Reason for Transfer:
Astrid is transferring to Hogwarts after the Ministry of Magic pulled Jeremy St Alabaster’s WiSA. Staying at Camp Loki at the time, Astrid travelled to Hogwarts and enrolled herself at the school so that she could stay close to her partner and help him through the WiSA business. Her own WiSA remained intact, but with her residence permanently rooted in Britain, the WiSA will soon be pulled from her name.

Biography:
In her own unfortunate tale, the first fact you need to know is that Astrid-Louise Chaucer (née Harrow, Adopted Chaucer) is an orphan. She has not always been this way, she was raised by a loving mother named Chelsea and a father named Mordecai but on one particular stormy night neither of them returned. Many people made passing comments throughout her life that her family was cursed with a bad luck that followed them, much like a raincloud comically would. Her uncle, Rowan Harrow, was appointed as her guardian due to the distinct lack of surviving family members.

Rowan was fair, but didn’t know how to raise a girl, 7 at the time, so she found that it was in her best interest to become independently strong. It just didn’t work out that way. Among the many taboos of her household, her uncle forbid her to discuss her parents or search for the cause of their demise. Her uncle was bitter, she was the sole owner of the families assets and wealth as he had already gambled away his own share by the time she had turned 10.

Galleons never interested Astrid, she chose to keep them locked away for the most part and lived off of a very small allowance. She provides her uncle with a similar allowance.

Astrid was a home schooled student from the age of 7, mostly because her uncle never thought to enrol her anywhere and she was already sufficient enough at basic reading and writing to make a fuss about it. She shied away and left things so that her uncle was not stressed with the sudden overwhelming burden that was her upbringing.

Astrid is a very reserved young girl, choosing to not spoil herself with her fortune and instead living a life that has caused many of her classmates to assume that she was raised by a very poor family. The girl rarely corrected them, only revealing her bloodstatus is she was directly questioned.

With the disappearance of her uncle and motivation from Eirwen Medraut, Astrid was adopted by her friend’s family (Chaucers) and started to live a new life without the oppression of her uncle. During 1939, her uncle sent her letters and eventually she received a notice claiming that he had passed away in Austria.

At 17, she will receive her full inheritance.

When she reached the applicable age, she was sent to Beauxbatons and has been there ever since. In 1938 she was promoted to Prefét and started to date Jeremy St Alabaster. Her commitment to this relationship had caused her to enrol at Hogwarts for the 1939-1940 term so that she can stay close to the boy that she is developing strong feelings for.

Although their relationship has ended temporarily, she still feels that she needs to be close by to the boy.
