A Bit After the Masquerade Ball Begins
Brutus could be a gentleman. Especially when his father sent him an extra bit of allowance, and his mother sent him a new suit jacket for the ball that had some orange trim to fit the occasion alongside a leather mask with orange leaves as the design. The note his father included folded alongside the galleons, even made it so he didn’t have to make some excuse to leave Kora in the afternoon to deliver the potion ingredients that were collected in the forbidden forest - as his father requested Tigran. A weird ask, but he was easily distracted by extra allowance. Plus since he’d gotten Tigran to do the work, as was typical, all the money really should go to his cousin - not that he ever let his cousin get all the money always taking some of it for himself. He only hoped his father reduced the amount that would be handed off to Tigran so the boy didn’t realize it. Though considering it was his father’s own lectures that ensured Tigran never got more than half he wasn’t worried.
He’d had a fun day at the festival hanging out with Kora and other friends having left that a bit late to head back to the castle. As there was a ball, and who would wear ball clothes to play festival games - thankfully not him as he’d gotten soaked with some weird colored liquid when one of his friends earlier in the day turned the water pistol on him. The liquid was definitely not water making him chuckle as he realized the game was rigged - a note he only whispered to Kora jokingly afterwards.
With a smile he looked over towards Kora as they walked back towards Hogsmeade and said “ Do you want my jacket? It’s charmed to be cozy. “ He probably should have offered it to her when they left the castle, but admittedly his eyes were to distracted by her outfit. Taking off the jacket to offer it to her he noticed how chilly the night air actual was and said “ It’s better than warming charms. “
Though naturally with that statement his wand pointed quickly at his own light grey long sleeve shirt he was wearing and casted a warming charm on it.
Then he asked curiously " Do you think people will really wear the masks? " His own mask still hidden in the inside pocket of the jacket he offered to Kora.
