Biography: (300 words minimum.)
The Delacroix family has always been important. Big names in the magical world, Luke was not only expected, but required, to step up himself. From the time he was young, his parents put a lot of pressure on him to do the right thing, to be the best, and to stand out from the crowd. He excelled in many areas of sports as a child, playing in community quidditch leagues, setting the stage for an area that would eventually become his career.

He attended Hogwarts at eleven, finding a home in Slytherin with ease. He built a connection of friends that would serve him well after his school career ended, made a name for himself on the quidditch team, and excelled when it came to his classes.

But most importantly, Luke met Chantal. It wasn’t love at first sight, since they’d taken classes together since they were eleven. But rather, when they returned from the summer before their fifth year, suddenly he couldn’t think of her as just Chantal anymore. After a successful courting period, they started dating, only to be married shortly after their education finished.

His connections through his school quidditch career found himself a job in the Ministry. He briefly entertained the idea of being a professional player, even got into some talks about it, but the announcement that they would be expecting a child pushed him towards something a little more stable and safe. He’d always pictured himself as a father and he couldn’t wait to see the sort of person his child would turn out to be.

However, it didn’t take long for him to get bored with the Ministry work. He couldn’t leave; the job security was far too good and the connections were even better. But he began to dabble in other areas in his free time. Nothing too severe, just some broom racing and product moving, things that helped bring significantly more money into his household with the least amount of risk. It kept things interesting though, and it allowed him to provide an even better life for his wife and daughter, one where they could have anything the wished with a simple request.

His daughter was and continues to be the light of his life. There is nothing that he wouldn’t give her or do for her, no matter what the cost to him. Vesper was a beautiful child who deserved the Earth and the moon and the stars, and he was determined to make sure that she never wanted for anything.

No matter what he did in the rest of his life, that was his goal. To ensure his daughter had the best chance at life as possible.

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Roleplay Response:
Luke had picked out the perfect present for Vesper’s birthday. It was a bit over the top, he knew. A child her age hardly needed a diamond tiara, but he had seen it in the shop window and knew that it was exactly what Vesper would love. And he had never been good at resisting the things that he knew she would love.

He’d had the package gift-wrapped in her favourite colour, a bow tied neatly on the top. Only the best for his little girl. He grinned as he looked down at it, able to see her face perfectly when she opened it. She was going to adore it.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!”

Luke spun around, catching sight of the woman on the ground, sprawled like she had fallen. Immediately, he headed over, concern etched across his face.

“Are you alright?” He asked, kneeling down next to her. He could see one part of her broken shoe, but couldn’t locate the other piece, making it rather difficult to repair the thing, They weren’t particularly practical shoes, were they?

He reached out a hand to her to help her up.

“I believe your shoe might be a lost cause, unless you can see the other part,” he said, an easy smile playing on his lips. She was rather pretty, after all. “But what do you say I buy you a drink to cheer you up?”
