Biography:
Lamia was a precocious little girl. Reading almost as soon as she was old enough to open a book on her own, Lamia had an odd fascination with nonfiction work. Glaring up at her mother as the insufferable woman tried to read her some popular muggle garbage, Lamia would stubbornly keep herself awake until Alis Cadwallader read to her from the book of her choice.

She had dolls, she wore pink, she was a bit prissy. Even so, Lamia was a bit wild. Her eldest sister had spent a lot of time taking care of her, but it was really her brother that she looked up to. Eirian was wishy-washy. Reese was a powerhouse. He would be the one that made sure the Cadwalladers were known throughout the wizarding world as a family to be reckoned with. Muggleborns with power...that was something to be worried about. He had told her so. And she had heard Uncle Urien talking about it. He didn’t approve of Dylan’s marriage to that Muggleborn Irish woman. Lamia didn’t think she did either.

A hard worker, Lamia took her private study very seriously, kidnapping books from the library she read on subjects her parents wouldn’t want her to know a thing of. Sometimes she thought she knew more than they did. She didn’t always understand the words she read, but if there was a diagram she couldn’t fail to grasp that, at least. If she could put it together, Lamia often took upon herself the painstaking task of piecing together tiny parts to make the whole, and she would do it until she got it right.

She was ready to leave her parents care behind for Hogwarts. They underestimated how intelligent she was. No matter. She would show them, but she would never betray them. The fact that they weren’t very good parents didn’t mean they weren’t her family. One day, when she was grown, she would ensure the future of her family, even the one with the dirty blood.

Family was family after all.

→ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

House Request: Hufflepuff

Personality:
Lamia is just as happy being by herself as with anyone else. She preferred intelligent company, which she so rarely got. As a 10-year-old and a girl, she was consistently marginalised by all. So she preferred to read, or play with her dolls by herself.

Smart for her age, cleverness is still not her first virtue. Though she has very few actual friends—she is painfully selective—those she does have will benefit from her unshakeable loyalty to them. Though she is a discreet fighter, she will make sure that those she cares for will receive just treatment by the world at large. (Though, it should be noted, Lamia’s sense of justice is not necessarily that of the common consensus.)

Lamia doesn’t have many overarching plans for her future, however she is severely concerned with the future of Purebloods. More and more, she finds that mudbloods and muggles are forcing them to claim a station in life that she feels has always been beneath them. She’s too young to know what to do about it, but she’s ready to make sure that the current state of things doesn’t last forever.

Appearance:
Long, straight blonde hair, and severe eyes, Lamia is a young beauty, ready to make the world fall at her feet. Though she is tiny, she walks with the stateliness of a queen, managing to make most people feel looked-down upon—especially when they’re taller. For the most part, her scathing looks are rare. This isn’t because she reserves them for any particular offense; Lamia is merely unconcerned with the lives of those clearly beneath her. She moves somewhere between dancer and royalty, and would never dream of slouching.

Option 2

Lamia was walking with purpose towards the stacks in the library. She was determined to find her answer whatever she had to do. The tedium of going through numerous boring tomes was so tiresome, but it was important to her, so she trudged on. Besides, having numerous books around her often fielded interactions with undesirables, which was a solid bonus.

“Hey!” came a call down the corridor. Lamia ignored it and maintained her pace. “Wait up! It’s for the paper.” Sighing, Lamia continued to walk. It was so demeaning to be called after in this manner. Doesn’t she know who I am? The body that held the voice came up behind her and Lamia rolled her eyes. Never once did she deign to slow her pace.

”What do you think about serving frog legs at lunch? Some say it’s a delicacy, but others think it’s plain gross.”

Sighing, Lamia straightened a little as she walked. Either the girl would trail after her or she wouldn’t, but Lamia didn’t bother to look her way. “I think it’s nice that this…establishment has finally started showing some class. Those of inferior birth are likely to find it disgusting, but those of us with the right sort of...breeding will no doubt find it to be a relief. It’s not their faults though, I suppose.” Moving her eyes slightly so that she could just barely see the reporter out of the corner of her eyes, she added, “Not everyone has quite as refined a palate as others. Perhaps Hogwarts is trying educate those less fortunate.”
