Application for Hogwarts School

→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.

Name: Brielle Charmaine Strauss

Birthday: April 3rd

Hometown: 42 Island Wall, Whitstable, England

Bloodline: Halfblood

Magical Strength (pick one): Transfiguration

Magical Weakness (pick one): Divination

Year (pick two): First or Second

Biography:

Born in an incomplete family where she had never met her mother since the age of four, Brielle had grown up with her father in the northern side of Whitstable in a small house around a small town. Since the separation of her parents and her mother disappeared elsewhere, Bob, Brielle's father, had another marriage with a widow when Brielle was eight. The widow, Lucinda, had a son who was two years younger than Brielle, named Dirk.

Bob wasn’t a very supportive father. He worked in a small company being a fisherman, yet he often came home late—and with drunkenness; therefore he barely had time to spend with Brielle. Lucinda hadn’t been a loving step-mom either; she prioritized her son, of course, Dirk, over Brielle. She also succeeded on making Bob putting more attention towards her and her son instead of Brielle, his biological child. Through her ups and downs during childhood, she somehow discovered later on upon the reason why her father had turned his back from her mother, Casey, and why he hadn’t been paying attention much to Brielle either. Her mother was a wizard, and it was when Bob got home drunk that he unconsciously blurted out everything. Back during her babyhood, it became the reason why Bob chose to leave her and took Brielle with him without any realization that she would grow up to be just like her mother. But as the years passed by, Bob did witness peculiar things happened around her daughter; and therefore became secretly terrified of it.

When Brielle received her letter, everybody was elated; Brielle knew she would escape the Muggle life and make her own living with the people who are just like her. Her family she left behind was also happy they would no longer have to live with what they call a troublesome young girl like her.

→ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

House Request: Gryffindor.

Personality:

Having not so much of a pleasurable childhood made Brielle grow up becoming a tough, nosy, yet independent young girl. Though not so much of a bookworm and had lived a Muggle life on the first ten years of her life, she continually became so thirsty of discovering new area of practical magic she had never learned before, and this was supported with the fact that her mother was a witch too. She wanted to find the background of her mother and she tended to be able to bear and embrace anything that came before her. She was quite adventurous and daredevil, also. Because family wasn't her source of comfort, her slightly blunt personality once or twice became helpful for her on making friends.

Appearance: She has long, wavy blonde hair which sometimes appears to be unkempt. Her eyes are bright blue, and she has average height for girls her age.

Option 2.

She never knew flowers were that beautiful.

Brielle was not exactly a type of girlish young lady who puts attentions to flowers and dresses, but the blooming magnificent plants were as though inviting her to adore their beauty. She could not help but coming closer to them, stealthily and carefully not to stomp and destroy them. It was as though a piece of heaven had fallen to the earth—which was then immediately ruined by a commotion coming from an elder boy.

Brielle turned around on her spot, frowning hard. For the sake of a leprous donkey, why on earth would someone be rushing aimlessly in such a heavenly place like this...?

Her frown became even more obvious when the elder boy, seemingly in his fifth year, shouted for a rat. Right when he abusively pulled a section of red flowers, Brielle chose to take action. "Hey!" She cautiously walked towards the boy, her brows furrowed harder than ever. The boy was quite embarrassing, she thought, wiping his nose to his robe like that. His haughty voice as he spoke to Brielle made her even more annoyed. Now standing before him, she crossed her arms over her chest, narrowing her eyes. Disregarding him being older than her, she replied him straight away.

"Yeah, there is. Can you not be so brutal towards the flowers? They want to live too, you see."

She had no idea since when she became so aware of the environment, though.
