet aroma was nothing akin to the musk of old books, not that there wasn't something endearing about the latter just the difference was jarring.

Lost in the sensations of the Hogwarts garden, he was only interrupted some time later by a light, flitting voice propositioning him, "Dear Boy, I believe it is your move."

Blearily opening his eyes a strange sight came into view, though he would only come to describe it as strange in retrospect, his fine hedge which had been serving as an important barrier to the outside world had become a chair covered in the greenery of its origin. The other hedge similarly had become a table upon which sat many piece of a themed board of chess. Small grassy warriors clashed on the front ranks of the battle - flanked by knights, rooks, bishops of all manner of greenery and flora it was a impressive sight to behold. The Kings and Queens were not spared from the battle at they stood tall in the fray, a mighty tree the former and a beautiful woman wreathed in all manner of brilliant plant that seemed to swim across her body by the moment.

Before he could come to terms with the image swimming before him he was once again called by that same voice, "I fear a storm is coming, Theo. We will have to finish the game another time."

He felt so sad as he met her eyes, a young girl not much older than him it seemed. She was wreathed in the same flowers as the queen's on the board and seemed to be seated upon a throne of flowers to match his of leaves. Before he could be her to stay, a great wind blew and a thunderous sound filled his ears.

"ACHOOO!"

Theodore jolted to his feet out of the hedge he seemed to have half fallen into, while blinking bleary sleep filled eyes. The older boy had just said something at him, What could it have been? Trying to get his barrings he noticed the path of destruction that the other boy had wrecked on his way to his current position and Theodore was once again filled with sadness as his features drooped.

"She was right, He is quite the storm."
