Application for Hogwarts School

Name: Faye Ankaa Winters

Birthday: 31 August, 1946

Hometown: Surrey, England

Magical Strength (pick one):

Magical Weakness (pick one):

Year (pick two): first year (preferably) or second year

she was a phoenix, and she will rise from the ashes.

act 1

It was his season, and Joseph was in love.

He was in love with a girl with bright eyes and a contagious laugh, and she made him blush like never before. She looked at him, laughing, before grabbing his hand and dragging him down the road, wild and free.

She was perfect, and at that moment, Joseph knew that he wanted to spend his entire life with Karen Lener.

act 2

It was her season, and Faye was in love.

She was in love with winter. The familiar warmth of hot chocolate thawed her cold heart, as she curled up in front of the roaring fireplace of their house. Her parents were not at home, again, having rushed off for an important business function. Just her and her book, protected from the dangers of the world.

Faye wished she could spend her entire life in that moment.

act 3

It was her season, and Faye was in love.

She was in love with the stars, the universe, the galaxy. The stars twinkled in the sky, looking down on them, small and insignificant, with knowing eyes. The anger in her veins vanished when she stepped through their gates, the stars looking over her with their smiles and washing over her with their hands.

Breathing out a puff of cold air, it danced after her as she sat down next to the fountain, cheeks flushed and nose red. The memories of the day came back, shredding apart the work of the stars.

"Her parents are the Winters." Rumors spread like wildfire, and by the end of the day, the entire school knew that she was the daughter of Joseph and Karen Winters. People came up to her, beaming, attempting to help her. A stark contrast from their previous attitude. She shrugged them off.

Anger bubbled in her once more. The fountain was flooded with water.

Faye promised herself, in that moment, that she would step out of her parent's shadow.

act 4

It may not be her season, but Faye was in love.

She was in love with magic. Her heart throbbed in her chest, in tune with the magic that she could feel. It sent ripples of warmth through her. Her heart bloomed. Despite people rushing and pushing past her, Faye felt peaceful. Her mother ruffled her hair affectionately while her father looked around in equal excitement.

Perhaps, Faye had fallen in love once more.

she was a phoenix, and she will blaze her own path.

House Request: i'm fine with anything!

Faye is the human equivalent of 'the fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose.' She believes that being kind is an extremely important thing, and she tries her best to help others as much as possible. However, being too kind, Faye put others' needs before her own. She won't hesitate to drop anything that she's doing at the moment to help others, and this neglects her own priorities and mental health. She falls in love too quickly and too hard.

She also has a strong thirst to prove herself, to step out of the shadow of her parents. Faye had grown up, all her life, with people telling her how she was only something because of her parents. She wanted to prove them wrong. She was her, not a husk of her parents. She wanted to be great, to be powerful, to be above all. This makes her ambitious, striving for only the best and the best only.

Faye strives for perfection. She pays attention to minute details and aims for the best of the best. This makes her someone attentive to detail, but it also causes her to repeatedly do something until it lives up to her expectations, which might not be a good for others.

Faye is also sensitive to others and their feelings, making her an empathetic but easily emotional person. She also gets easily jealous and is possessive of what is hers.

Faye has dirty blonde hair and bright green eyes. Her skin is a pale peach, so it is extremely obvious when her cheeks are flushed. She is also rather petite and short.

Option I:

The dungeons. A place eleven-year-old Evangeline had not yet travelled since her arrival at Hogwarts.

A place she really was just fine with not knowing; but it was too late. The dare had been accepted, even if it had been done in fear of being kicked out of Gryffindor, like the older girls had said she would because Gryffindors were supposed to be brave.

The air changed instantly when she hit the main corridor of the dungeons. The dampness was almost too much for her and she instinctively took a deep breath to avoid the sensation of being suffocated. There was also a sour burning smell which Evangeline assumed was from many, many Potions lessons.

Further and further she walked, her steps so slow and gentle they made no noise against the stone walls and floor. The feeling that she wasn't alone crept up her spine and raised the tiny hair on the back of her neck. Shivering, Evangeline wrapped her arms around herself. Suddenly, she missed the warmth and comfort of the Gryffindor common room. The fire was always going and it made her feel at ease.

Why had she let those girls talk her into this? She was only eleven, she didn't have to be brave. Surely the Headmistress would not kick her out of Hogwarts for not being brave.

If only she had these thoughts while being dared to search for the ghost of one Emma Birch, whom supposedly haunted the dungeons. It was not, Evangeline had learned, the place where the sixteen-year-old girl's life had ended but as she had been from the house with a snake as its mascot, it was the place her spirit had returned to. That common room was down here somewhere, she'd been told.

Something - the small blonde girl wasn't quite sure what - but something made her stop in her tracks suddenly. There was a low, dull thumping noise. Or maybe that was her heart beating so loudly she thought it was coming from outside her body.

"H-h-hello?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Remembering that she was supposed to be brave, Evangeline tried again.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

The sound of her own words bouncing back at her off the walls made her jump.

Faye stumbled over her own feet as she rushed back down to the dungeons. It was just past midnight when she realised that she had left her potions textbook in the classroom. She needed to revise for the pop quiz tomorrow, and that had worked her up in a frenzy.

Pulling her sweater around her tightly, her cheeks flushed red from the cold wind of the dungeon. Annoyance bubbled in her. Why was she so dumb, as to forget her potion textbook? Faye silently berated herself. There was also a hint of fear, simmering below the surface. It wasn't as if she hadn't heard about the rumours of Emma Birch. Shivering, Faye's eyes darted around worriedly. Was it just her fear speaking, or was it colder than before?

Two more turns and she was there, and then she could go back to her dorms and study. And far, far away from the dungeons at night. Letting out a shuddering breath, she pulled open the doors of the potion classroom. Finally. Grabbing her book from its position on her desk, she quietly shut the door once more. Now, time to sprint back.

However, the pattering of feet froze her in place.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

Letting out a relieved sigh, she spun around and met the eyes of the speaker. Faye has definitely seen her around the school before. Narrowing her eyes, she searched her memory for a face and a name that popped out to her.

"Evangeline? Right?" Faye asked. "I don't think Emma Birch is here." Raking her hand through her hair and letting out a nervous laugh, she held out her hand. "Do you want me to walk you back to your dorms?"
