Biography:
The life of Jacobine Weiland was unconventional in many ways. One was that her mother and father had never been girlfriend and boyfriend. Jackie had been created in the spur of a moment, albeit beautiful, as her father had expressed it. Zak Weiland had never tried to hide the truth and upon learning that he had participated in producing a budding life, and that Olivia wanted to keep it, he had accepted fatherhood without question. He came to become a shining star in the life of Jackie from the day that she came into the world pink and screaming and bursting of life.
Another was that she had been born to a father that was a Quidditch professional. A third that she, at eight, had watched that same father fall from the sky to hit the ground never to walk another step again. The transition from always flying to always sitting had been a shock to the child that had skipped the learn-to-walk to go straight to running, usually away from wherever she was being herded, to could climb the tallest tree and gleefully laugh down at a flailing parent.
(Zak used to climbed after, his laughter mingling with hers.)
Much of Jackie's life was, as such, about the beings that surrounded her, be it a firm but kind mother, a child-father, her doting grandparents (magical and muggles alike), or the extremely soft, black cat sounding the name of Shadow. And, surrounded by a large group of friends, Jackie made sure that there was always a racket to be heard.
To some degree, it was clear that Jackie had grown up with parents that had lots of love but no other children, and that she had grown spoilt for it - she suffered nothing and rode the finest broomsticks, which her father had taken to building, refusing to stop flying or burning for his passion even after a long career ran through his fingers like falling sand (- indeed, he never gave the impression of mourning, accepting it as a change like any other). It was with no small amount of admiration that she watched others handle challenges, learning that things had to be really bad before it could not be handled, and that even really bad things often could. In terms of how wild her ideas could get, this was not always a good thing.
Now she was looking forward to the new chapters of her life which included the new school, and watching her father trying to get his new business onto its feet.

Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.
House Request: Gryffindor feels strong here.
Personality:
Jackie is a silly, cheerful, firecracker of a girl, though she is not always the most quick-witted and can need people to spell things out for her a few times. She has an issue staying still for long amounts of time, especially if she finds something to be boring, and may start to act up. She's a very active child and enjoys Quidditch, which has been an important part of her life always.
Appearance:
Jackie is slightly below average height for an 11-year-old, which is of no hindrance to her antics whatsoever. She has dark hair and dark hair from her mother, but share a lot of her father's features as well.

Option I:
The dungeons. A place eleven-year-old Evangeline had not yet travelled since her arrival at Hogwarts.
A place she really was just fine with not knowing; but it was too late. The dare had been accepted, even if it had been done in fear of being kicked out of Gryffindor, like the older girls had said she would because Gryffindors were supposed to be brave.
The air changed instantly when she hit the main corridor of the dungeons. The dampness was almost too much for her and she instinctively took a deep breath to avoid the sensation of being suffocated. There was also a sour burning smell which Evangeline assumed was from many, many Potions lessons.
Further and further she walked, her steps so slow and gentle they made no noise against the stone walls and floor. The feeling that she wasn't alone crept up her spine and raised the tiny hair on the back of her neck. Shivering, Evangeline wrapped her arms around herself. Suddenly, she missed the warmth and comfort of the Gryffindor common room. The fire was always going and it made her feel at ease.
Why had she let those girls talk her into this? She was only eleven, she didn't have to be brave. Surely the Headmistress would not kick her out of Hogwarts for not being brave.
If only she had these thoughts while being dared to search for the ghost of one Emma Birch, whom supposedly haunted the dungeons. It was not, Evangeline had learned, the place where the sixteen-year-old girl's life had ended but as she had been from the house with a snake as its mascot, it was the place her spirit had returned to. That common room was down here somewhere, she'd been told.
Something - the small blonde girl wasn't quite sure what - but something made her stop in her tracks suddenly. There was a low, dull thumping noise. Or maybe that was her heart beating so loudly she thought it was coming from outside her body.
"H-h-hello?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.
Remembering that she was supposed to be brave, Evangeline tried again.
"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"
The sound of her own words bouncing back at her off the walls made her jump.
Roleplay Response:
The dungeons were cool. She could see how it would have been valuable to be sorted into Slytherin for the dungeons alone - there was something about the moist smell and the drip-dripping of the water along the surface of a damp stone wall. The way the sound moved around the rooms and hallways when she lifted a foot to take another careful step, from mere fascination of the phenomenon. She became submerged in it completely, until a distant echo broke her mind's spell and she turned, brown eyes seaching for light in the protruding darkness.
She wondered if there were trolls down here, or snakes or something (would have been fitting for a Slytherin dungeon), but found that she must, most likely, have happened on a ghost, of which there were many in Hogwarts. This one sounded more careful though, meeker in a way, and Jackie's mind took a leap to fanatasise about the potential of aquiring a ghost friend.
So she shouted with enthusiasm - "Yes!" - not actually knowing what she was answering, for she had not quite heard the words. But the ghost was searching, and surely she was a someone that should be sought!
