Biography

His steps slowed and became softer as they always did just before he entered the library. He did not care for the stern glance of the librarian. Perhaps if the librarian were younger and prettier and female he might cause a little more trouble here.

Generally speaking, Torin didn't really enjoy causing trouble. It was too often that he had to sort out Tavish's problems that he preferred to keep his own record nice and clean. That way at least one of the Cadwallader twins upheld the honour of their family.

He found his brother at the usual spot where they studied (more than classes, a lot of the time) and participating in one of his favourite pastimes when the world had grown too boring for Tavish. He was leaning back in his chair and was sleeping.

Torin approached, his head shaking back and forth. Why Tavish didn't just nap in his common room, Torin never understood. Torin reached the table and dropped his Transfiguration book heavily unto the table in front of them. Tavish didn't so much as take an extra deep breath.

Sighing, he sat himself down and was ready to start poking at his brother's face when she walked by. One of the other reasons Torin and Tavish chose this particular spot in the library to study. It was right across from the bookshelf containing the fiction novels. This seemed to be a very popular section to the female student body at Hogwarts.

If he wasn't mistaken, the seventh year blonde was sashaying by them a little more than she might normally have done. It wasn't all that surprising. When the twins were together they seemed to get even more attention from females.

Without taking his eyes off the girl, Torin reached out and smacked his brother hard in the chest. He wouldn't want to miss this.

Torin smiled slyly and slid a little lower in his chair as she stopped at the shelf about fifteen feet in front of them. As practised as he had become at checking out his female peers, Torin couldn't help but notice that her skirt seemed to be just a bit shorter than what was allowed by the Hogwarts staff. Usually a rule-follower himself, Torin wasn't complaining about this breach in the rules.

Arms crossed over his chest, a plan was formulating in his mind. He would have to pretend as though he'd been studying Transfiguration the whole time when she turned around to come back this way. And when she was just about to pass by their table again? Well, he'd just have to 'accidentally' drop the book on the floor at her feet. That would get her attention. If it didn't, he would just have to come up with another idea.

Torin liked a challenge and could never back down from one.
