Sorry, my math impaired brain got the best of me. Talk about embarrassing.

→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.

Name: Lecia Dorset

Birthday: december 7, 1937

Hometown: Gwynedd

Bloodline: Pureblood

Magical Strength (pick one): charms

Magical Weakness (pick one): divination

Year (pick two): third / fourth

Biography:

"But I swear mom, it really wasn't that dangerous", the thirteen year old said but quickly rephrased her statement after receiving what could only be described as a death glare from her mother, " what I meant was that, both Jordan and I knew that the other edge was not that far away...I just didn't jump hard enough."

"Yes well, you and that brat are lucky that Mr. Varsay happened to be fishing and that he scooped you out of the water!", her mom spat back in a concerned/angry tone while trying to fit her broken arm in a sling, "do you realize that you could've cracked your head open on that stone? This time it was your arm, what will it be next Lecia, a leg? An eye?" Lecia winced at those words, she knew how hard it was for her mom to be alone most of the time, what with her sister off in a fancy american school pretending to be a muggle and ignoring her wizard heritage, and her father working long shifts as a healer at St. Mungo's, summers were particularly hard on her, keeping Lecia on track and her younger brother out of harms way.

It's not like Lecia Dorset was trying to be difficult, she was just confused. She was a girl who was turning into an angsty teenager, and who wasn't completely sure if she wanted to stop being a kid. That's why she never stopped being friends with Jordan, the muggle boy who lived a little further down the stream, and whose idea of fun involved jumping across the river -cue the broken arm-, giving her rides on the back of his bicycle, running around wrecking havoc, or generally the type of things that would get a girl grounded for life.

Lecia was actually a very smart, loyal and funny girl, who loved her family above anything else, who was never the popular girl among her small group of friends, and who, after her sister left, felt pretty lonely. She hardly ever saw her father, and her four year old brother didn't like her very much (who could blame him though? He was hardly one when she first went off to Hogwarts).

"It won't happen again mom. I promise. I just wanted to get to the other side to get some pinecones for Henry," she said as she ruffled her brother's hair with her good hand, "I know He's been hoarding them lately." She beamed at the small and rare smile the boy gave her.

Her mother looked at her with kind eyes and the kind of love only a mother's gaze can hold, "that's what you always say. Your father is scheduled to come home tonight and he'll fix you up in no time... But you know he won't be happy about this, you know how much he...dislikes Jordan."

At those words Lecia stood up from the kitchen stool she was perched on, took a deep breath and in the best calm voice she could muster said "I'd rather heal the muggle way than listen to papa say that Jordan is not good enough to be my friend for the 100th time. If you excuse me, I'll be in my room." And with that, she turned her heel and disappeared behind a closed door.

Lying on her bed Lecia daydreamed about becoming a healer like her father, or a member of the Wizengamot like her grandpa, but mostly, in secret, she dreamt of being like her sister and go live among the muggles...well, maybe just with one muggle...

"Ugh! Ew! He's my best friend!" She said, suddenly sitting up. But nothing was set in stone, and Lecia Dorset's story was only beginning.

Option 2:

That rat of his was in for it now.

The gray little rascal had disappeared from his clutches at breakfast. Again.

Before Hugh even knew what was happening, Merlin had shot across the floor, somehow managing to avoid all the feet walking across the hall and had escaped through the open doors.

Which meant that Hugh was now stomping through rows of flowers and other various flora, searching for the small creature. It was like the rat knew Hugh was allergic to most flowers. Merlin always chose to run to the gardens whenever he got away from Hugh. It was as if the rat did not want to have him for an owner.

Hugh had named his pet Merlin because he had hoped the powerful name would give the rat more incentive to be more than a rat. Not that he expected Merlin to change into a wizard or anything, but rats were just so...useless, for the most part. With a name like Merlin, Hugh thought it might give the rat purpose.

The only purpose Merlin seemed to have was getting away from Hugh as often as possible.

As the fifth year trudged into the second row of flowers, not taking much care to avoid trampling the first row, he felt the first sneeze building up pressure in his nose and behind his eyes.

"You blasted rat! Where are you?"

He pulled apart a section of bright red flowers; he didn't know what they were called because he despised flowers, and ducked his head low to peer into the depths of the flowerbed. It was moving closer in proximity to the flowers that finally did it. Hugh took in three great breaths and then let out an almighty sneeze. It was strong enough to disturb some of the dirt on the ground before him.

Groaning, he stood up again and wiped his nose on his sleeve. It was as he was turning his head, his nose running up and down his arm, that movement in his peripheral vision caught his attention. Normally one who preferred to put his best face forward, Hugh was a bit embarrassed to be caught wiping his runny nose on his robes.

Nevertheless, Hugh put on his best haughty voice. albeit a bit thickly with his plugged nose and said, "Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

REPLY:

Breakfasts were Lecia's least favorite meal time at Hogwarts. Not only was she not good at waking up early, but she was rarely hungry at the time breakfast was served, so she usually ended up eating a bran muffin and then she starved through half of history of magic and all of transfiguration. She also preferred to eat her muffin out in the gardens, it was quieter there and it helped her finish waking up.

She had a favorite spot there too, a small squared off plot of land right behind a rather large spot filled with red flowers. Most kids didn't like that plot, she always heard them going on and on about how the school should just replace all those dead plants already, that they were a sore sight in the gardens. But what those kids didn't know was that the flowers were not dead, they were only sleeping through the day, they were moonlace flowers, and they only shone at night.

She liked to think while she stared at the dormant greenery, it was almost as if she was back home, and if she tried hard enough she could almost hear the stream flowing.

Today was no different. She was there thinking about home and the muggle friend to whom she had to lie to every time summer ended and she went back to school. Jordan couldn't understand why she just couldn't give him her school's address so he could write to her, why she couldn't even tell her its name, and how her parents being so against her having a friend who was a boy could send her to a coed boarding school...if only he knew that him being a boy wasn't the reason her parents didn't like him. She missed him. Terribly.

Just as tears were threatening to roll down her cheeks she heard footsteps -more like a stomping really- coming her way. And the footsteps came along with huffing and a frustrated voice, "You blasted rat! Where are you?" , the boy didn't seem to care that he was trampling all over the beautiful flowerbeds in his search for, what she inferred to be, his rat.

Lecia moved to the front of the small moonlace plot, ready to take the hit from stomp boy if needed be, when she felt something crawl up her shoe. She jumped and squeaked a bit in true girl fashion before looking down and coming face to face with a rat that seemed to be on the run. The girl bent down and tried to scoop the furry fellow in her hands at the same time she heard a boisterous sneeze.

She looked up and saw the rat's owner stand up and wipe his nose on his sleeve. She scrunched up her nose but couldn't look away from him. He did look frustrated.

"Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare." , "well that came out of nowhere", Lecia thought. " You're right, it's not. It's also not polite to plow through perfectly innocent flowers while on a rampage to find your rat, wipe your boogers on your sleeve and then be rude to the girl who might or might have not found your missing rat," she said while pointing to said animal. "Now, I don't know what you have done to this poor little fellow, but he seems to be scared out of his wits. So whenever you're ready to apologize to me, I'll be at the Great Hall, and if your pet decides to come along, I'll feed him for you while you finish ruining the gardens.."

And with that she turned her back on him, intending to walk away.

How did you find us?: I felt the need to come back

Hello everyone!

I'm the human behind the old characters known as Luthien Finisterra and Leda Echegaray. It's been a while since I last rped and I want to come back, but I'm so lost with the whole timewarp plot! I don't understand it.

So, if there's an old soul around here that can help me out, I might be able to turn in my application soon. Also...with the whole warp plot, what year are we on?
