Last night was actually pretty fun. She had met a few more people and camp seemed at least a little more bearable. This morning she was up bright and early though, so she thought some light training would do her good. After all term would be here before she knew it.

Running kept certain things off her mind, and it kept priorities on her mind. As she came around for her last lap around the field she sat down on the dewy grass, looking up to the sky.

It was a nice morning. Falling back, she let out a loud sigh and smiled. She should start practicing on her broom, it had been months, but relaxing sounded nice at that moment.

Running and keeping in shape was one of the few legacies Pax had consciously taken and kept from his father. Part of that might have been because Marilyn had hounded him to do it with her all last term, but a lot of it was because those quiet London mornings were some of the only times he felt he could actually relate to the man who’d made him.

Pax was far from the only one who made a routine of fitness, but he figured his peers would take early morning opportunities to sleep, something he was decidedly not good at. He was surprised to find someone else on the field so early, pleasantly so when he realized she would be great incentive for many late-risers to wake up sooner.

Pax meandered closer to the prone figure, and recognition dawned on him. She’d been the one to run into the sea because it sounded more fun than dancing.

“Ever been to a country where you can run in the mountains in the morning and swim in a tropical paradise in the evening?” He asked in lieu of greeting.

“Ever been to a country where you can run in the mountains in the morning and swim in a tropical paradise in the evening?”

She sat up to see where the voice was coming from.. She hadn't expected anyone to be there that early. Especially not Pax. Sure the boy was cute, but he seemed like the type to think the world (girls) revolved around him. In all honestly that's pretty much the truth from what she had seen at camp.

"I'm sorry." She stated with a look of confusion. "Do I know you?"

Okay maybe she was being harsh, but it was the game. People are interested in things that present challenge, especially Slytherin from what she had been told from.her father.

Narrowing her eyes she got up and started stretching to warm up her muscles again. "Wait.. Your name is Aiden, right?"

She would probably laugh about the encounter later, but for now she was fine with laughing on the inside. It was like a game of cat and mouse.. She refused to be the mouse.

If he hadn’t clenched his jaw suddenly, he might have gasped, clutching his pearls, mouth slack. Fortunately for Pax, his face was usually the last thing to betray him, and it remained pleasant, if a little tighter around his eyes.

The string of words that came out of her mouth was all wrong, however. Frankly, he was not used to going unrecognized, even by people he didn’t recognize himself. But this girl he’d been speaking with less than a day ago, and she’d confused him with Aiden?

He laughed, because surely she was joking. Looking at the puzzlement on her face, however, was only more deflating. If she genuinely didn’t remember him, then clearly he’d need to remedy that. And if she was playing games… well, Pax liked games.

He changed tactics, dropping the familiarity and followed her lead.

“You should,” he replied evenly, smiling, “And it’s Pax. Aiden is the one that’s hard to understand sometimes.”

Pil noticed the slight change of muscle tightness around the boys jaw. A boy who thought everyone should recognize him. It made her want to smile, but that would be a dead give away.

“You should, And it’s Pax. Aiden is the one that’s hard to understand sometimes.”

She raised her eyebrows and looked at the boy. "What makes you worth knowing?" She asked out of curiosity. Was he really that important for her to know? Would knowing him suddenly make all of her problems go away? She didn't think so.

"And as for your question earlier, yes. Greece." She stated with a wink. Her home country was the most beautiful country in the world, at least to her.

That's when she had an idea. She placed her hand on the boy's shoulder. "Tag. You're it." She said as she took off running.
