→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.

Name: Avaric Archeron

Birthday: 26 March, 1943

Hometown: Wandsworth Town, London, UK

Bloodline:
Pureblood

Magical Strength (pick one):
Transfiguration

Magical Weakness (pick one):
Conjuring & Summoning

Year (pick two): Sixth, Fifth

Biography:
Alaric and Opal were pleased to welcome their first child on March 26, 1943. And even more so when shortly after, their son’s dark locks changed to a soft blue. It was a trait that ran in Alaric’s family, however, his brother, being older, had gotten it, not him. So they were a bit surprised to find their son had it.

As Avaric grew older, his parents doted on him. Being the first-born, and having his ability, his parents gave him everything he wanted and let him get away with whatever he wanted. This led to Avaric being quite bratty and throwing a fit if he didn’t get his way. When Avaric was 4, his twin sisters came along, much to Avaric’s disappointment. He didn’t like his parents focusing on them more than him. He acted out a bit, and as he grew older, he completely ignored his sisters. He has no interest in building any sort of relationship with them.

During Avaric’s first year, his antics continued, regularly impersonating teachers or classmates to get his way. However, he hadn’t been careful enough and got detention a bit. His parents finally reprimanded him. After all, if he continued like this, he’d never be an Auror. They insisted he straighten up, at least enough to not get caught, so he could be Prefect and Head Boy in the future. After all, since their line wasn’t the head of the Archeron name, he’d have to make up for it in achievements.

Avaric, of course, still plays by his own rules, just a bit more carefully now. As he has gotten older, he has realized the importance of being in a reputable family. Partly due to his impending arranged marriage, joining their family with the Amberghasts. So now not only does he have to make sure he keeps his nose clean, but his future wife’s as well.

Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

House Request: Slytherin

Personality:
Avaric is the type of kid that never got told ‘no’ growing up. If he wants something, he believes he should have it just because he should. He is athletic and enjoys playing Quidditch and Duelling. He hopes to someday be captain of his house team and a duelling champion.

Appearance:
Avaric normally has dark hair and striking green eyes. However, as a Metamorphagus, his hair or eye color might change with his mood, or if he is trying to impersonate someone else.

Option I:

While some students dreaded the thought of the dungeons, Avaric preferred them. There were several areas down here masked away. Perfect spots to hide away, to get some peace and quiet. He could do whatever he wanted, and he was unlikely to get caught doing so.

He’d been smoking a cigarette, enjoying being away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the school. Of course, until he heard a girl’s voice. He sighed, hoping she’d turn and leave.

However, when she mentioned Emma Birch, he laughed. Everyone knew what had happened to Emma Birch. “She’s dead,” he called back. “Been dead since before you were born, probably.” He took another drag of his cigarette. “You should probably head back to the Hufflepuff dorms or wherever you came from.” He highly doubted she was a Slytherin. They were typically smarter than to try to find someone who had been dead for years.

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:
Avaric sat on a bench, carefully studying everyone in the park. It was more than just knowing their eye color and hair color. The details were what made a disguise perfect. The way their hair fell, the way they emoted themselves.

He noticed the boys playing Quidditch. Their form wasn’t that great. But then again, they weren’t taking it seriously enough. And then there was a little girl. Avaric rolled his eyes watching her. He’d made it clear to his younger siblings since they were young that he wasn’t interested in them. It was all so childish.

When the girl yelled at him, he arched his eyebrows. “Absolutely not.” He always hated it when adults sugar-coated things for kids. It was best to be blunt with them. They’d have to learn some day. “Perhaps you should learn how to entertain yourself. I’m sure everyone would be more thankful for it.” He imagined she must be a nightmare at home, too, constantly begging for attention. When his siblings were born, he learned the hard way that he couldn’t always get attention. If he could figure it out, so could she.
