Application for Hogwarts School

Sascha Rose Kedding

3 March 1933

Carlisle, Scotland

Second, please. If not, third.

If there was one thing that having her nose stuck in a book had taught Sascha Rose Kedding about being a well-rounded young lady (beyond wearing dressing and always looking your best, of course) it was that being so required three things: speaking a foreign language, playing a musical instrument, as well as playing a sport.

A Foreign Language:  She had always thought that she would choose a classical language to learn. Latin. Greek. They were both so alluring. However, she wanted something that some day might have some use. She had some difficulty in ultimately choosing which one she would learn, but Sascha eventually settled on Italian. For one, the Italian language has a strong foundation in Latin, so she would be learning a present day variation on a classical language. Secondly, her love for music included the realm of opera and so many great operas are written in the Italian language. Add to it that Italian is one of the most beautifully spoken languages, and you had a beautiful language for a beautiful girl.

A Musical Instrument:  There was always one thing that Sascha wished she could do, and that was sing. However, the one thing that she wished she could do was the one thing that she couldn't do period. She had spent a large amount of time studying with various teachers always with the same result. She needed to focus her musical talents somewhere else. Failing at vocal music at been a blow, but she eventually decided to try her hands at playing cello. The stringed instrument, even to this day, is bigger than she is, but it didn't make her any less determined to learn how to play, and play it well.

A Sport: It had taken her a while to settle on a language to learn. It had taken her even longer to find a musical instrument that suited her. Her sport was an easy decision though; she loved to ride horses. Some would argue with her that horseback riding wasn't a sport, but it required control, balance, stability, and coordination; not unlike the skills required to ride a broom. However, unlike the barbaric sport of Quidditch where you had to be constantly vigilant about quaffles, bludgers, and/or the snitch while remaining highly competitive, horseback riding was a very calming and relaxing.

House Request:
I'll leave that up to the hat.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice. That's what little girls are made of.

A pretty, pretty princess.

Please reply to one of the Sample Roleplays below.

"You blasted rat! Where are you?"

Green eyes peered over the top of the Cissy Sonorus' latest novel. The boy making a scene must have been searching for his lost rat, because who in their right mind would be searching for a rat if it wasn't a pet?

Sascha shuddered. A pet rat was the worse type of pet. Rats were just so ... gross.

She had only just found where she left off in the book when she heard him sneeze. Normally the Garden was so serene, so peaceful and quiet, but it seemed that today wasn't going to be one of those days. She looked up in just enough time to see Hugh wipe his nose on his sleeve.

She rolled her eyes before slamming the book shut. She got up from her lounging position on the bench, grabbed something out of her bag, and walked the eight steps over to where the boy was standing.

"Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

"Perhaps I can help you with something," she stated, holding out a handkerchief for the boy.
