Biography: Allen and Angelica (Williams) Kincard resided with their son, Benjamin Elliot in a farm house in the Grindstone Creek Watershed portion of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.  Allen had inherited the family’s peach tree preserve from his parents, George and Lucy Kincard, when they retired from the agriculture business.

The summer before Benjamin had gone of to Kindergarten, the Kincard’s welcomed not one, not two, but three bundles of joy.  Delivered via c-section at 32 weeks, the identical triplets were born.  Abbigail arrived at 11:11 AM, followed by April at 11:13 AM and Eleonor at 11:17 AM.  Life would forever change for the Kincard family that day, in more ways then one.

Growing up, the girls shared strong bound, as most triplets do.  However, they shared something more than they had ever realized.  Something that they wouldn’t understand until their 11th birthday, when a Professor from the Salem Institute for Young Witches and Wizards showed up at the door with acceptance letters for all three of the girls.

At first, they all thought that it was some sort of joke, but as the Professor when on, it would explain some of the strange things that happened when the girls were around.  The girls were only 11 though, and the thought of sending them nine hours away to attend a school of magic was a little overwhelming.  Allen and Angelica decided to hold off on the girls’ wizarding education, even just a few years.

Grandpa Henry, Angelica’s father, had been irate when he had learned that they girls had magical powers and they would not be going to Salem.  He and their parents had stayed up late into the night fighting about it, but to no avail.  The girl’s would still not be going to Salem.

Every year at the girls’ birthday party, Grandpa Henry brought up (behind closed doors of course) the idea of sending the girls to Salem.  No one understood why grandpa wouldn’t come off of it, and when questioned about it he said that it would be a “waste of inner talent.”

Finally, after the girl’s had their 14th birthday, Allen and Angelica get the girls the option of going to Salem if they wanted.  However, if one of the girls went they all had to go – it was all or nothing.

At first, Abbigail and April had been apprehensive.  Of the three, Abbigail had the closest relationship with their brother, and she didn’t find it fair that they would be leaving him behind his last year of secondary school.  “He’ll be going to university soon,” she whined.  “Then he’ll forget about us and everything!”

April just didn’t want to go period.  She was happy with where they were, with what they were doing.  She didn’t want to leave her friends and family.

It was Eleonor who wanted to go to Salem.  “We don’t want our lives to be filled with ‘what ifs.’”  Once Ellie had convinced Abbi to come with her, it was only a matter of time before they convinced April to come too.

The triplets would stick together… they always did.
