Biography:
Eva grew up in a family that was torn apart by cruel circumstance. Her mother was ripped away moments after she was born, and her father blamed her for it, but he didn't abuse her, no. He provided for her needs, but there was no sense of fatherly love. She grew up under the watchful eye of her nanny, a woman named Alison Barker. Alison was a witch, so when Eva began to display her magical tendencies at the age of 1, it was no surprise. The first piece of magic Eva performed was summoning her favourite soft toy, after it being placed somewhere where she couldn't reach.

She didn't inform Lucas but instead raising Eva with love and affection, knowing that she was a witch. Alison brought Eva to trips to Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade and more wizarding places. Eva began to integrate into the wizarding world from a young age and grew up with magic books and magical things. It continued like this until one fateful day. Eva was returning home with Alison when she saw her house that she resided in engulfed in flames.

The four-year-old her cried with sorrow as her father's corpse was discovered. She was bright for her age, and as she saw her father lifeless eyes, she knew what was going on. Despite not being close to her father, he was still her father. She didn't have any more living relatives that they know of, so Alison brought her to Hogsmeade Children's Home.

Alison still visits her on a daily basis, and they were still as close as before. However, when Ali doesn’t visit her, Eva would just go to a corner and began reading silently and on her own. Never having the chance to make friends with the other kids, Eva was a quiet and reserved child with a knack for adventure. Now 10, Eva glanced at the castle with eager eyes, ready to start her magical adventure.

→ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

House Request: Ravenclaw

Personality: On first glance, Eva appears to be sweet, pure and innocent child. Naive is one word that all would use to describe her. However, once you get to know the true her, she turns to be complete opposite. Ruthless, cruel and cunning, far from the sweet girl you know. Her sweet girl exterior is purely for blackmail purposes only. And blackmail she will. Her small and petite exterior makes it easy for her to slip into small cracks and get all the best gossip in the school. She is greedy for knowledge and would use whatever methods she can get to get it. She isn’t lacking on intelligence either. While she might not be able to learn the spells almost immediately, with practice and effort, the spell can come easily to her. She would also mold the spells to her own use. Trying to eavesdrop? A swish and your falling onto the floor. A rather bright witch for her age and background, Evangeline is ready to take the world by storm.

Appearance: Smooth, dirty blonde hair, bright blue eyes and a cheeky smile, Eva would what you will call a sweet child. Pale skin and a dusty rose blush, Eva was petite and the epitome of trust when you peer into her blue eyes.

Option I:

The dungeons. A place eleven-year-old Evangeline had not yet travelled since her arrival at Hogwarts.

A place she really was just fine with not knowing; but it was too late. The dare had been accepted, even if it had been done in fear of being kicked out of Gryffindor, like the older girls had said she would because Gryffindors were supposed to be brave.

The air changed instantly when she hit the main corridor of the dungeons. The dampness was almost too much for her and she instinctively took a deep breath to avoid the sensation of being suffocated. There was also a sour burning smell which Evangeline assumed was from many, many Potions lessons.

Further and further she walked, her steps so slow and gentle they made no noise against the stone walls and floor. The feeling that she wasn't alone crept up her spine and raised the tiny hair on the back of her neck. Shivering, Evangeline wrapped her arms around herself. Suddenly, she missed the warmth and comfort of the Gryffindor common room. The fire was always going and it made her feel at ease.

Why had she let those girls talk her into this? She was only eleven, she didn't have to be brave. Surely the Headmistress would not kick her out of Hogwarts for not being brave.

If only she had these thoughts while being dared to search for the ghost of one Emma Birch, whom supposedly haunted the dungeons. It was not, Evangeline had learned, the place where the sixteen-year-old girl's life had ended but as she had been from the house with a snake as its mascot, it was the place her spirit had returned to. That common room was down here somewhere, she'd been told.

Something - the small blonde girl wasn't quite sure what - but something made her stop in her tracks suddenly. There was a low, dull thumping noise. Or maybe that was her heart beating so loudly she thought it was coming from outside her body.

"H-h-hello?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Remembering that she was supposed to be brave, Evangeline tried again.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

The sound of her own words bouncing back at her off the walls made her jump.

Frantic steps, angry mumbling and a quiet swear, Eva landed in the dungeons. Of all days, she had dropped her most prized possession, a very special quill gifted to her by Ali. It was nothing special, and rather worn, but it was from Ali. It was an eagle quill, magnificent and one of her favourite quills. She always used it to write to Ali, and her letter had come today, which caused her to panic when she couldn’t find it.

And her swiss army knife is missing. Given that both of them were still there when she went back to her common room, she can deduce that she lost it in the dungeons after her potion lessons somewhere. But where? Pulling the jacket tightly around her, she stomped around in the dungeons, pointing her wand at the floor in front of her. Muttering a 'lumos', she shone it around.

Twenty minutes later, she finally found it. It was lying in a deserted corner. As she stomped her way to pick up the quill and her knife, her hair at the back of the neck stood up. Crouching down in the corner, bright blue eyes darted around nervously. Somebody was here, and she had to put up her defences.

It seemed like a ritual to tell all incoming firsties about the ghost that haunted the dungeon, Emma Birch, who had supposedly died and decided to haunt her. Eva doubted it, but it never hurt to be a little cautious. Clutching the army knife, if anything came at her, she was ready.

(The niggling thought that a knife won't worked against a ghost was pushed out of her mind.)

"H-h-hello?"

The voice was small and tiny, but it wasn't the ghost, Eva could be sure of. It even sounded familiar... The same voice echoed around once more, and Eva smiled. It was the other Evangeline, one that she had paid close attention to. She hadn't managed to get close to the girl yet, maybe now would be the perfect time. Emerging from her corner, she stealthily made her way towards the girl.

"Hello! Are you cold? Do you need a jacket?"

Shrugging off her own jacket, she held it out to the other Evangeline, a kind smile on her face.

Roleplay:
Reply as your character to the following:

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:
'Hogwarts: A History', was clutched tightly between her hands as her eyes skimmed over and over the same paragraph once more. Giving up, she snapped the book shut in annoyance. Leaning on the thick trunk of the spreading oak tree behind her, she slipped the thick volume into her satchel. The simple ponytail seemingly blended into the oak trunk, with the shade almost the same. Her dark green orbs surveyed the sky with curiosity, seeing the easy ease of the older boys zipping through the sky.

The speckle of gold glittered in the sky, sunlight reflecting from it at every angle. She followed the speck of gold, losing it and occasionally spotting it once more. She wondered how it would be, on a broom, so high in a sky, chasing a small, magic ball? She didn't want to be a Seeker, though. Eva rather be a Beater. Which person wouldn't like to take out their anger on a larger metal ball, trying to hit people with it, while still following the rules?

The cry of a small girl, a few years younger than her, dragging a small broom and waving her fist around. A light chuckle and a raised on an eyebrow, Eva reluctantly pushed herself off the ground. She better head back to the Home, perhaps Ali would be there to visit her. If not, she could always visit a bookshop or something.

Her satchel once more over her shoulder, Eva began moving towards the exit. However, the cry of the girl once more rang in her ears, and she spun around. Was the girl asking her to... play? She never really had any friends, and a chance to play was definitely tempting. Weighing the pros and cons of the situations, Eva beamed, bouncing on the balls of her feet excitedly.

"Sure! What do you wanna play?" Eva cocked her head to one side, her brows furrowed in deep thought. "Oh! What about hide and seek?"
