Biography

Xavius Caepio Brutus Ellwood-Luxe was an accident. Demetrius and Virginia Ellwood-Luxe never intended to have another child after Evander; Xavius just kind of… happened. His saving grace was the fact that he was a boy; another boy to carry on the Ellwood-Luxe family name.

Demetrius works as one of the most powerful members of the Wizengamot Council. He often would sit through a trial without saying one word, and several members of the council would wait until he had given his answer of guilty or not guilty. Without needing a reason they would side with him. He had an air of inward confidence and intelligence about him.

Virginia is a cold woman. She does not like to show any sort of emotion toward anyone, even her own children. She holds everything inside, causing her callousness. She stays home as a housewife.

Growing up, Xavius was always being compared to his older siblings. It was always “Lynn showed so much promise at a young age,” “Marius always picked up spells so easily,” and “Evander was always so easy-going.” Nothing Xavius could do was ever good enough for Demetrius or Virginia (when she paid attention to him at least).

Xavius was so excited the day his Hogwarts letter came. Evander’s letter the year before had been such a production. Father had read it aloud, and then proclaimed that Evander would study at home. The day Xavius’ letter came, father seemed… happy. He practically threw the letter at Xavius and stated “you’re going,” before Xavius could even open it. They wanted him to go – of course! It was a way to get their unwanted child out of their hair.

In the fall of 1969, Xavius boarded the Hogwarts Express. It was the most exhilarating freedom he had ever felt. The first three years were rather uneventful; he skated by in classes and didn't do extracurriculars (those were for the Ravens). It was just so nice not to be compared to his siblings; that was, until his fourth year. Evander finally convinced mother and father of his desire to go to Hogwarts, and they finally gave in. All of the sudden, Evander was getting better grades. Evander had all the friends. Evander was just like he always had been; better.

That is why Xavius made the decision to study abroad at Beauxbatons. Not just for the summer, or the next two years. Then Marius would be graduated, and Xavius could just be Xavius again. It really seemed like the best plan.
