Biography: (300 words minimum.)

An older sister is defined as 'a woman who assumes the role of an older sister, as by providing guidance or protection'. For 18 out of 21 years of her life, Nova Reign has filled that role of being a big sister. With two little brothers and three little sisters, the Marquis household was always full. Even with a diligent father who's paperwork seemed to come up to his neck and a loving mother who was busy with a business of her own, both parents seemed to always make time for their kids. There were days where their father would have to leave for a while due to business trips but the Marquis siblings kept each other company.

With being the oldest, Nova Reign made sure to keep her little siblings all in check like little ducklings. Sure, there was bickering over who got to watch what on their black and white television or who got the last liquorice wand but each of the siblings were always there for each other. From an early age, Nova Reign found herself fascinated with seeing different perspectives of different people. Whether it was from witnessing hand-made cultural objects to tasting divergent foods from unfamiliar countries, Nova Reign loved the curiosity of being around anything foreign. She also tended to wonder what life would be like through another’s eyes.

With how much Nova Reign loved to be expressive with seeing how the world is from another’s perspective, her parents had offered her to try out painting. It could be an easy way for her to sketch out different scenes and create a story. But, painting didn’t really go so well for Nova Reign. Stick figures were as far as her creative handwork could go. But once she was introduced to a camera, the young girl was unstoppable. With the amount of film Nova Reign went through on the family camera, her parent’s finally decided to gift the spirited girl her own camera for her 17th birthday. There wasn’t a spare moment that Nova Reign was without her camera, snapping away at life from different angles.

Her years at Hogwarts weren’t anything special, she was a proud hufflepuff who spent most of her time taking photos for the school newspaper. Once she graduated, Nova Reign had no clue what to do next. Should she go into being a photographer for The Kingsley Gazette or follow behind her father and get into the Ministry of Magic? In the end, Nova Reign decided she would spend some time traveling to other countries to experience their life styles and capture some pictures along the way. Eventually when she has decided to stop traveling for fun, Nova Reign would apply for the Ministry.

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Roleplay Response:

Bloody Merlin was she excited to get her cinnamon doughnuts. Just the thought of the hazel colored treats made Nova Reign’s mouth water. The caramel skinned woman had finally returned home after her month long trip to Australia and was craving her favorite snack. Nothing against the Australians but, Nova definitely preferred the London summer over the Australian winter anyday and she most definitely preferred her cinnamon doughnuts over anzac biscuits.

The chatter of people all around her wasn’t new either or sadly missed. Diagon Alley was always jam packed, especially during the lunch hour. Nova Reign couldn’t ever think of a time the shopping center wasn’t busy with hustling witches and wizards. Of course due to jet lag, Nova Reign slept in all the way until noon; which of course was when everyone went on break. The young woman couldn’t remember how many times she had to mutter an ‘excuse me’ or ‘pardon me’ as she made her way through the streets. There was one rule that those who walked through the streets knew and it was to never stop walking.

Guess there was one witch who didn’t remember that rule.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” A girl cried down from the stoned pavement as she seemed to be wailing over the broken shoe heel. People all around her seemed to grumble and glare as they had to make way from their path to not trample over the lady. Of course no one stopped to even help. Glancing between the donut shop just a block from her sight to the fallen girl, Nova Reign turned herself and reached a hand out for the girl to take.

“Here, lemme help you up there sweetheart. I think it would be best if we agitate the gravel before we both become trampled, yeah?” Nova smiled softly down at the other girl, blowing upwards as a few of her dark curls fell into her eyes.
