DifficultyIntermediate

Created for a D-Squad prank in the autumn of 1959, this potion transforms water into plastic balls in rainbow colours for the purpose of creating a ball pit. The potion is grey and thick when brewed properly.

Ingredients

4 Litres Water - Room Temperature

128g Flobberworm Mucus

64g Sugar

22g Pure Vanilla Extract

1/2 Ashwinder Egg - Crushed

32g Pixie Dust

128g Belladonna Roots - Finely Chopped

2 Large Packages Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans

43g Honey

60g Gurdyroot

Brewing

1. Bring 4 litres of room temperature water to a boil.

2. Add half of the sugar and stir twice clockwise.

3. Add pixie dust, gurdy root, and vanilla extract. Stir clockwise for two minutes.

4. Boil mixture for ten minutes, stirring every two minutes. Mixture should be light brown and have the consistency of whole milk.

5. Stir in honey slowly, ensuring that it all dissolved into the mixture. Lower heat.

6. Add ashwinder egg and remaining sugar. Stir anticlockwise for two minutes.

7. Add belladonna roots and flobberworm mucus and let simmer for two hours or until the mixture has the consistency of molasses.

8. Add Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans and bring to a boil for two minutes. Mixture should be grey and thick.

Let the potion cool to room temperature before packaging.

Recipe yields approximately two litres of potion.

Application

325g are required to be mixed into a minimum of 50 litres of water in order to achieve optimal results. Smaller amounts maybe be used in less water, but the user will notice a lack of variety in the colours of the balls.

Transformation will take place approximately 15 minutes after the mixture has been added to the water.

Reversing Effects

In a cauldron containing one litre of milk, add equal parts lemon zest, bitter root, salt, and silver. Mix well and freeze overnight.

Add to the ball pit and allow to fully melt. Effects of the ball pit potion should be reversed within 24 hours.
