Application for Hogwarts School

→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.
Name: Sarah Lambton

Birthday: January 14, 1958

Hometown: Bournmoor, England

Bloodline: Halfblood

Magical Strength (pick one): Charms

Magical Weakness (pick one): Transfiguration

Year (pick two): 6th, 5th

Biography:

25th December 1965

Sarah sat on the floor next to the Christmas tree looking happily around at her family and the big pile of presents under the tree.

As they had done every Christmas for as long as she could remember, they were gathered her grandparents' house. It was a tradition in the Leighton family. Sarah loved being able to spend the holiday with all of her cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Her mother, Anastasia, was sitting on a sofa between Aunt Elizabeth and Aunt Catherine, while her father, William, appeared to be in deep conversation with Uncle Robert. Her siblings were spread out as well. Meghan was arguing with Edward over who was going to hand out the presents, and Victoria was playing with Alexander. Richard had only been born earlier that year, so he was sleeping as babies tended to do.

Sarah was content to sit by herself. She'd always been a quiet, timid girl who didn't need the constant attention from others. She often played alone and wrote in her diary. Sometimes she liked to draw pictures of dresses she would like to wear.

Like the majority of family members, she loved clothes and fashion, especially anything with lace.

Maybe she'd get something nice for a present. Sarah thought she'd mentioned it to her mother. Unlike Meghan, who demanded what she wanted, she preferred to ask and wait. She was often the balance in the family, the peacemaker - even at seven years old.

Between the two oldest girls, it was Sarah who took after their mother in personality. In looks, they both did. They had the same blonde hair, a similar build, and closely matching greenish-blue eyes. Victoria appeared to be taking after them as well.

She looked up eagerly as her grandmother told Edward and Meghan to stop arguing over the presents and pass them out. Sarah called Victoria over, so she could help her younger sister with opening her gifts. And together they waited.

Sarah felt content and happy. She thought she had the best family in the world and was the luckiest seven year old that ever was.

Option 2:

"I, well, I guess it would be alright."

How in the world did she end up being interviewed for the paper?

Sarah fidgeted with the strap of her book bag. It was probably because she was too nice to have kept walking. It was rude to walk away, pretending not to hear someone. Her sister would have done it, had she felt like it, but Sarah couldn't be that way.

"I don't fancy them myself, but others might. If you don't want them, no one would make you eat them. Is that all you need? I don't want to be late to Charms. That's where I was heading just now."

She really hoped Astrid wouldn't ask her name and would let her remain anonymous. Sarah didn't want her name in the paper and wanted to make it to class on time.
