SHOPKEEPER QUESTIONS
Answer these questions only if you are applying to be a shopkeeper as well.
Shop name: Black's Security Showroom
Shop Description (200 words minimum): Inspired by Ethan Black’s previous careers in defence and security, Black’s Security Showroom is a shop where people can purchase artefacts which provide self-defence, such as invisibility cloaks or distraction tools, such as Black’s Own Fog Bombs (which are pretty self explanitary). The bottom of the shop be split into three parts: a ware-house, where people can practise self-defence spells and experience the artifacts that they have purchase (at the back); a lab, where Ethan and Employees can study and perfect the artifacts they sell (in the middle, save for a hallway with links the rooms together on the west side of the floor); and the ‘show room’ at the front of the building. The show room would have rows of glass cases, allowing for the artifacts to be safely kept while being brilliantly displays.
Self defence classes would be held upon appointment and Auror’s from the ministry will be approached as tutors. Lessons can be tailored to needs - woman’s self-defense, for example, may differ from the needs of a first year looking to scare off his bullies. Costs may vary.
The Product-Development lab would provide employment and allow for new products to arrive quickly and efficiently, as well as cutting down costs for the customer.
Amongst the items - such as the invisibility cloaks and distraction tools - would be products which repel spells, ready-made polyjuice potions, and foe-glasses. A full product list will be posted on the shop board, and there will be a great range in prices to accommodate the different audiences.
What purpose will this shop serve other than selling things and being the home of your character? Why would people want to RP there just for fun?
Black’s Showroom would not be exclusive - while it may have big clients, such as other shops which may need protective measures, it is also useful for troublemakers and wanna-be heros alike. So if you’re a school-boy, looking to distract a teacher while you pull a prank, or a goblin looking for a new door for your vault, Black’s Security Emporium is the place to for all your vulnerable needs!
The self-defence classes would also attract customers, especially in a time where the magic world is dividing so much.
