Biography: (300 words minimum.)
Mine.

He clasped his hand on his twin’s shoulder, the sudden movement cutting off the flow of conversation. There was a toothy smile on his lips, but his eyes were steely as he stared past his twin, at the girl who was suddenly too close.

He knew what such a proximity meant; it meant attraction and flirtation. He wasn’t going to let that happen.

Rien had been repeatedly adopted separately from him for almost three years too long, and vice versa. He wasn’t going to let anything or anyone stand between him and his twin ever again. Especially after Papà and Mamma’s deaths.

(It would always be him and Rien against the world.)

Back off.

She looked startled, and... conflicted.

There’s a leaf in her hair.

She looked like she wanted to smile back, so her mouth did – but her eyes looked hesitant. She must have gotten the message from the look in his eyes.

The leaf in her hair was brown. It blended well with her hair that contrasted her pale skin. Like a tree.

She looked like a tree.

His smile widened into a grin, his eyes softening in amusement, crinkling at the corners, and his shoulders shook from silent laughter. He squeezed Rien’s shoulder, indicating him to pay attention.

Arin looked at Rien and moved his hand to his twin’s hair, running two fingers through a few strands while making a fluid, dance-like movement with his fingers. He didn’t stop touching him as he moved your fingers down to his arm, only touching with his fingertips, feather-light. He brushed his fingers up his twin’s arm, raising it gradually until it was at a right angle, and rested the back of his hand against his twin’s palm. He spread his fingers wide and wiggled them, still grinning.

‘In her hair, a leaf is there. She looks like a tree.’

He reckoned he should be a poet or something.

He glanced back at the girl, who looked more confused than ever, and tossed her a toothy grin, trying to put her at ease.

Her shoulders relaxed, and she returned his smile.

He kept one hand on Rien’s shoulder as they and the girl continued conversing, and signed the girl’s words to Rien with his other hand.

The leaf was still in her hair, unnoticed.

*ooc: The girl is a random NPC.

Option Two -
The snow had been falling steadily all morning and it didn't look like it was going to stop any time soon. Joshua Campbell scrunched his face up in a frown as he lifted his gaze to look to the sky. Snow. It really was quite a bother.

And it certainly didn't make it better that Diagon Alley seemed to be getting more and more crowded. Joshua sighed and pointed his wand at the large box that was currently placed on the doorstep of his shop. He had to get going. He had an order to deliver.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" The elderly man muttered and watched the box hover in the air for a moment. Honestly, did St. Mungo's really need that much tinsel? And with glitter of all things? He sighed again. If it hadn't been for the rather convincing stamp on the order, he would have been likely to believe it had been a prank by one of those orphaned rascals living up there.

Oh well, there was no point in waiting. Joshua deftly stirred the box down the doorstep and out onto the street, carefully levitating it above the heads of the crowd.

"Coming through! Coming through!" His voice sounded over the chatter of the crowd. "Keep out! Move ahead! Go on!" This was going way too slow. People were in the way and walking like they had all day! He huffed. Luckily the road was down hill.

"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!" Joshua let out a loud shout as his feet suddenly slipped in the snow and sent him, the box, and several long strands of tinsel tumbling into the person who had been walking in front of him.

"For Merlin's sake!" Joshua muttered angrily as he hurried to his feet again, red and gold tinsel now decorating his black coat. "I am so sorry! This blasted snow!" He looked apologetic at the person he had crashed into.

Roleplay Response:
The Lord’s birthday was coming soon.

It would be so very different without Mamma and Papà. But Arin was determined not to let that stop him and Rien from celebrating His birthday.

He looked over at his twin, squeezing his arm. His free hand pointed out something shiny in the distance.

Christmas lights.

He pointed out each and every one of them, blue eyes twinkling. He flashed Rien a toothy, wondrous grin.

‘So many!’

An Englishman was shouting something in English. He ignored it. It was probably something unimportant.

He squeezed Rien’s arm again, grinning. An owl was perched on a man’s shoulder, like a pet.

He looked at his twin, and –

"--- arrrgh!"

Something – no, many heavy somethings bumped into him from behind, and their weight made his legs buckle. His eyes widened and his mouth opened in a soundless yelp as he felt to his knees – to his chest – on his face on the snow-covered ground.

His knees hurt and he inhaled some snow, but Rien!

He lifted himself up to an elbow, his other hand still on Rien’s arm. He looked his brother over, blue eyes wide and sweeping up and down his twin’s body, checking him for any injuries.

Once he was sure Rien was alright, he pushed himself to his knees and glared over his shoulder at the man at fault.

"I am so sorry! This blasted snow!"

Right. Blame the snow. What, hadn’t he adapted enough to this force of nature? Had to run into them and possibly concuss his brother?

He glanced at Rien, raising his brows and moving the hand still on his arm to his head, fingers trailing softly up Rien’s arm, shoulder, neck, cheek, up to his temple, where his index finger tapped twice, lightly. He glanced towards the man, then back at Rien, brows rising again. He rolled his eyes and shook his head.

‘An idiot, this man.’

He trailed his hand down to Rien’s hand, palm flat against palm, and tapped his fingertips lightly, and slid his hand off, letting it fall to the snowy ground. He smirked at his twin.

‘A clumsy one too.’

He looked around, at the decorations, strewn all over. He looked at the fallen box. He looked at the glitter.

The glitter was shining colours under the sunlight.

The tinsel was so furry. Like big caterpillars. But glittery.

The box was dusted with snow.

The glitter was so shiny.

The tinsel looked like something a small, rich child would wear around their neck.

Arin glanced back at Rien. His brows were drawn together in a frown, and the left-side corner of his lip was curled up in a sneer.

He grasped Rien’s hand, interlocking their fingers, and tugged, gently.

‘Let’s go. It’s not worth our time.’
