Winter lived in an orphanage for almost all her life. She didn't have many friends, but she didn't really care, since she felt more comfortable with two of her best friends: Izzy Carter and Gwen Fairbank. She was different from others, and she knew it. Sometimes, she could transform a bird into a worm, just by looking at it. She saw many weird things, such as glass disappearing, people transforming to animals and such... When she received her letter from Bauxbaton, she didn't know what to think.

"Can't you watch where you're walking?" A sharp voice snapped at Hilary. She turned around, and saw a ...goth? Glaring at her. She felt tears coming in her eyes.
"I...I swear, I didn't mean to..." She stammered
The goth saw the tears in the poor girl's eyes, and pity took over her.
"Hey, it could be worse, besides, I still have time to change. But next time, you better watch out." She finished, before walking away, and leaving a puzzled Hilary. She turned around, and glanced at the Goth, before she exited the hall..
"I need to get to know her better." She promised herself, before sitting down and enjoying the meal.
