Biography:

The DeAngelis family fancied themselves unauthorized enforcers of the law. Nicolas and Destiny never did make it through Auror Academy. Which suited them just fine. Oh, they were talented enough to pass with flying colors. They just didn’t follow the rules. They were ruthless, and did what they had to do to get the job done.

Which is how their little business came into play.

You didn’t mess with them if you knew what was good for you. Owed a debt? It was usually best to pay up before the DeAngelis’ came to collect. They never found themselves in a mess they couldn’t buy their way out of. Though people feared them so much that they rarely reported them, anyway.

Such was a case that the Triplets were brought into the mix. No one could recall Mrs. DeAngelis even being pregnant. But they returned from a long trip in Italy with three baby girls. Triplets, they said, who were their pride and joy.

Fraternal girls who were as different in looks as they were in personality, each shining in different ways. Gabriella liked to think of herself as  the leader of the pack even if her sisters didn’t always agree. She was the oldest by about 5 minutes, and she wouldn’t let them forget it. But there wasn’t a single thing she wouldn’t do for her sisters. She had her parents ruthlessness and bravery, but she was different. She didn’t have their brutality. She had a very kind heart and didn’t like to hurt people unless absolutely necessary.

It was tough, being a DeAngelis. And she sometimes wondered if she didn’t quite fit in with her parent’s plans. It didn’t matter to her, though. She respected what they did, but it wasn’t exactly for her. She was going to find her own way.

Option 2:

That rat of his was in for it now.

The gray little rascal had disappeared from his clutches at breakfast. Again.

Before Hugh even knew what was happening, Merlin had shot across the floor, somehow managing to avoid all the feet walking across the hall and had escaped through the open doors.

Which meant that Hugh was now stomping through rows of flowers and other various flora, searching for the small creature. It was like the rat knew Hugh was allergic to most flowers. Merlin always chose to run to the gardens whenever he got away from Hugh. It was as if the rat did not want to have him for an owner.

Hugh had named his pet Merlin because he had hoped the powerful name would give the rat more incentive to be more than a rat. Not that he expected Merlin to change into a wizard or anything, but rats were just so...useless, for the most part. With a name like Merlin, Hugh thought it might give the rat purpose.

The only purpose Merlin seemed to have was getting away from Hugh as often as possible.

As the fifth year trudged into the second row of flowers, not taking much care to avoid trampling the first row, he felt the first sneeze building up pressure in his nose and behind his eyes.

"You blasted rat! Where are you?"

He pulled apart a section of bright red flowers; he didn't know what they were called because he despised flowers, and ducked his head low to peer into the depths of the flowerbed. It was moving closer in proximity to the flowers that finally did it. Hugh took in three great breaths and then let out an almighty sneeze. It was strong enough to disturb some of the dirt on the ground before him.

Groaning, he stood up again and wiped his nose on his sleeve. It was as he was turning his head, his nose running up and down his arm, that movement in his peripheral vision caught his attention. Normally one who preferred to put his best face forward, Hugh was a bit embarrassed to be caught wiping his runny nose on his robes.

Nevertheless, Hugh put on his best haughty voice. albeit a bit thickly with his plugged nose and said, "Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

Brie was waiting on her sisters. They were always late. Gia was probably having a hair emergency or else just forgot that they were meeting up altogether. And Gem… well she almost certainly remembered they were supposed to be meeting, but was making it a point to arrive late just because meeting times weren’t her thing or something similar. It was fine. Gabriella brought something to do in the meantime.

Because she was always ready and prepared.

Pulling several heavy books out of her bag, she began to arrange them in front of her. She had a latin dictionary, a nasty book of potions and blueprints to one of their parents buildings. Though she was absorbed in her work, she was vigilant. And so when a sniffling boy caught her glancing his way, she’d slipped any evidence behind pages or in a folder and scowled at him.

“It’s also impolite to get your nose dripping all over the flowers. And for the record, I wasn’t staring I was just looking, there’s a difference. What are you looking for anyway?”
