CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character name: Corrina Buzolic

Previous and/or Current Character(s) if applicable: Lily and Serena McCormick and co

Character age: 24

Character education: Hogwarts Class of 1957 - Hufflepuff

Strength and weaknesses (details please): Corrina is extremely hard-working, but selective about it. If she’s working on a project she really cares about, she will abandon all other tasks, or at least put them on the backburner until the thing she really cares about is set. That being said she is very driven and can be counted on to get the job done.

Corrina is direct. She has no problem saying what is on her mind. If there’s a problem, you’re going to hear about it. With that in mind, she can often come across as insensitive, though it’s a problem she’s aware of and working on.

She is bold and strives to look outside of the box for creative solutions.

Physical description: Corrina prides herself in her appearance. She is always well put together, and in the latest fashions, many of her own design. A partial metemorphmagus, she changes her hair and eyes to fit her current outfit and mood. Her hair is naturally black, but she often uses her powers to switch it up to blonde or other colors. Standing at only 5’, she makes up for the height by wearing high heels and confidence.

Personality (nice, rude, funny etc. Paragraph please.): Corrina can be charming when she wants to be. Growing up she used that to her advantage to get her way. However if you cross her, she has no problem biting back. In the classroom, she can be a tough professor to misbehaving students. She can be a little too blunt at times, and the lack of a filter doesn’t help.
But she genuinely wants her students to do well even if her tactics seem unfair.

On the surface, Corrina is confident and bold. However she also carries a lot of vanity, and with that a need for recognition. She won’t show it outwardly, but she actual has a fairly fragile ego underneath the bravado.

Hopes and dreams. Why are you teaching at Hogwarts?: Corrina’s dreams are bigger than Hogwarts. Her long term plans are to build her fashion empire. But her last experience teaching at Hogwarts taught her a lot about herself. It opened her world a little, working hard in a very different way than how she works within the design universe. It helped her understand people more. And she craves that understanding and connection.

Biography (500 words minimum. There is never such a thing as too much.):
The Buzolic’s were a standard Pureblood family. Valuing things like manners, etiquette and appearance, Corrina was placed in a variety of classes and lessons that were deemed suitable for little girls. Etiquette training, ballet lessons, riding lessons, flying lessons. And Corrie excelled at much of her training. But there was one thing that she wanted to do more than anything.

Fashion.

After her very first magical knitting and sewing class, Corrina fell in love. There was something about creating things to make other people feel beautiful that kept her on that path.

Her parents would often find her in her room late at night, tearing apart her clothing and creating brand new creations. It was strange, they couldn’t deny. But as long as she kept up with her studies, they allowed her to continue to pursue what she called ‘her greatest dream.’

She was homeschooled for a few terms and then decided she wanted to try her hand with other students. Beginning her Hogwarts Education as a Third Year, she was sorted into the Hufflepuff house, though she never really got along with her Housemates. In fact, she didn’t bother with friends very much at all, not having the time or patience for it. Talented with her wand and able to put forth intense focus and concentration, she should have been a straight O student. But her focus tended to waiver when she had a project she was working on. She excelled in Transfiguration because she used it most often in her creations, and it came fairly naturally for her with her partial Metamorphmagus abilities.

In her Fourth Year, she took on her first fashion internship, which she held over the summer. While she learned a lot from it, she clashed a bit with the lax work environment and respectively bowed out after one summer. The summer of her Fifth Year, she began interning at De La Roche Fashions and working under her idol Margaux Hartley. She continued working with her as an intern through her sixth year and was then signed on as a Design Assistant.

1958 brought with it a few major changes. The first was a self-induced estrangement from her parents. They were disappointed in her for focusing on a career instead of a husband. Second, Margaux returned from her teaching position at Hogwarts and assigned Corrina to head a Hogsmeade Branch project. Corrie moved to Hogsmeade to work on the Branch, but money was tight.

A teaching position at Hogwarts caught her eye. It was nearby. It was her favorite subject. She could do both. She was Corrina Rey Buzolic. She could do anything.

And she did everything and more.. In the summer of 1959, Corrina opened Bumblebee, her very own boutique. She left De La Roche Fashions and Hogwarts to pursue her own company. It was a very smooth start. She had a well established client base, reliable workers, and a thousand new ideas,

But with business booming at Bumblebee, it was time to start looking into expanding. With that in mind, Corrina placed some of her best workers in charge of Bumblebee, and set off to find another job. She needed more resources and was willing to work hard for her expansion.

SAMPLE ROLEPLAY
(Please respond to to this in third person past tense. Do not write the other characters' reactions. Only your own.)

It was the largest office in Hogwarts and, perhaps to students and newcomers, the most intimidating. The shelves were filled with various odds and ends, with a place of honor for the Sorting Hat, and the walls held all the portraits of past Headmasters and Headmistresses.

In the middle of the room sat a large desk. Everything was in order, for the current occupant had always despised a messy desk. It was the sign of a messy mind, and she had always favored neatness.

A clock sat on the desk, which currently showed the time to be 2:05. The meeting was supposed to begin at 2:00 precisely.

Along with order, Anneka valued punctuality. She was a very busy woman these days. Even during the summer, she had a number of matters to attend to. Interviewing and hiring staff was only of those matters. The newest potential member of her staff wasn't making a good impression.

She paced the room, black heels clicking against the stone floor. When the door finally opened, Anneka turned, her expression reminiscent of a Russian winter. "You are late."

Explain yourself was what her face said.

Roleplay Response:

Someone was going to get fired.

She wasn’t sure who that would be just yet, but someone misplaced the paperwork on her desk, and all she knew for certain was that it wasn’t her. Corrina Rey Buzolic didn’t misplace things. An assistant was what she really needed. She couldn’t afford one just yet, but as soon as she could her life would be so much easier.

If she’d had an assistant, she wouldn’t have gotten held up at the post office and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5?! Minutes late for her interview. Her heels clacked satisfyingly against the stone and she brushed a few stray hairs hack away from her face. Almost there, almost there.

A hand mirror levitated in front of her face and she checked her reflection as she walked, pressing a bit of red lipstick to her lips and pocketing the tube. Finally she made it Anneka’s office. An impatient hand waved the now-bothersome mirror away and pushed her way into the office.

“Hello, Headmistress!” she smiled, striding confidently forward and holding her hand out, “Terribly sorry about that. Your time is too valuable for excuses, so why don’t we get right to my lesson plans? I think it’s going to be a really great year.”

SHOPKEEPER PERMIT
You must have applied as an Elsewhere character before completing this permit.

Shop name: Bumblebee Boutique
Shop Type: Clothing/Accessory Boutique and tailor
Location: Hogsmeade
Subforum? Yes!

Short Description (50 words max): Bright and eye-catching, the Bumblebee Boutique draws you in like bees to flora. The latest one-of-a kind fashions await you just beyond the doors! Let yourself be lured!
Long Description (200 words min):

The Bumblee Boutique was founded in the summer of 1959.

It was always Corrina Buzolic’s dream to own her own shop. Her original vision for her shop was warped by her year of teaching at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A part of the shop would cater to the students of Hogwarts. Hogsmeade was, after all, their town at heart, after all.

On the outside, the building is bright but purposeful. Every color used seemed to have a way of complementing the next. Mannequins waved from the windows, all sporting the very latest designs.

The inside was just as colorful as the outside, and very well lit. The clothes were arranged on racks by style and color and, at the back of the room, a miniature version of a classroom: workstations, sketch pads, fabric and supplies. At the other end of the room, a miniature runway was set up with bright lights and mirrors for anyone who wanted to strut their latest purchase.

The Bumblebee Boutique was the place to go for any occasion. Before leaving the store, you would get complementary tailoring services so that the fit is to exactly your size. Also offered are sewing and design lessons for a small fee.

What purpose will this shop serve other than selling things and being the home of your character? Why would people want to RP there just for fun?

The Bumblebee Boutique caters to all types of characters. From the uppity socialite or the casual Hogwarts student, there is something for everyone. Special event or just a wardrobe update, the Bumblebee Boutique has you covered. It’s located in Hogsmeade which would be a good commute for students.

It also offers lessons and job opportunity and therefore, extra role-play opportunities.

Potentially good to throw occasional pop up fashion shows, or help cater to larger events.

Option 2:

That rat of his was in for it now.

The gray little rascal had disappeared from his clutches at breakfast. Again.

Before Hugh even knew what was happening, Merlin had shot across the floor, somehow managing to avoid all the feet walking across the hall and had escaped through the open doors.

Which meant that Hugh was now stomping through rows of flowers and other various flora, searching for the small creature. It was like the rat knew Hugh was allergic to most flowers. Merlin always chose to run to the gardens whenever he got away from Hugh. It was as if the rat did not want to have him for an owner.

Hugh had named his pet Merlin because he had hoped the powerful name would give the rat more incentive to be more than a rat. Not that he expected Merlin to change into a wizard or anything, but rats were just so...useless, for the most part. With a name like Merlin, Hugh thought it might give the rat purpose.

The only purpose Merlin seemed to have was getting away from Hugh as often as possible.

As the fifth year trudged into the second row of flowers, not taking much care to avoid trampling the first row, he felt the first sneeze building up pressure in his nose and behind his eyes.

"You blasted rat! Where are you?"

He pulled apart a section of bright red flowers; he didn't know what they were called because he despised flowers, and ducked his head low to peer into the depths of the flowerbed. It was moving closer in proximity to the flowers that finally did it. Hugh took in three great breaths and then let out an almighty sneeze. It was strong enough to disturb some of the dirt on the ground before him.

Groaning, he stood up again and wiped his nose on his sleeve. It was as he was turning his head, his nose running up and down his arm, that movement in his peripheral vision caught his attention. Normally one who preferred to put his best face forward, Hugh was a bit embarrassed to be caught wiping his runny nose on his robes.

Nevertheless, Hugh put on his best haughty voice. albeit a bit thickly with his plugged nose and said, "Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare.”

Corrie breezed into the Gardens with a smile on her face, a bag full of fabric swatches and a sketchbook tucked under her arm. She enjoyed the school’s garden not because it was peaceful and serene, though it certainly was, especially on a beautiful day like this one. But no. She mostly liked it because of all of the vibrant color. And the flowers. They gave her such inspiration that she could hardly wait to find the perfect spot to get to work in.

Her very favorite spot, however, was occupied. It was fine, really. She could work just about anyway. And was pretty gifted in tuning distractions out. This particular distraction, however, came in the form of a boy with a serious nasal issue. He was producing terrible noises that she just couldn’t tune out.

“Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare.”

“Excuse me?” Corrina scoffed. What a rude one she’d stumbled onto. “You wish I was staring at you. Only that shade of gross doesn’t look good on anyone.”

For a moment she busied herself with the bag, finally producing a silk scarf square. “Here,” she held it out in his direction, pinching the fabric with her thumb and forefinger as if it had already been defiled, “Clean yourself up, will you?” The sketchbook in her arm as slid onto the garden wall. “Oh, and I definitely won’t be needing that back.”

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:
Corrie sat in the grass, taking advantage of the beautiful day. But she wasn’t spending the day in the air. No. Her feet, and butt, were stuck on the ground surrounded by scraps of colorful fabric. She’d been working on her muggle sewing abilities because she figured it would give her a leg up on designers who thought they were too cool to use muggle instruments.

What a bunch of amateurs.

She was working on a particular difficult pocket when the sound of someone approaching caught a fraction of her attention. But she didn’t look up. Not yet.

"...Do you want to play?"

“Just a moment,” she held one finger in the air, clenching the needle in between her teeth as she squinted down at the fabric. A quick bite of the thread and it was free. Smiling to herself, she held up the bright green smock with the navy blue pocket by the belly button.

It was beautiful.

“Now what did you want?” she glanced up at the girl, “To play? Sure!” her eyes lingered on the smock for a moment and then she offered the girl a dazzling smile, “Ya’know… Green would look lovely with your skintone.”
