You run into someone you owe a lot of money to.

Lysander Savage !
Party friends.

our history.
Lys hasn't really had much interaction with Petty. But she's blonde, she's a friend of Hero's, and from what I've heard, up for a rebound.

It was his party. He could be late if he wanted to.

Lysander rolled up the sleeves to his white, buttoned down shirt. He took extra care that they were even, and secure enough not to fall down during the night. His trousers, while casual, still had the looks of being well-tailored. First impressions were everything of course, and he intended to make a good one. The only problem was the change in climate. It was so much warmer here than he was familiar with. The years in Russia had taught him the importance of layering, but upon his return to London, Lysander had found himself shedding clothes like skin shed its skin. There was no use for parkas and thick sweaters here.

It was liberating.

He'd arrived only after, it seemed, the party was in full swing. He waded through the crowds, smiling at some faces, faces he had seen in pictures up until now, and ignoring others. A few he made note to introduce himself to later, but for now.... There was only one person he was looking for.

"I hope I didn't miss out on the fun." He through a brotherly arm around Hero, looking at the two Gryffindors she was chatting up. "Aren't you going to introduce me to your friends?" He noticed the empty goblet, and Hero's flushed cheeks. There was nothing she could hide from him.

"Oh, don't tell me. This is the famous Edgar?" Lysander's smile was growing wider as he held out his hand to the other boy. The timing was impeccable, really. His eyes glanced to the girl beside his new acquaintance. "I've heard so much about you."

"You're my business."

Lysander held the book out of her grasp, not a difficult feat. It made him feel better to watch her struggle, even if it was something so petty. Her flashing eyes didn't scare him, or the tone of her voice. It was what he wanted actually, an excuse to get her closer to him. Her hair was still wet, and Lysander could detect the faint smell of lavender on her.

He waved the book teasingly still in his left hand, before she got close enough for him to make his move. He sat up and wrapped his right arm around Hero's waist, effectively trapped her. The book was dropped to the floor uncerimoniously, using his now free hand to force her to sit next to him. He left an arm drapped around her shoulders if she tried to make a break for it, or go for the book.

"There, isn't that nice? Just like old times." He squeezed her shoulders in an almost affectionate way, ignoring the way she was still seething at him. He made a mental note to check her other journals at a later time. There would be plenty of time to peruse them later, now that he had returned. Lysander Savage was going to make sure they were never seperated again.

"Fine, I'll say it. I'm sorry I didn't write." He could make concessions now that he was victorious. "I let my anger get the better of me, and after a while, it was just easier. I missed you too much to just read words scribbled on a piece of paper between classes." His fingers were twirling circles in her damp hair.

"But does it matter now?"

His eyes charted every move she made. They followed as she pulled the nightgown on, not bothered with his sister dressing in front of him. She was a part of him just as his right arm. He knew every curve and scar, although she seemed to have grown in the past two years. Even with the extra inch or two, Lysander definetly had the advantage. He didn't quite tower over her, but it was just another thing to mark the difference between them. If only the others could be so simple as height.

"Hogwarts? Bu-but what about Durmstrang? You're leaving all your friends?"

His laughter was the only thing to fill the silence that had been slowly building.

"Have you ever been in a Russian winter? It's not something I'll miss terribly." He shrugged. He was much more suited to warmer climates, but he'd settle for wherever she was. He would go back to Siberia if she volunteered to come with him. Lysander wasn't stupid enough to ask.

"As for friends, I'll make new ones. That's never been a problem." He brought up the book in his hand again, tapping it with his forefinger once it was in her eye line. "Besides, it seems Hogwarts is full of people just waiting to meet me."

He turned his back on her finally, making his way back to the bed. He sat down, making himself comfortable, even as his sister became more uneasy. "Let us see." He picked a page at random and began reading.

"4th October, 1971 - We are going to Hogsmeade next weekend! I hope the weather holds up. It has been absolutely horrible these past few days. Rain, rain, rain and more rain. I think I shall do an Ellerie and skip off to France where it is much nicer. I wonder if she will come back. Why would I want to though, really? I have a wonderful boyfriend, wonderful friends. Life is wonderful is stormy Scotland."

"It looks like Hogwarts is so much fun. Look here, later on - 'Things seem to be going well with Lydia and Kellen. He is so cheerful these days. Its wonderful.'"

He had seen that name in other passages. Ones less cheerful, so he started there. "Lydia? She seems nice. Is she one of your best friends? How's the boyfriend? We have so much to catch up on, dear sister."
