Hey! Sorry! I accidentally posted the application without finishing it! Here you go!
Again! Sorry!
Roleplay Response:
Lysandra stood, stretching her thin arms up into the air and took a deep breath. The faint tinge of summer was on the wind, she could feel the heat rolling into the season slowly, like a lazy cat.
Carefully, the girl rolled up her mat. She had made her bed in a nice shaded spot under a tree the night before, relying on it's thick broad leaves to keep her out of the sight of any unwanted visitors.
Now, however, she rolled her thin sleeping mat as tight as she could get it and tied it haphazardly with a long bit of rope she'd pulled out of an old woman's dumpster (not after getting smacked in the head with said woman's slipper for rummaging around).
With another sigh, the girl made her way out of the secluded area and into the main parkway, people bustled by; parents with their children, couples exchanging chaste kisses. Ly grinned, she always loved people watching, common folk were so strange to her. She'd once peeked in through the windows of a TV store and listened to the stuff they talked about on their little wizard talk shows, it was all so strange to her!
Instead of worrying about their next meal, they fretted over the newest style of robes. Instead of searching in earnest for the safest place to sleep that night, they discussed Quidditch matches. It was all so strange to the little orphan.
After about half an hour of walking to no place in particular, her stomach growled. It was an all too familiar feeling for Ly. She assessed her surroundings with the solemnity that only a child could manage. Her eyes rested on a old woman sitting on a nearby bench, feeding crows old ends of bread and seed.
Seeing her chance, the waif scooted forward, sure to give the hag a wide berth to assure her secrecy. Step by step, she inched until she was only a few feet away from the woman and the feasting crows.
At this point you would think that Lysandra would attempt to steal the food, or even con the old woman of her possession. But no, Ly considered herself above that, and crouched low to the ground.
In a silent, urgent voice, she whispered to the birds
"Hey, buddy" she muttered getting lower to the ground. The woman in front of her still clueless.
The bird ignored her
"Excuse me" she repeated, trying to worm crawl closer. This time, the crow deigned her a side glance. She counted it as a victory,
"Care to share some of that?" she asked, her voice hushed. The big black bird seemed to huff, and turned with his back towards her. His feathers shaking tauntingly.
"Oh, come on! Just a bit! I won't take anymore than you give me, I promise!" she said, holding up her right hand in a mock salute.
The bird hesitated, looking at the girl up and down before nosing (or breaking?) the rest of the bread scrap towards her.
"Thank you!" Ly quickly shoved the morsel into her mouth, it was dry and stale, but anything to stop her stomach from growling was good enough for her. Suddenly, a demanding voice sounded on her right
"You!" barked the voice.
Ly balked, jumping up suddenly and hitting her head on the now empty bench above her. The old woman must have walked away.
"...Do you want to play?" finished the voice. Ly turned to see a young girl, about her age, indignantly holding a rather pathetic looking broomstick.
The girl was young, probably younger than Ly, but the stray orphan was still a few inches smaller, and many pounds lighter.
"You talking to me?" Ly said, pointing to her chest with a thin finger and approached the other girl, a toothy, shy grin. She held out one dirty hand, covered with thick callouses and scrapes.
"My name's Lysandra, but you can call me Lylee" she said, shoving her other hand into her oversized jacket pocket.
