Biography: (100 words minimum.)
The first son, but the second child, Max was born to Alex and Iz on a cold spring day in Hogsmeade as the snow was still thawing on the trees. He was a quiet baby, and rather shy at first in those early years, but that was an affliction that he grew out of rather quickly.

Unlike his sister, Elly (or Eleanor, rather, when the two of them are butting heads and calling one another by their full names), while Max enjoyed the occasional deep dive into a pile of books, his tastes ran more towards taking in the world, and exploring Hogsmeade with his trusted companion by his side.

Though given the size of Bear, his Saint Bernese, it was usually a pain to reign in the massive mountain of fur. If anything, he was just pulled along for the ride, especially when the pup got a little too rambunctious.

Roleplay:
Reply as your character to the following:

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trudged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:

It was safe to say that Max was - without a doubt - bored out of his mind.

As the youngest in his group of friends, he had been left behind in Hogsmeade while they were away at Hogwarts until winter break. Sure, he could have found some younger kids to play with, but in most cases that was too much energy to waste.

(Though he held that piece of information deep inside of himself, in the event that his mother might catch wind of it, since she had a habit of comparing him to his father when he got like that. Which, in all honesty, probably wasn't that far from the truth on most days.)

Currently he had found himself on a bench in the middle of the park, nose deep in some book that he had plucked out of his parent's conjoined home office, and was absently paging through it when a sharp bark tore his attention away from the book. His head jerked up a little, before falling on the girl in front of him, and cool blue-grey eyes assessed her.

"...Do you want to play?"

"I could. But it depends on the game," Max said slowly, mentally saving his place in the book for later, and snapping it shut before setting it in his lap. He pulled his legs up in front of him on the bench and crossed them beneath him, before leaning forward to rest his chin on the palm of his hand. "What game did you have in mind?"

I've been here so long. But was originally pulled here by another member back in 2011.
