Application for Hogwarts School

→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.

Name: Pilar Reina

Birthday: April 27, 1939

Hometown: Oia, Greece

Bloodline: Pureblood

Magical Strength (pick one): Charms

Magical Weakness (pick one): Conjuring & Summoning

Year (pick two): 4th (first), 5th (second)

Biography:
"No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path." Was a quote she had heard since birth. She wasn't sure who said it first, but it was something her father had told her almost every day she could remember.

Ever since she was young, Pilar never stayed in one place for too long. That's what happened when your father worked for the ministry. Or against it at least... She didn't really know what her father did, but she did know it involved the government. Something she did know was that whatever he did brought in a lot of money for the family, on top of the generational wealth they had already.

She never wanted for anything. All she had to do was give a puppy dog face and her daddy gave her anything. She was the oldest girl in her family, third eldest in total. Her older brothers followed in her fathers footsteps.. Something she learned from a young age she wasn't allowed to do.

Her first school had been in Greece, the name she couldn't really recall. Forgetting things that weren't important to her in the moment was something she did best. It wasn't really a magic school, cause she wasn't allowed to use magic there. It taught her the premise and the history of it though.

Beauxbatons was the school she started at when she was eleven. A real school of magic, or that's what she liked to call it at least. Most of the girls there were like her. Prominent families, raised to be young women. She fit in for the most part, but she didn't have the drive to make a home. She had the drive to start business and be an entrepreneur.

Finally her dad had accepted a job in London, England. She didn't know how she felt about transferring schools, but she wasn't against it. She did it multiple times since she was young. The only thing she hoped that it was an atmosphere she could thrive in.

House Request: Slytherin

Personality:
Quick witted and cunning, she has a knack for causing trouble within her peers. She loves anything involving herself. It's the one way to distract her from a task.. Have her talk about herself. If you can break her out of her shell though, she would supply an endless amount of fun to last a lifetime.

Appearance:
Brown straight hair, tan skin, deep brown eyes.. She's sultry and charismatic. Her voice moves like melted chocolate. She's 5'6" and still growing. Her hair reaches halfway down her back.

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.
You come across one of these posts on the site. Please select one & reply as your character. Remember, you can only roleplay your own character's actions, not Evangeline's or Hugh's.

Option I:

The dungeons. A place eleven-year-old Evangeline had not yet travelled since her arrival at Hogwarts.

A place she really was just fine with not knowing; but it was too late. The dare had been accepted, even if it had been done in fear of being kicked out of Gryffindor, like the older girls had said she would because Gryffindors were supposed to be brave.

The air changed instantly when she hit the main corridor of the dungeons. The dampness was almost too much for her and she instinctively took a deep breath to avoid the sensation of being suffocated. There was also a sour burning smell which Evangeline assumed was from many, many Potions lessons.

Further and further she walked, her steps so slow and gentle they made no noise against the stone walls and floor. The feeling that she wasn't alone crept up her spine and raised the tiny hair on the back of her neck. Shivering, Evangeline wrapped her arms around herself. Suddenly, she missed the warmth and comfort of the Gryffindor common room. The fire was always going and it made her feel at ease.

Why had she let those girls talk her into this? She was only eleven, she didn't have to be brave. Surely the Headmistress would not kick her out of Hogwarts for not being brave.

If only she had these thoughts while being dared to search for the ghost of one Emma Birch, whom supposedly haunted the dungeons. It was not, Evangeline had learned, the place where the sixteen-year-old girl's life had ended but as she had been from the house with a snake as its mascot, it was the place her spirit had returned to. That common room was down here somewhere, she'd been told.

Something - the small blonde girl wasn't quite sure what - but something made her stop in her tracks suddenly. There was a low, dull thumping noise. Or maybe that was her heart beating so loudly she thought it was coming from outside her body.

"H-h-hello?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Remembering that she was supposed to be brave, Evangeline tried again.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

The sound of her own words bouncing back at her off the walls made her jump.

Reply:

Wondering around the school was some sort of hobby she had developed. The dungeons were yet to be explored fully. Of course she had been down there, but only to certain spots. She took out her note pad in order to cross the dungeons off the list of explored places when she heard a noise.

"H-h-hello?"

She paused for a second noticing that it wasn't just a noise. It was a voice. Somebody was speaking, instantly sending a shiver up her spine. Goose bumps spread across her arms. Her heart sped up. She wasn't sure why this reaction happened, but it could have been because of the sheer creepiness of the place. Creepy places didn't bother her much, but most of the time they didn't come with voices.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

That was a confusing question, Pilar didn't know anyone by the name Emma. She didn't really know many people at this blasted school, but definitely no one named Emma. The voice sounded a little less creepy though, more scared, more like a student.

Placing herself against the wall she hoped that the scared girl would just pass by her without noticing she was there. She didn't really want to scare the girl, but she also didn't want to talk. It was a hopeless dilemma for sure, but that didn't mean she knew that. She just hoped that her all black garb would produce enough camouflage for the girl to pass without her being noticed.
