Biography:
"How... tedious."
Moira always spoke under her breath. Words laced with enough spite she could brew a living-death draught. Aiden, her older (if only by a year or so) had gotten into another tiff with Jamie, another of her dimwitted brothers. being the absolute youngest in her family had only proven one thing.
That her family would be better off as muggles. If she were the only witch in her family things would be better. It would be her, smothered and adored by father. Not Jamie, not Geillis and definitely not Aiden. Moira knew that being the youngest would mean in time she would need to crush her siblings all the way to the top. To earn the biggest prize she would fight, claw and scheme her way all the way into success.
The unfortunate circumstance of her life was that she had been born last. So it was now always her to be addressed last, to be treated as if she were last in the hearts of her family. The tale had gone that one stormy night, mother had walked in on fathers newly inherited inn, stayed a few days and shortly after fell deeply and undeniably in love with Moira's father, William. A muggle of all things. Mother, as far as she was aware was what people called 'Pure Blooded', someone to be respected without needing to do anything. It had been an utter shame that she had settled for her father.
Even now, Moira could remember how superior her magic manifesting had been in comparison to her good-for-nothing snot-nosed brother, Aiden. Eloquently and without fault, she had turned a rose into a thistle. Only to brandish it as a weapon during one of the 'cowpat' pillow pranks her brothers had begun to practice. Aiden had never been as skilled and he would never match up to her intelligence.
As to be expected, her letter for Hogwarts came, in the same manner, Aiden's and Jamie's before it had. If it had not been for her sister, she would have had to go to the same second-rate school that her brothers did. Geillis had spoken against it. A smile spread across the girl's lips at the memory. She was the most bearable of her family.
But now, father had fallen ill, and school had been put on hold as the family decided what needed to be done. This was all a bother, it was all in the way of her path to success.
1952::
Moira sat. There was nothing left to do now than sit and wait with crumpled paper in her small hands. The world had made itself of paper and stained itself through with fat crocodile tears. The pain was all too real still. The emptiness of her fathers rooms a stinging play of her heartstrings.
Not even the charm of her giant rabbit could ease her sorrows. The memory of Easter had been only a temporary comfort, after all.
Father was gone, and nothing could bring him back now. A month of tears had certainly not changed anything. The last of her things packed into a trunk had not stirred his form back to life. Father was to remain buried in darkness in the yard. Forever out of sight. Especially far away now that mother summoned her down into the courtyard to prepare for the far journey away to camp.
Would her brothers even recognise her? They had come home for Christmas but Jamie had fled quicker than ever before. Hurting as much as she did. This was as much of a chance for her to run away as her brothers had treated it.

House Request: Surprise me.
Personality:
Dishonest
Moira is a Dishonest soul. Her skills lie in weaving lavish and complicated lies and tales to protect herself and her family. While never intentionally spiteful, Moira often finds herself causing trouble for her family members and relationships with her friends due to her tales.
Guarded
For eleven, Moira is incredibly emotionally mature and guarded. Being the youngest, Moira has always been in a hurry to grow up. Often acting in turn like in impurtenant child in the process. Her mannerisms often come off as snobbish and keep people away from understanding the tender, vulnerable interior of the girl. Moira guards her soft heart by acting more important than she is.
Loyal
Moira is incredibly loyal to her brothers. Despite public outcry and 'detest' for their existence, Moira often tries hard to impress her older siblings. Moira has difficulty expressing her emotions and even with the best intentions, shows up as being unwilling to co-operate. In private, Moira proclaims her siblings are destined for greatness. Anyone who would jeopardize her brother's happiness is immediately made a rival.
Emotional
Like all Duncans. Moira is prone to sudden and violent outbursts. Usually in the form of spite. Moira spills out her heart only to a select few people and due to this limitation, often finds herself emotionally overwhelmed leading to distress.
Lethargic
Moira is a slow-paced animal. Often taking longer to learn due to her lapses in focus and attention.
Appearance:
Moira stands at an average for her age and gender. Long brown-auburn hair groomed and often tied back in lavish plaits. With Hazel-grey eyes (in a similar shade to her brother, Aiden's) and lips made for pouting it is easy to tell that she is the princess of her family. All rustic charm on this girl has been washed away by the fanciful attire gifted to her by her estranged mother. Moira is easily the most related to her mother in terms of appearance.
Comfort comes second to appearance for Moira. Always so eager to impress her foes and dazzle her enemies, Moira like a peacock often wears things her family can not normally afford. It is only at home that her more relaxed garb and many hand-stitched dresses are showcased. Moira dresses in dull earthen tones on most occasions. Highlighted often in deep red fabrics and accessories.
There is a constant look on Moira's face to suggest that she has eaten something sour. Shrinking her nose in disbelief, worry and disgust are all staples to her expressive vocabulary. It is rare to catch this girl smiling genuinely.

People were funny. Their deeds often were fueled with self-ambition and the unilateral drive for one's own care. Not everyone could burden the complexities of worrying over someone else. Not actually worrying. But this boy had been worrying her. He had been worrying her in the worst of ways any nuisance could.
From clambering oafish steps to his poor choice of pet companionship. Rats were useless. This boy proving more so than the rodent.
"Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare." The boy spoke with illness. Vile in sound and appearance both. Not one aspect of princely behaviour came from his tongue. Eloquence lost as he forfeited his power over his body to the weaknesses that flowers presented.
How dare a peasant as sickly as he speak to her. Only her brothers could get away with such a tone. They were princes, and he...
"No. Unless you plan on leaving." Moira spat, her homework assignment ready to turn in at the nearest greenhouse. The garden had only happened to be the shortcut she needed. "I'm not even staring." Moira defended herself, arms crossed like a barricade across her chest.
With every hope he would move on one demand, she spoke. The sound of a whip cracking evidence in her voice. "But you are in my way."
