Cassie, also known as Cass by her close family and friends, was born at the beginning of July to a Muggle father, Thomas, and a witch mother, Sophia. Thomas was a teacher at a local public school while Sophia chose to be a stay-at-home mother to their only daughter. Ever since Thomas and Sophia met he knew about her growing up in the magical world, but they both decided, before their daughter was born, that they would keep it a secret until they knew she was going to be accepted to Hogwarts.

One day, after her 11th birthday, she came downstairs from her bedroom to get a drink from the kitchen. As she was making her way down the hall she could hear her parents talking about something, but she couldn't make out what they were saying exactly. Once she got closer the only words she could make out was "magic", "boarding school", and "Hogwarts." She was freaking out on the inside for so many reasons. First, why on earth were her parents even talking about magic? All of her life she just thought is was a silly thing that didn't exist except for in stories. Next, she couldn't even believe her parents were thinking about sending her away to some strange school called Hogwarts!

She couldn't stand it anymore so she finally decided to stop eavesdropping on her parents and got up the courage to go into the kitchen. Thomas and Sophia instantly stopped talking the second they noticed their daughter walk in. They looked at each other in concern because they weren't exactly sure how they were going to tell their daughter that she is in fact a witch and they are planning on sending her to a magical school.

"You're a witch, sweetie," her mother told her, "I know all of this is a lot to take in, but we feel that sending you to Hogwarts will be the best thing for you. We should have told you a long time ago, it's just we wanted to give you the chance to grow up in the Muggle world so you could have the opportunity to see how your father grew up. Now you'll be able to go to the same school as I did when I was your age. "I don't understand," Cassie said, "I can't possibly be a witch... I always thought it was a made up story told to children, not something that is real! Even if what you are telling me is true, how do you expect me to leave my only friends I've had for the last few years?"

After a long talk between her and her parents she started to feel a least a little bit of excitement about going to Hogwarts. Yes, she will miss her friends and family, but her parents assured her that she will be able to come home during the summer and Christmas holidays which helped her calm down a bit.

House Request: Hufflepuff

The first thing people will notice about Cassie will be how shy and quiet she is. She isn't good with being extremely talkative when she is around people she doesn't know well, but once she begins to feel a bit more comfortable you wont be able to get her to stop talking. Cassie hates breaking rules and isn't that much of an outdoor girl, but she loves animals and is extremely loyal to her friends.

Cassie has dark brown hair which ends a little below her shoulders and has a couple of blonde highlights throughout. Her eyes are the color of milk chocolate with little flecks of gold. She is a bit shorter than the average girl her age and has extremely tiny hands, a feature her best friend back home loves.

Option 2:
Cassie just finished talking to another student and started to make her way down the corridor to head back to her common room. All of a sudden she heard a voice yelling from behind her. Some girl she has seen before in the halls was calling for her to stop so she could be interviewed for the newspaper.

She stopped walking and turned around to face the girl. As she was watching Astrid make her way toward her she got this nervous feeling inside of her because she isn't good with talking to people she doesn't know, especially when she is put on the spot. "Hello," Cassie said to the girl, "what is the article about that you are writing for the newspaper?" When Astrid finally caught her breath she answered that it has something to do with frog legs being served for lunch.

Cassie thought about the question for a bit before forming her answer. "Personally, I don't believe serving frog legs sounds that great. Then again I am a pretty picky eater. I suppose it might be a good idea to at least give them a try for a couple of lunches just to see how people react to them," Cassie answered.
