Biography:
Bonnie Harriet Rookwood was born on April 15th 1957, to Judith Rookwood and Dr. Samuel Ferdian. Before Bonnie’s birth, Judith Rookwood was an acclaimed reporter for the Daily Prophet but moved to Nottingham to live with her muggle husband. When Bonnie was nine months old the Nottingham riots started to pick up fire, and Dr. Feridan was often called to help with the other medics on the front lines. On March 23rd 1958 Samuel Feridan was killed by a rouge gunman and Judith, though heartbroken, knew that the best option for her and her daughter was to move back to the wizarding community in London. Bonnie was raised an only child and was often in the care of her mother’s friends, but she was well loved and never lacked a healthy source of gossip. Even so, Bonnie was introverted from the start, preferring her books and solitude to the fast passed world of her mother’s life. The day she received her letter from Hogwarts was the most exciting moment of her life.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Bonnie’s antisocial tendencies, though at times debilitating, has helped her to develop an interest in human interaction and brain chemistry. For most of her life, Bonnie’s favorite activity has been people watching, which often leads to further alienation from those she observes.

Personality:
Bonnie, though very shy and often scared of too much human contact, is a generally happy person. She gets a lot of genuine enjoyment out of reading about human phycology and watching other people have a good time. She likes cooking and experimenting in the kitchen, but it isn’t a hobby she actively peruses. When approached by an old friend, Bonnie is more likely to shake their hand than hug them, but she will talk to them animatedly if she is interested in what they are discussing. She has a deep abiding fear of loud noises and chaos, but doesn’t really understand how to communicate those fears. She is sometimes perceived as a downer or a party killer but it is a lot easier for her to be around these kinds of events so long as she has someone familiar nearby.

Appearance:
Bonnie is a short, dark skinned brunette who often keeps her hair cut in a bob to frame her face (on her mother’s suggestion). She once experimented with pierced ears but asked her mother to charm the holes closed when she realized that she didn’t have much of an interest in jewelry.

SAMPLE ROLEPLAY
You come across one of these three posts on the site. Please reply to one only as your character would.
*** Remember, you can only roleplay your own character's actions, not James' or Astrid's.

Option I:

(Blimey, the Great Hall was packed. It seemed like everywhere a guy looked there was some clown waving around a House banner or yelling about the game.

'Can you believe it?' 'No way!' 'This must be the biggest upset in Hogwarts Quidditch history...'

Stupid Quidditch.

James flopped into an empty seat at the end of the table, shoved an empty plate out of the way, and let his head sink onto his crossed arms, squishing his freckled nose down flat against the tabletop. He wasn't sure why he'd even bothered to come here, since he definitely wasn't hungry. He'd probably never eat again, in fact. He didn'tdeserve to eat. He hadn't stopped in the locker room to change out of his muddy, sweaty uniform after the game either, because he was pretty sure he probably didn't deserve to be clean too; and anyway he couldn't stand to see the looks on his team mates' faces after he blew their chance at winning one of the biggest games they had ever played.

Just one lousy shot. That's all it would have taken. If he could have just got that one stupid foul shot to go through that one stupid hoop, they could have won and he wouldn't have been the biggest blockhead in the entire school.

As if to prove the point, half the people at the next table suddenly broke into a loud victory chant. James pressed his face further into his arms to hide the bright red blotches he could feel creeping up his cheeks. That was it. He was just going to have to run away and move to Nova Scotia. He'd just cost the three-year-in-a-row Champions the Quidditch Cup! How do you ever live that one down for crying out loud? He was only a second year and he was going to spend the rest of his life as 'that dumb cry-baby kid who dropped the Quaffle!'

It felt like every set of eyes in the room was boring into him, and James couldn't stand it anymore. He jerked himself back up from the table and stomped right back out of the Hall the same way he had come in. As he stormed into the quieter hallway outside, he could hear footsteps somewhere behind him. James rounded on the sound and began to shout, his brown eyes shining with tears. "WHAT! Haven't you ever seen a loser before? Why don't you just take a picture!")

Sample Roleplay Response:
Bonnie clutched her spell books tightly to her chest at the sudden outburst. Despite their load, she felt the urge to throw her hands over her ears and run, but she thought better of it as the moments ticked by. Bonnie had only actively fled from a situation once and that was during a particularly violent incident with her roommate’s owl, and a Quick Quotes Quill her mother had sent her. All this aside, Bonnie could see that the boy was all but livid, and she was in no mood to talk him down. She was just returning from the library which had been stuffed to bursting with chattering students, all going on about the Quidditch match that was set for today. Even after most of them had shoved off to go watch it, it was nearly impossible to escape the screams, jeers and cheers of the crowds on the field.

Bonnie looked at the boy warrily, taking a second to get her sudden shot of adrenalin under control. Maybe he wasn’t livid, she thought, getting a second look at his expression. He seemed to be on the verge of tears, but then again, what did that have to do with Bonnie? Sure, when people get upset they often take it out on those around them, but she hadn’t meant him any harm. She hadn’t even been especially close to him when he shouted at her.

Realizing that she had been standing there dumbfounded for far longer than is socially acceptable, Bonnie felt a trickle of panic slip down her spine. She readjusted her books, shot her eyes towards the floor and muttered an “I’m sorry,” before dashing around the boy and towards her common room.
