Biography: (300 words minimum.)
A small girl, probably about the age of two, stood in front of two graves, tombstones reading, 'Teresa Calin, loved wife and mother' the other reading, 'Alfred Calin, remembered father'. The little girl's grasp tightened on an old man's hand, speaking the gibberish of a two-year-old child to him. Of course the old man would be crying. "Ivory, it'll be okay..." An old woman was sobbing on the old man's shoulder. Only a few months later that life was lost close to the little girl's third birthday, on the 30th of August. Calin's life hadn't been the greatest. After her grandmother's death, her grandfather let her stay at Salem for three years. But after her third year at the institute, Calin found herself faced with a question from her loving grandfather.

"Do you think we could move to England before your fourth year?" he asked one day at dinner. "Of course, but why?" That's the question she had been wondering for quite a while. Completing her education at Hogwarts as a Hufflepuff, Ivory's grandfather was on death's bed. He died whilst asleep one night. Written in her grandfather's will was that she would inherit his Diagon Alley shop. An antique shop is what it was, but it would need some major renovations (sadly). By the time she was twenty-seven, Ivory was almost done, making enough money to survive off of it. She didn't want to touch her grandfather's gold in Gringotts.

If one were to come across her now, she would be called a cold, enclosed woman who didn't want anything to do with the world. She, at first glance, would seem to be very attatched to her shop. The reason for this is that she had lost the closest people to her at the worst times.

Option Two -
The snow had been falling steadily all morning and it didn't look like it was going to stop any time soon. Joshua Campbell scrunched his face up in a frown as he lifted his gaze to look to the sky. Snow. It really was quite a bother.

And it certainly didn't make it better that Diagon Alley seemed to be getting more and more crowded. Joshua sighed and pointed his wand at the large box that was currently placed on the doorstep of his shop. He had to get going. He had an order to deliver.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" The elderly man muttered and watched the box hover in the air for a moment. Honestly, did St. Mungo's really need that much tinsel? And with glitter of all things? He sighed again. If it hadn't been for the rather convincing stamp on the order, he would have been likely to believe it had been a prank by one of those orphaned rascals living up there.

Oh well, there was no point in waiting. Joshua deftly stirred the box down the doorstep and out onto the street, carefully levitating it above the heads of the crowd.

"Coming through! Coming through!" His voice sounded over the chatter of the crowd. "Keep out! Move ahead! Go on!" This was going way too slow. People were in the way and walking like they had all day! He huffed. Luckily the road was down hill.

"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!" Joshua let out a loud shout as his feet suddenly slipped in the snow and sent him, the box, and several long strands of tinsel tumbling into the person who had been walking in front of him.

"For Merlin's sake!" Joshua muttered angrily as he hurried to his feet again, red and gold tinsel now decorating his black coat. "I am so sorry! This blasted snow!" He looked apologetic at the person he had crashed into.

Roleplay Response:
A dark-haired woman was looking at the appearance of her shop, raising an eyebrow as to why it looked odd today. Ah...the first snowfall! How lovely. She looked up to the sky, but didn't smile. She put up her red cloak's hood and was about to head inside to her shop to call it a day.

Hearing a voice, Ivory's attention was caught. "Coming through! Coming through!" She blinked at the man's loud voice and how no one had made room for the delivery man to make his way to... Her thoughts were disturbed when...

"Coming through!" The voice seemed closer this time. She looked up, only to see silvery strand of...tinsel on her and the man. "Sorry! This blasted snow!" said the man as an attempt to apologize. She shook her head, taking some of the strands of tinsel off of her, throwing it back at him in the same manner. "Watch where you're going!" yelled Ivory at the man. This was a disgrace! Even delivery men who are in a rush do these things! She didn't bother helping him with anything of the sort before walking away, to her shop angrily.
