TRUE: Oh my gosh, yes. I always feel a little torn about being in my 30's because like where has time gone?!? I feel like I haven't done enough stuff and I'm already getting old. On the other hand, I'm less of a mess, so that's good. And the small stuff definitely seems not to matter as much. The stuff I freaked out over in my 20s, just isn't a big deal.

I've actually never made any characters from the site in the Sims, because I feel like I can't do them justice? Maybe some day I'll attempt to make Arlo though!

I loved those threads, too!! We'll have to do more when term starts. I'm looking forward to it! <3

SYL:  ...I own EVERY pack actually. I got most the expansions during black Friday sales, so I like that 50% off too. I'm all about making those crazy cat ladies, but Get Famous is turning out to be pretty fun.

I will PM you my goodreads link! I set a goal of 50 books every year, but I haven't managed to accomplish it yet (and I'm so far behind for this year already). I clearly need to make more time for reading!!

OPHELIA: Yes please! I feel so bad RL got  busy and I never managed to do the Able/Anneka thread we talked about.

CAL: Okay, yes, cats are my forever faves!

So I really struggle with getting rid of clothes. Even if I never wear something, I seem to form an emotional bond with it when it comes to getting rid of it. I'm doing pretty well eliminating other clutter.

I'm definitely here for throwing out characters together! David and Cal was a lot of fun.

LIA: I knowwww. It makes me so sad that my computer struggles so much with Sims 2. :(

I highly recommend Outlander! I ordered the last five books all at once and they came in a box that had the heavy warning stickers all over it haha. I literally read nothing but those books for months. It was all I talked about for months. I think you just have to try the first book and see if you enjoy it, because I know it's not for everyone.

Yes, we'll have to thread with them again...and Lionne!

Sooo I just recently started watching American Horror Story for the first time (I know I'm so behind on everything) and just finished Asylum. Which season is your favorite?

I'm here for more Teo/Georgie threads at the castle. And I remember we did a Sarah/Adrian thread once. If you need something for him to do, I can drag Sarah out. She needs some attention!

I'm excited for Sere to be back at the castle!!

Maybe we can have Georgie and Artie get to know each other sometime, since they're so close in age.

We neeeed to discuss where James and EA are now!! Even if we don't thread it out, we should have this figured out because they're getting old.

What's your latest hobby? Last I remember was yo-yos, I think?

I'm intrigued by bullet journaling, but it seems too complex to get started with. Do you make really fancy or artsy ones? I see pictures on pinterest of some and wow. I don't know how people have the time!

I hope all those Razi kids and Mae aren't keeping Jabari too busy to get up to shady things hang out with Pryce!!! ;)

How do you manage two jobs (in retail no less!) and find time to do other things?!? I feel like I shouldn't ever complain about my one job again.

Also how do you keep your plants alive? I tried to grow some herbs INDOORS and bugs completely ate them.

^^^ I have also never watched Vines. I am old.

YES TO THE OXFORD COMMA. Nobody uses it where I work and...it kills me all the time.

I approve of your taste in music.

I can't wait to see you do more with Aphrodite at the castle!

I highly approve of your taste in music. And the title to your intro.

I will argue with you that 2005 was the best year in music in my very biased, relatively-inspired opinion.

This speaks to the emo kid I used to be and probably still am at heart.

1956 / It's time for the SUMMER SURVEY
« on: 04/16/2019 at 00:31 »
Hi all!

Once again, we'd appreciate your feedback on what you like about the site and areas that we can improve. The survey will be open until the end of summer (April 30). We'll use the information to gauge what we need to work on as a site and what to do more of in the coming terms.

Thanks in advance!

  • Hello! My name is Rachel. But I also answer to Neka, Nekkers, Neeks, or hey you! among many other names. I was sorted into Ravenclaw on Pottermore. I live in Southern Illinois. I'm turning 32 in May. I spend my weekdays working at a title insurance company, because it pays the bills. I have fully accepted my future as a crazy cat lady.
  • I'm one of your friendly neighborhood admins. If you have problems or questions or are looking for ways to get involved, send me a PM. Also feel free to send me pictures of kittens or TV show recommendations or plot ideas for our characters. I promise I don't bite.
  • Current Faves cats, Netflix, yoga, reading, Sims 4, making to-do lists, cooking/trying out new recipes, taking pictures, going on walks, purple, leggings, puns, dresses, habitica, documentaries, writing, pizza, Kondomari'ing my life, etc etc etc.
  • Television I'm a TV junkie. I have way too many favorite shows to list them all. My "to watch" list is ridiculously long, but I will gladly take all suggestions! I'm currently watching on TV: Bull, NCIS, Hawaii Five-0, and whatever is on Masterpiece on PBS. On Netflix, I just finished Bitten and have started American Horror Story. I was watching Outlander and Criminal Minds (my current obsessions), but their seasons have sadly ended.
  • Movies I watch way more television than movies, but some of my forever favorites are: Harry Potter, LOTR & The Hobbit, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight, Captain America, The Avengers, Spider-man, Phantom of the Opera, animated Disney films. I'm also into a lot of classic old films. Give me some recommendations!
  • Books It probably goes without saying that Harry Potter is my favorite. Aside from them, my favorite book is Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier. I'm also so obsessed with Outlander (just give me book 9 already ugh). I'm currently reading The Blithedale Romance by Nathaniel Hawthorne. I love to see what everyone else is reading and get ideas, so if you use goodreads and would like to be friends on there, let me know!
  • Music Fall Out Boy forever and always. Mostly, though, I listen to instrumental music while I'm writing, because it doesn't distract me. I enjoy songs I can sing along to (horribly) at the top of my lungs while driving.
  • Games I really love video games, but unfortunately I don't have too much time to play them. I'm mostly playing the Sims 4 lately. I want to start playing the Sims 2 again, because I miss it and it was my favorite, but it depends on if I can get my computer to not hate it. I'm also super into board games, but I don't get much time for those either.
the characters

I don't do plot pages, because I'm THE WORST at keeping up with them, but that doesn't mean I don't want to plot with all of you! If you'd like to thread, please please let me know. Catch me in chat, send me a PM, whatever! My characters are here for your amusement, as well as my own.

Meggg.

I don't think I've ever told you, but I'm pretty sure you're the reason I add question marks to the end of all my sentences?

Anyway, I'm so glad to see you back again and if you want to thread, just let me know! (preferably after term gets started though haha)

UM WHAT? GG IS AMAZING AND YOU NEED TO FINISH IT RIGHT NOW.

As much as it kills me to admit it, I really like all the Taylor Swift songs I've heard recently.

No, I totally didn't copy last term's intro and make minor edits. I don't know what you're talking about.

Hi guys!

Sorry this isn't pretty because 1) I can't code to save my life and 2) I should be using my time to do admin things instead. My name is Rachel. I am turning 31 next month (send presents) and I live in Illinois. I'm a proud catmom of two cats and have embraced my future as a crazy cat lady. I spend my days working at a Title Insurance company to pay the bills.

Things I'm currently obsessed with:

- Outlander. (The books and the show. It was all I talked about for months, because I'm trash. I'm patiently waiting for season 4 and book 9. )
- Criminal Minds. (I've watched this show for years, but I've never enjoyed it as much as I have been in seasons 12 & 13. I spend all my time shipping Penelope and Luke, because I'm garvez trash.)
- The Sims 4.
- Fall Out Boy. (Forever and always. I'm going to see them in concert again this year. In September. At Wrigley Field in Chicago.)
- Yoga. (#yogaeverydamnday)
- Waiting for it to stop raining every day so I can start going on long bike rides through the country again.
- Leggings. (Seriously I can't stop buying leggings. Send help.)
- Making to do lists.

I'm currently reading Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy and The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath. I also love getting book recommendations and stalking what other people are reading. If you want to be friends on Goodreads, PM me!

I have a few characters I've acquired over the years. If you want to thread with any of them, send me a PM. Please. I'm sometimes very slow at posting, but I do want to thread with all of you. <3

- Anneka Ivanova

<3333 you all!

I want to do all of the threads with all of you! I'm trying to become better at managing my time so I can write more instead of just doing behind the scenes things. Thank you for putting up with my slowness always. <3

YOU GUYS. <3 YOU intimidate me with your writing and thank you for always making me want to bring my A game.

Also, you are an absolute star, Caly. I don't know what I'd do without you.

Hi guys!

Sorry this isn't pretty because 1) I can't code to save my life and 2) I should be using my time to do admin things instead. My name is Rachel. I turned 30 this year (yikes!) and I live in Illinois. I'm a proud catmom of two cats and have embraced my future as a crazy cat lady. I spend my days working at a Title Insurance company to pay the bills.

Things I'm currently obsessed with:

- CHRISTMAS EVERYTHING. (It's my favorite time of year and I love everything about it.)
- Outlander. (The books and the show. It was all I talked about for months, because I'm trash. I'm so upset season 3 just ended. Why weren't there more episodes?!)
- Criminal Minds. (I've watched this show for years, but I've never enjoyed it as much as I have been last season and the current season. I'm currently rewatching last season on Netflix.)
- The Sims 4.
- Fall Out Boy. (Forever and always. I just saw them in concert in October and I'm eagerly waiting for their new album to be released.)
- Yoga.
- Baking.
- Making to do lists for the new year. (Not resolutions, just trying to get my life in order because there's a little over a week left in this year and I've given up on 2017 tbh. That means giving my Habitica a makeover so I'll hopefully be better at quests, team!)

I'm currently reading A Dance with Dragons by George R.R. Martin. I also love getting book recommendations and stalking what other people are reading. If you want to be friends on Goodreads, PM me!

FALL. OUT. BOY.

I've seen them live three times. The latest was in October for their Mania tour. If you ever get the chance to see them, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it. I'm a little biased because I love them more than any other band ever, but they seriously put on the most incredible shows. Like the best ones I've ever seen.

SAME. I only have two, though, but they are a handful. I'm totally a crazy cat lady and I love it. No shame!

I'm a big fan of vampires! There's still so many shows/movies with vampires that I need to watch...just haven't found the time yet. Also, Penny Dreadful is on my list, but I haven't started it yet.

Purple! The best color ever! I'm also a Ravenclaw, buy too many books, enjoying lounging around in sweaters, and am not a fan of Cursed Child.
