Biography
Early Life
Born on the fourth of December 1936, into the wealthy Parfait family, Adelaide was the baby and darling of the family. Homeschooled by her governess, Madame Ricard, Adelaide and her older sister, Justine, they both experienced their accidental magic at similar times, and before she turned 11, Adelaide simply learned magical theory.
Her early years appeared to be quite easy, as she and Justine spent their spare time flying, or playing. When they were not playing or studying, they spent time with their mother learning how to become perfect socialites-- with afternoon tea on their balcony, or organising tea parties in their free time.
The Accident
When Adelaide was around 6, her and her sister were flying on their brooms. Flying too high for 6 and 7 year olds, Adelaide fell off her broom. In an attempt to save her sister, Justine grabbed Adelaide's hand and managed to save her from death, but leaving the two tiny girls-- a sobbing Adelaide clinging to her sister's arms-- hanging in the air. Justine was able to lower the pair slightly, but Adelaide couldn't keep hold and Justine couldn't hold onto Adelaide and control the broom.
Adelaide fell.
The blonde woke up in a hospital and spent much of her childhood moving from hospital to hospital in an attempt from her family to heal her brachial plexus injury. In the meantime, she spent her free time in physical therapy. Her Mother, naturally, was not best pleased, especially worried that Adelaide would miss her debut due to her many long term hospital stays.
Adelaide has a long term issue from her fall, often losing all feeling in her arm, and with a much weaker right hand than her left. She also has the worst fear of heights, and lost her relationship with her sister, who started to avoid her. And they spent very little time together, and the only thing that would bring the two girls together was afternoon tea on a Friday with their mum.
From the age of thirteen, Adelaide began to attend more social events and join social clubs, aiming to eventually become a Yarborough member. Although she didn't especially excel at them, unlike Justine who was naturally dynamic. Instead of talking at these events, Addy spent most of her time reading in the gardens-- avoiding people.
Teens
When Adelaide turned 16, her family moved to London for her Father's business. Having reconnected with an old friend Mia Green, Adelaide spent her time between being homeschooled and reconnecting with friends.
Adulthood
When she got older, Addy began dating Jamie Duncan on and off, eventually ending in an off. She also became a Welcome Witch, something which she completely and utterly despised. Unfortunately, this attempt to make it on her own failed and Adelaide returned home.
