Hi Esmund!

Your application looks great! There are, however, some tiny details that'll need to be addressed before we can get you accepted.

Quote
After being selected as team captain for two years and graduating from castelobruxo

While Castelbruxo and other wizarding schools outside of Hogwarts are not currently played locations, we still ask that you refrain from assigning official positions like Quidditch Captain or Prefect to characters from these schools. He can still be a part of the team, but if you could simply edit out the part about him being a captain, you'll be good to go!

Secondly, you say Esmund is Australian but list his school as Castelbruxo, which is a Brazilian school. I'm wondering if that's what you intended, since it's on a different continent. If it was, that's fine -- you don't need to edit anything. Otherwise, our site has expanded upon the official Rowling canon with some Australian schools you can choose from!

Once you've made the necessary changes to your biography, please repost your entire revised application below and we'll give it another look!

Hello Lillith!

You're almost there! However, while, in your RP sample, Lilith now reacts to Janey's actions, she still gives Janey nothing to respond to, which would make it quite difficult for a thread to move forward. Furthermore, while we don't enforce a word count, your response is shorter than the standard posts on our site. For reference, you can use the 3x3 rule: three paragraphs of three sentences each.

If you're not sure what to write, you can talk about what brought Lilith to the park in the first place, what she thinks about Quidditch, what she's wearing -- whatever crosses your mind! Most importantly, though, she needs to give Janey something to react to.

Janey asks Lilith whether she wants to play or not, so how would Lilith react to that? Is she distrustful of strangers and of Janey's aggressive attitude? In that case, Lilith could turn down the invitation and wait to see what the other girl does next. Or is she instead eager to invite another child's invitation to play? In that case, she might enthusiastically say yes. Or perhaps Lilith has brought a toy or a game of her own she can offer as an alternative to Janey's proposal. It's up to you!

Once you've made those changes, please post your entire revised application below and we'll be happy to give it another look!

Hi Beatrice!

In order to apply, you'll need to fill out the student application template provided here. If you scroll down to the bottom of that post, you'll see a blue box with a [select] button. If you click that, you'll be able to copy that template, which you can then paste into a new topic for your application, where you can fill it out.

Also, once you're accepted as a Hogwarts student, you will automatically be given access to the Elsewhere boards, so you'll only need to fill out one application!

If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Hi Hugo,

Your bio is great! I'm looking forward to seeing Hugo brood around our boards.

However, there is one small issue with your roleplaying sample: at the end of it, you have Hugo leave. While this is a one-off reply for a character who obviously won't respond, we would prefer you write as if this were a real thread, giving Amelia's hypothetical player something to respond to. Really, all you need to do is remove a few sentences from your last paragraph and you'd be good to go.

Also, bear in mind that characters under 25 are considered apprentices or trainees in their Ministry positions. Therefore, Hugo will be made an Auror-in-Training until he meets the requirements to become a Hit Wizard. If you'd rather he be a Hit Wizard immediately, you could consider making him older.

Once you've made the required change, please post your entire revised application below and we'll give it another look! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Hi Elijah!

I love you application -- Elijah and Nora's story is truly hearbreaking.

However, there is one small issue with your roleplaying sample: at the end of it, you have Elijah leave. While this is a one-off reply for a character who obviously won't respond, we would prefer you write as if this were a real thread, giving Joshua's hypothetical player something to respond to. Really, all you need to do is remove a few sentences from your last paragraph and you'd be good to go.

Once you've made the required change, please post your entire revised application below and we'll give it another look!

Hi Beatrice!

There's no rush if you don't have time today. Student applications open in roughly four days and will remain open for a whole month after that. If you're really eager to get started you can apply as an elsewhere child in the meantime, but you'll still need to fill out the student application when April comes around in order to be admitted to the castle boards.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with!
