Biography: (100 words minimum.)

Savannah was born in the springtime, a breath of fresh air to both her parents tainted with their winter born, Sahara. Both girls were as lovely as the sky was blue amidst a summer day, with hair like gold strands of thread. Sahara was the elder child by one year and grew as tall and willowy as silk, with eyes the colour of lapis lazuli under the right reflection of the light. Savannah, on the other hand was the gold to her sisters silver, with lashes darker overhead ochre irises.

She cried more than her sister did, and slammed clammy fingers against tables when things went awry. While Sahara hushed her words, Savannah demanded them to be heard and spoke almost always above the suitable tone.

However the sisters, as different as they were, both shared the lost memories of their parents and early childhood as though rinsed away by the orphanage that took the girls in. 'Greystone House', dwelled by the seaside, surrounded by sand,  fair as alabaster and ocean darker than you would have expected. Boulders wrapped around the back of the building, bandages to prevent the tear of the sharp splatters of salted waves whilst rain often poured against the windows and reflected storm clouds within the eyes of curious young ones. The 'House' wasn't pleasant to the children nor did it neglect, it simply was and did its purpose until suitable homes were found for the right child.

Savannah and Sahara spent only a few small years within its walls before finding their place in the house of two muggles, both as conventional and unvarnished as the typical Londoner would have been expected to behave. They were neither religious, nor particularly scientific and played out their lives as it was handed to them. Martin Stiles worked as an officer to the law in London while his wife, Elizabeth, worked in a nearby bakery. Elizabeth was a stark little woman who had been told, after years of trying that her womb was bare and she would not be able to have her own children, however took in the two girls as though they had been born to her.

Martin was never as affectionate as his wife, but loved the girls and guarded his family as fiercely as an old bear would protect his den. Savannah took quickly to her new family and her sister followed with slightly more timid steps, but there was no doubt that they have acquired their true place in the world with memories of grey stone and rough seas only a daydream away. The family dwelled within a small apartment that catered to Elizabeth and her work. The kitchen always smelt of flour and hardly ever remained spotless for very long with all three females often busy with decorating fine cakes and baking breads of different sizes and nuttiness.

Whilst Sahara did exceptionally well in the kitchen, Savannah couldn't find her fingers steady enough for the fine-tune work and rather followed her father around when he was home. She was an active child and preferred the rough and tumble of things rather than the delicacies of her sister. Both girls attended elementary school and participated in after school activities such as dance and music. Savannah would also go along with her father to the fields and forests, learning both how to shoot a gun and track wild animals. She was only eight when she made her first kill and proudly trotted home with a squirrel tied around her belt.

Naturally, Sahara was mortified at her sisters brutish hobbies but didn't interfere much until after their mother passed away.

It was just before the first Hogwarts letter arrived, when Elizabeth fell ill with fever and it wasn't long before she passed away in the quiet of their home. The girls were distraught and lashed out in different ways. Sahara refused to leave her bedroom for days whilst Savannah could never be found at home, confined within the walls that saw her mother pass on. Martin was also severely effected by the death of his wife, and worked longer and longer hours, straining both the relationship with his daughters and sense of self.

But as things often do, it did get better and Sahara attended Hogwarts while the rest of the family struggled to accept the idea that the mystical and magical existed within their very vanilla world. Savannah longed to join her sister and bounced from wall to wall whenever an owl was seen delivering a letter. It wasn't long before she joined her sister and thrived at school, the loss of their mother another windblown thought away from adapting minds.

A new world had begun along with the chaos and enjoyment that walked alongside it. But Savannah was as ready as she'd ever be and took on each day with vigour and determination.

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:

The sky was blue and Savannah couldn't help but wonder why it hadn't chosen to darken along with yesterdays rainclouds that hid behind the skyline like children clutching at their mothers skirt. But it wasn't as though she disliked the sunshine, because that was certainly not the case, it was simply perplexing that one day could change the decision of the clouds as drastic as sun and rain. But then again, she did have a sister, she should be used to mood swings by now and especially high maintenance mood swings.

Bless, Sahara... But sometimes Savannah needed a break from the more sumptuous blonde.

Savannah had decided the night before that she would visit the little town while a fellow schoolmate did some shopping nearby. Savannah had trailed behind the other girl for a little before deciding to stroll towards the park, especially when she heard that ice-cream was being sold nearby. There were even rumors that some of the sprinkles would fly away if you didn't consume the little buggers fast enough.

Naturally, she was intrigued.

But it wasn't until she reached the far side of the park, that she noticed the broomsticks, flecks of colour amidst green grass and stone pathways. The players were loud and rowdy, as most children are and zipped upwards and downwards, clearly taking advantage of the weather today. But she couldn't help but notice that nobody had an eye-cream. 'Disappointing', she thought to herself before only then noticing the little girl that marched ever closer.

"You!"

"Me...?"

"...Do you want to play?"

Savannah nodded, her lips curving into the smallest of smiles. She took one more look around the park for the ice-cream, that was presenting itself to be no more than a myth before answering, "Sure, but I don't really think I'll fit on that broom of yours. Got any other game ideas?"
