Name: Vivian Sky Elliot

Birthday: 1st March, 1923

Hometown: Duluth, Minnesota

Bloodline: Muggleborn

Magical Strength (pick one): Divination

Magical Weakness (pick one): Transfiguration

Year (pick two): Freshman/Sophomore

Biography:
Vivian was born to Navy captain Noah Elliot and diner waitress Sarah Lowell and lead her life as the only child. With her parents often gone from home, Vivian mostly grew up on her own, building friendships with neighboring kids and their pets, but in her neighborhood there were mostly boys her age and thus she grew up as one of them, spending days climbing trees and pulling silly pranks on one another. She also got used to being called Sky during that time and became much more fond of her middle name rather than the first name. Only when her father was at home did she learn discipline as her father was very strict and she often got to hear a mouthful about acting like a boy.

She began studying in muggle school and continued to do so until she received a letter that invited her to continue her studies in Salem, a school for witches and wizards. She had noticed a lot of odd happenings that she had no logical explanation for, like the levitating plates that she had nearly knocked over at the diner where her mother worked and sudden appearing by school on days she was nearly late for actually important lessons. Her mother was happy and accepting, but her father was not so keen, finding her behaviour already enough of a problem, adding wizard teaching would be a possible disgrace.

Even so, after long conversations, he also agreed and Vivian enrolled in Salem, becoming part of Rook instantly. Neither politics or law interested her and business was boring, she wanted to have fun. Now that out of her father’s reach, she wanted freedom and enjoy her time. And as she studied, she found Divination to be her spot, the rising level offering her better intuition to the already intuitive girl.

Years passed and she found herself happy in the Institute, finding it easier to meet face to face with her father during summer and even came to some sort agreement with him.

Everything changed on the New year to 1975. She was at home when the warp happened, sitting by the Christmas tree, cuddled up in bathrobe and pajamas when everything happened and she suddenly found herself alone and freezing on the street she was familiar with, but the side of the road where her house had been was empty. Confused and cold, she wandered around, trying to find any of her friend’s houses, the odd lights in the sky making her stomach churn, intuition telling her that something awful had happened.

When she was found by Ministry wizards, she was curled up in the stairway of an apartment building, barely clinging to the warmth of her clothing. She often wonders if she would have died that night were it not for the fast work of Ministry.

She finished her school year feeling the memories fading and unable to gather enough money to afford all she could before; even if she didn’t come from a wealthy family, she had been closely dependant on that slight money income every month. But still, the meals in Salem filled her stomach and warmth of bed sheets kept her warm at night so she was thankful for that. And in between she found how much more free she felt now; there was nobody who would lecture her, or at least she thought nobody had rights to - her parents were gone.

She was ready to build her own life and own personality as she wanted.

Vivian, or Sky as she preferred to be called, never was the one to complain about company, team work and the likes, nor she complained about something muggle-world related, so Civil War essay with a partner sounded like a good idea. But what irked her was the dull sitting in library, leafing through the books that barely stayed in one piece.

Before the girl knew it, she had already started putting down some notes of the little bit of lessons about this subject she had heard whilst still in muggle school. It was a pro of being a muggleborn, she knew what these things were about, her father had made sure she knew handful of meaningful facts too, some of which included Civil War.

The slam of the book barely startled her, just pulling her out of the daydream in which she had slipped into, dark eyes turning to look at the boy besides her who didn’t look quite as content with the teamwork as she did.

"How about I write the essay and stuff? You can just put your name on it. Sound good?"

‘’Oh?’’ she sat up straight too, looking at the boy with her brow quirked the slightest bit before a grin spread over her features ‘’Seriously?’’ the excitement was clear in her voice; anything to get out of some schoolwork ‘’Awesome! Here, these are some notes from what I learned, so you couldn’t say I did nothing either.’’ she pushed the piece of parchment in Simon’s hands, reaching out for her bag in the same time.

‘’Toodles, bookworm!’’ she said cheerfully, flashing a grin and waving at the boy before she ran out of the library.
