"Order and structure keeps a calm mind. Chaos, and dismay hinders it."
       -a Quote From Father

The O'Connors are a wealthy pureblood family that had all made their income through government, or law enforcement for several generations. Unlike most of their kind, they never fully held the belief of pureblood supremacy, but most still felt that muggles had no place in the family's tree, extending to even being skeptical of certain halfbloods. These believes were expected to be instilled in every descendant, and Thomas was no exception. The youngest of Beth, and Harrison's five children, his parents had always told him to be wary of muggles, and muggleborns just as they did for the others. If it wasn't for one of his brothers who saw through this thought process, Thomas would've been a firm believer in such prejudice.

In his childhood, Thomas found very little need to associate with other children with his family being large enough to have plenty of cousins to interact with. They would all be home schooled at O'Connor Estate together by his grandmother before receiving their letters to attend Hogwarts, which was an event that scared them all into anxious messes. It is a common belief in the O'Connor family that those not sorted into Ravenclaw house were doomed to disappoint; examples being their homosexual uncle, Anlon, being sorted into Slytherin; and Thomas' muggle marrying brother, Remus, being sorted into Gryffindor (both forced to be cut off, and disowned by his grandfather, Declan, during his time as the family's patriarch). He couldn't help but feel fortunate that when the time finally arrived, Ravenclaw was where he was sorted.

Thomas lived his time at Hogwarts solely for the purpose of not being a disappointment to his family, mainly his father. Though he wasn't top in his class, he made sure that he was far from just being an average student. Even when it came down to Transfigurations, his weakest subject, Thomas stayed diligent in his studies, and always practiced when he could.

Around his 3rd year, he started to form the opinion that his family's prejudice were baseless, and as powerful as they were, he felt it irresponsible. The revelation to become a policymaker, someone who can create, and safeguard the law his family held so dear, came soon after. To them, Thomas sought this path to get better footing for the family, when in fact his ambition was solely on keeping his blood badge supporting relatives in check since he'd never become the family's patriarch.

Option Two -
The snow had been falling steadily all morning and it didn't look like it was going to stop any time soon. Joshua Campbell scrunched his face up in a frown as he lifted his gaze to look to the sky. Snow. It really was quite a bother.

And it certainly didn't make it better that Diagon Alley seemed to be getting more and more crowded. Joshua sighed and pointed his wand at the large box that was currently placed on the doorstep of his shop. He had to get going. He had an order to deliver.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" The elderly man muttered and watched the box hover in the air for a moment. Honestly, did St. Mungo's really need that much tinsel? And with glitter of all things? He sighed again. If it hadn't been for the rather convincing stamp on the order, he would have been likely to believe it had been a prank by one of those orphaned rascals living up there.

Oh well, there was no point in waiting. Joshua deftly stirred the box down the doorstep and out onto the street, carefully levitating it above the heads of the crowd.

"Coming through! Coming through!" His voice sounded over the chatter of the crowd. "Keep out! Move ahead! Go on!" This was going way too slow. People were in the way and walking like they had all day! He huffed. Luckily the road was down hill.

"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!" Joshua let out a loud shout as his feet suddenly slipped in the snow and sent him, the box, and several long strands of tinsel tumbling into the person who had been walking in front of him.

"For Merlin's sake!" Joshua muttered angrily as he hurried to his feet again, red and gold tinsel now decorating his black coat. "I am so sorry! This blasted snow!" He looked apologetic at the person he had crashed into.

Roleplay Response:
Nothing else could make Thomas feel as vibrant as he was when he was a child quite like snow could. Happy memories of his family in a simpler time would always flood his mind upon seeing the first snowflake fall. It was one of nature's own decorations, which he could always heavily appreciate, even when the snow got heavy itself and became blizzards. The complexity of its beauty was enough to have Thomas stop in his tracks to appreciate it. He was on his way to grab a quick bite to eat at the bakery, heard an elderly man move through the crowd behind, and rather curtly at that.

Thinking the man was just being rude, and couldn't wait a moment so he could take a small break from walking (albeit he was standing in the middle of the sidewalk), Thomas ignored his move ahead's, and coming through's until one of them led to a scream halfway through. Annoyed, the young man turned to see the screamer, finding instant relief that he hadn't said anything before he spotted him. Had he, Thomas was sure to say something he'd regret later considering that the old coot was now on the floor.

Just as the snow had fallen into his hair, so did a bunch of tinsel. The site was queer, but funny at the same time. So when the man wanted to give his apologies to Thomas, he instantly dismissed them, "It's alright, Mr.. I was the one taking his sweet time getting by. I should apologize for being in your way." A hand extended out to the fallen senior wizard, "Any chance you need help with that, Mr.? I've got nothing better to do so I don't mind."
