Biography: Vincent was born in the early hours of November, on a surprisingly sunny day for mid-November in the Midwest. His parents, Captain Jonathan Greene and Mathilda Greene, had been trying for a child for some time, and were overjoyed at the birth of their son.

He grew quickly, his father taking an especial delight in his sons keen eye and ability with a baseball, and his mother enjoying his quietly contemplative moments were he would sequester himself in the local woods with a pile of dog-eared fantasy novels. He was never much good at making many friends, and as the family moved frequentally while his father changed military posts, it was quite normal for him, and he grew very close to both his parents.

As he grew, he began to drop the athletic interest his Father had taken such enjoyment in, and while admittedly a bit disappointed, he nonetheless adapted and helped him in what ways he could. It was around his eighth birthday that his magical talent gave a sudden flare, accidentally falling out of his upper window only to find himself gently floating to the ground.  Forced to explain, his Mathilda sat both him and Jonathan down to explain her heritage as a witch of Whistle Rock Coven.

Despite the revelation, and after demonstrating some minor cantrips for her husbands curiosity, Jonathan seemed to take it mostly in stride - albeit with a number of Sunday visits to Church, his faith a very important part of his character.

Jonathan himself was overjoyed to learn he had mystical powers, and he proved a significant handful for the next three years as he pored through every piece of information he could get regarding the wizarding world. His father, however, ever practical, spent a good deal of time grounding him in traditional academia, including the strong discipline that he held as core to his own success in life.  Suitably prepared, it was in the summer before his 11th birthday he received his letter to the Salem Institute, and was keen to get started as soon as possible.

His first year marked him out as a promising student, as he took to his studies with a combination of genuine interest and the discipline his father had instilled in him. He proved particularly apt at impromptu magic, and while considered a bright boy, had a talent for causing trouble when experiments in magical theory went awry. This trend continued into his second year, some would argue worsening even, and became especially troublesome when he began seeking help in modifying ancient runes for modern usage, treating it as an especially difficulty puzzle. While his academic devotion is faultless, his disregard for conventional rules has made him something of a problem child, and his difficulty in forming lasting relationships has left him largely self-contained. The start of the third year is something he looks to with especial glee, especially the placement into a Society.

My apologies, is this flavor text, or an actual location? I seem to be having a spot of trouble in finding the relevant thread :P
