Biography:

Life as a member of the Ryke family is a stressful existence; placed upon a pedestal above the rest, expected to be the best and brightest of the next generation of wizards. The Ryke family is an old, powerful that has accumulated much respect within the Wizarding community. With that respect came a substantial accumulation of wealth throughout the years that has just made the Ryke family seem that much more above the other families. Yet, no matter how much reputation or wealth the Ryke family has gained throughout the years, what they care most about are their roots within the Auror Office. Many members of the Ryke family have held influential positions with the Aurors and even had a few hold the position of Head Auror.

The weight of being a member of the Ryke family is a heavy burden to carry; however, it is felt the most by Henry. Everyday he feels the incredibly difficult burden of trying to meet the expectations set in front of him as a male of the Ryke family. Some days the weight becomes to much for him to carry and he collapses under it all; yet, he always seems to find a safe haven from the pressure in dueling and quidditch.

Academic studies was never his specialty and it takes him many nights of painstakingly long studying in order for him to obtain the grades that he is family is comfortable with. Never able to sit still and listen to the endless ranting of a lecture given to him by a professor, he is known to stare off into space, wishing for the moment that he will be free of the prison that is the classroom.
