Late August, a rainy day

Megan was not having a good day. The woman had messed up her potion way too many times. Which was incredibly embarrassing. And the unicorn she was trying to coax for some hairs had bitten her.

But thankfully her fourth attempt at the potion was going decently.

The bell then rang. A curse word escaped the wanmaker's mouth Megan basically ran at top speed. The bandage on her hand was dangling precariously. Thankfully there were warm cookies on the table.

"Good morning." She asked as she arrived behind the counter. "How can I help you?" She asked the girl in the store.

Her mental goal was to finish this sale by the ten minutes had passed for the simmering.

Morgan, no matter how many times Maddox brought her to Diagon Alley, could not get used to all of the magic that was on open display. Every time he introduced her to something new - something her mum had never bothered to show her - she wondered just what else she had never seen before.

Getting a wand was one of those things. Morgan was nervous, but also excited at the prospect of having something so important to keep up with. She was good at keeping up with the random lost things she found, so this should be no problem.

The inside of the wand shop was almost claustrophobic - it was covered floor to ceiling in boxes of wands. Her green eyes were wide with wonder as she approached the counter, Maddox waiting outside for her.

“Good morning. How can I help you?”

The woman seemed nice enough. She glanced back at the window, spotting Maddox, then at the woman. “I need a wand, I guess,” Morgan responded, still feeling a bit strange asking about it. She’d considered having Maddox come in with her, but decided she wanted to do this part on her own.
