Name:Harley Daniels

Birthday:12th of November

Hometown:Adelaide, Australia

Bloodline:Pureblood (but there's a couple of muggles in past generations)

Magical Strength (pick one):Charms

Magical Weakness (pick one):Divination

Year (pick two):First or Second (would prefer first)

Biography:
Harley was born on the 12th of November in a small house in the outer suburbs of Adelaide, Australia.
Her family was poor. Extremely poor. Her father, David Daniels, worked in a small wand-making shop, and her mother, Natalie, stayed home with Harley's two older siblings, Sadie and Mason.
Harley was a smart kid, rebellious, a little rough, and loved nothing more than hanging out with her friends. She spent the majority of her childhood mucking around with the local neighborhood kids.
When Harley turned five, the Daniels family moved to London, because their parents wanted Sadie (who was now 11) to attend Hogwarts, as they believed it was the best school out there. Over in London, they were still relatively poor, but Harley begun to get teased for it by kids at her (muggle) primary school. This turned her into a mean, unemphatic child, who began to break school rules more often, to the horror of parents and teachers.
When Harley was 6, she displayed her first signs of magic. One morning, her sister found her floating at the top of the ceiling. From then on, Harley displayed more and more signs of magic.
Harley's a strong, powerful girl, and her magic is often similar, but she finds it hard to control, especially since she has trouble keeping her anger in check.
Her now lives with two more siblings, Liam and Ruby, who are both two years younger than her.

→ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

House Request:Slytherin

Personality:
Harley's smart, athletic, strong, tough, the life of the party, will be loyal to the end, and she never leaves an incomplete job.
But Harley's also insensitive, rude, rebellious, and if she doesn't like a rule, she'll break it. She doesn't listen to anyone but herself, and would easily kill someone without feeling any regret at all.

Appearance:
Harley's a normal height and weight for her age, but she's a little broader in the shoulders. Her skin is tanned, from the hours she spends outside, and her hair is chocolate-brown. She's got a scar running from the bottom of her left eye to her chin, and it isn't exactly pretty. Light green eyes, with dark eyelashes.
She mostly wears dark clothes, hoodies, tights, etc.

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.
You come across one of these posts on the site. Please select one & reply as your character. Remember, you can only roleplay your own character's actions, not Evangeline's or Hugh's.

Option I:

The dungeons. A place eleven-year-old Evangeline had not yet travelled since her arrival at Hogwarts.

A place she really was just fine with not knowing; but it was too late. The dare had been accepted, even if it had been done in fear of being kicked out of Gryffindor, like the older girls had said she would because Gryffindors were supposed to be brave.

The air changed instantly when she hit the main corridor of the dungeons. The dampness was almost too much for her and she instinctively took a deep breath to avoid the sensation of being suffocated. There was also a sour burning smell which Evangeline assumed was from many, many Potions lessons.

Further and further she walked, her steps so slow and gentle they made no noise against the stone walls and floor. The feeling that she wasn't alone crept up her spine and raised the tiny hair on the back of her neck. Shivering, Evangeline wrapped her arms around herself. Suddenly, she missed the warmth and comfort of the Gryffindor common room. The fire was always going and it made her feel at ease.

Why had she let those girls talk her into this? She was only eleven, she didn't have to be brave. Surely the Headmistress would not kick her out of Hogwarts for not being brave.

If only she had these thoughts while being dared to search for the ghost of one Emma Birch, whom supposedly haunted the dungeons. It was not, Evangeline had learned, the place where the sixteen-year-old girl's life had ended but as she had been from the house with a snake as its mascot, it was the place her spirit had returned to. That common room was down here somewhere, she'd been told.

Something - the small blonde girl wasn't quite sure what - but something made her stop in her tracks suddenly. There was a low, dull thumping noise. Or maybe that was her heart beating so loudly she thought it was coming from outside her body.

"H-h-hello?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Remembering that she was supposed to be brave, Evangeline tried again.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

The sound of her own words bouncing back at her off the walls made her jump.

Harley jumped down the last couple of steps, clutching the books held in the crook of her arm when she felt them beginning to slip.

She didn't normally come down here - to the dungeons. Harley was an outside girl, who couldn't stay still for long. But she had three things due tomorrow, and the common room was so loud she couldn't hear herself think.

She'd tried the library, of course, but it was raining outside, and everyone had gone there for some warmth, so it was thick with people as well. Seeing no other option, Harley had headed down to the dungeons.

Then, out of the shadows came a girl. Definitely a First Year, blonde, and very small. She looked so scared Harley thought she looked like a ghost, skin as pale as milk.
"Hello?" Is Emma Birch there?"

She asked out into the darkness of the dungeon. Harley, her trouble-making instincts kicking in, slowly walked back into the shadows. It was a prefect ambush, down here, it was too dark to see anything. Then, the girl moved, and a slice of light fell on her face. Petrified. Harley felt a little bit of guilt and hesitated. Should she do this? Feeling bad for the girl, she stepped out of the shadows, in front of the girl, and spoke in her husky, deep voice.

"No, it's me. What are you doing here?"

Head of Ravenclaw
schoolbag in hand, she leaves home in the early morning
waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile
I watch her go with a surge of that well-known sadness
and I have to sit down for a while
