Furthermore, he often if not always carries around a golden watch in his waistcoat pocket.

Despite having quite the collecting of jackets and coats, John prefers to use a single coat he have grown quite attached to over the years. Being of very durable material the fashionable dragon hide coat of his provides him with some very alluring features. Rugged and visible beaten from years use during his Aurora time, despite being well oiled and taken care of.
.

General Appearance:
John is an elderly man that even through his old age have managed to physically keep himself in a very good condition, being relatively healthy compared to many other people of his age.

John stands 1,71 meters into the air and is a broad shouldered man. His appearance shows signs of diminishing alethic features that one could only obtain through a life of building up physical prowess. While still seeming muscled to those that would inspect him further, his large body would at first sight appear as though it was the body of a fat man, from his short neck to his thick legs.

He have over the years grown very fond of life and is now a bit bigger in the stomach area than most other people. He is however, by no means obese, merely a bit large around the waist. Keep in mind muscle still hides behind the cake layers.

John have a very simplistic fashionable short haircut which he magically dyes milk chocolate brown, sporting a faint stripe or two of his silver hair he have gotten over the years (If one decided to shave him bald they would find that multiple scars streak across his scalp, very obviously derived from combat). John have bushy eyebrows that match the magically dyed color of his hair. Under the eyebrows one would find a set of kind bright blue eyes, containing a hint of wisdom and vigilance.

Under his large nose, one would find a well-trimmed and rather humungous “natural styled” moustache. On the left side of his ribcage, a large area is seen, affected by the remains of a dark art spell that he barely survived in his past. Like a lightning burn twisting arms of greyed skin spring from the raven black center where the spell hit, spreading in an approximately five-centimeter radius. He have large hands and feet, both visibly used persistently throughout the years.

Likes:
Orchestral muggle music, Frog choirs, Quidditch, Good food, Sweet justice, Alchemy, Pudding, Muggle fishing, Reading, Arithmancy. (Secretly he finds the thrill of dueling exciting, he wouldn’t admit it though)

Dislikes:
The edgy sort, Sour injustice, Animagus’, Pureblood fanatics, caramels (they stick your jaws together), Most non-human creatures, hexed/cursed objects, Muggle vehicles.

Habits/Mannerisms:
John uses a set of half spectacles for reading and often smoke cigars. It is a known fact that contrary to many of his much more practical oriented and rough ex-colleagues of the Auror department he enjoys the luxurious things in life. He is by no means a softball though: Despite his kind nature, fine manners and grandfatherly nature he is a man that knows his enemies when he sees them.

General Character Traits:
John is at heart a very kind and mannered man, that have during his later years started to enjoy the finer things in life. Through his keen mind and ability to see opportunities when they arise, he is the current CEO and founder of E.S.S.E, otherwise known as Enchanted Stone Stacking Enterprises. Through E.S.S.E, he have established a controlled income and is now seen as an easygoing and laid back man.

This is at least the image he wants people to see. Due to his danger filled past it is very easy to break this façade, John have the tendency to instantly be on his guard if something unexpected happens at times overreacting if he spots a possible threat. A form of paranoia. He enjoys academic and scholarly pursuits in his older age, while still secretly finding the heat of battle alluring.

Biography: (300 words minimum.)
John Lartius Augustus Fredfort was the name of the boy, who according to the registry of the ministry was born on 25th of March, during the year of 1886. John grew up in a pure blood family in Scandinavia, Denmark. A small community of only a couple of wizarding families who had been living outside of Copenhagen for a long time, throughout countless generations.

Having this ever-presence also meant that the Fredfort family had over the years gathered quite an extensive fortune, being of somewhat high status throughout the country, or at the very least being important according to themselves. The family lived somewhat peacefully other than the occasional drama families tend to have among themselves. After all, it was quite the large one with John being the third oldest child in a family consisting of in total four.

John went to Kostad Academy in Norway upon reaching his 11-year birthday and finished his education with surprisingly all right grades at his seventh year. Being especially skillful in Charms. After he finished the school he with the financing from his parents were able to travel to The Americas and went onto pursue a subject his father had encouraged him to study: Arithmancy. For the next three years, John studied at The Advanced Arithmancy Academy of America and through hard labor passed his exams with a passable grade, not having been the student keenest on the subject in his class for sure.

However, it was a noble pursuit as his father had told him and with a good and solid foundation of education, he traveled the world for yet another couple of years, three to be exact before finding himself at The Egyptian Centre of Curses and Counter-Curses, where he studied Defense Against the Dark Arts. A subject that had for long interested him quite a lot, soon toying with the idea of becoming a Curse Breaker.

With new found inspiration of what he would dedicate his future to, that being a Curse Breaker, he traveled to Britain to live and work. Finding it surprisingly hard to establish a proper footing and settle down after years of traveling. After some years of unease, he finally found out how he could use his potential and thereby found his true calling as he applied to become an Auror, finding the comradery and dedication of the units to be something of his liking.

He proved to be an excellent Auror and worked for MoM for years to come. After a very near death experience, John decided to retire from active duty in the Auror department at an age of fifty-seven.

For the next three years, he began to truly settle down in Birmingham, the place he had lived at since he had arrived in Britain for the first time all that time ago, but first now could truly call home.

Nevertheless, even though it might seem like the adventures of John are coming to an end, an elderly fella like himself still got much to offer to the world. Currently he lives off managing a wizarding house construction firm, reporting every now and then to the ministry to help the Aurors on cases and potentially teach new hopeful Aurors. The rest of his days he uses on having a jolly good time with his pals. He is after all a quidditch enthusiast.

But as they say: Once an Auror always an Auror.

SAMPLE ROLEPLAY

Roleplay:
You come across one of these posts on the site. Please select one & reply as your character:

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Roleplay Response:
Even though it was rare for Lartius to travel to Diagon Alley there were times where it was necessary. Obviously, the crowds bothered him quite a lot. One never knew what could hide between the masses of people, but even then, if the right precautions were taken, he had to admit he found the place quite cozy.

Exiting the Gringotts Wizarding Bank with a couple of registration letters in the inner pockets of his robes, having just registered some of the property and value his construction firm had recently gotten, he started to traverse down the street. Oh how he hated crowds he reminded himself as he pushed his way through the street as long away from the main street as possible, suddenly spotting a flash of red hair toppling forward, followed by a cry for help.

Mumbling somewhat in irritation, damning the crowds and letting off a bit of steam directed at his hatred of crowds, John mentally shrugged before approaching the woman who had fallen, extended a rugged hand towards her with a grandfatherly smile seen behind the grand moustache of his. “Ye seem to be in need of assistance, may I help, Ma’am?”
