→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.

Name: Silas Jason Bloom

Birthday: August 22nd, 1944

Hometown: London, England

Bloodline:
Muggleborn

Magical Strength (pick one):
Transfiguration

Magical Weakness (pick one):
Conjuring & Summoning

Year (pick two): First (Preferred), Second

Biography:
Silas has been in London for all of his young life, for as long as he could remember there had just been strange things that happened around him. He didn't mind it so much though, it made life interesting - and how could interesting be a bad thing exactly? Well for Silas it wasn't a bad thing, but some people around him found him to be a 'strange kid', a little odd and a sweet kid - but certainly strange. He was the youngest of three children, but he wasn't like his siblings, not like his older brother - and not like his twin sister - who was only a few minutes older thank you.

But it was endlessly entertaining for the twins at least, to see if they could make the odd things happen. A constant game growing up that they had loved to always play.  He was eight when something very strange indeed happened though, strange enough for his parents to stop and realize there was something indeed odd - and it was to do with their youngest. It was harmless, he hadn't meant for anything to happen - of course he hadn't. How could he? He had only been trying to help his sister - yet somehow the car had just seemed to stop - it was like magic.

His father couldn't handle it, it was too odd - too strange. So he left, not even with a word - at least not to Silas. But he was certain that it was because of him. For the next two years, there had been little contact - the contact was severed - at least between Silas and his father. He still spoke to his brother, and even his sister - but never Silas.

It Hurt, of course it did. But, When Silas recieved an odd letter on his eleventh birthday it wasn't just him that recieved it. His sister also did, it explained a lot of things. How strange things - magical things, seemed to always happen around him - but it wasn't JUST Silas, his sister was almost always there as well. He was different, but so was she - they were different, but the same.

→ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

House Request: ANY!

Personality:
Silas has always been a bright young boy, full of life and excitement. He can at times be a bit of a daredevil, and he hates to be still and quiet for too long. But he is a good student, and he loves to learn - he just... can't remain still for too long. He is almost constantly moving in some way. He loves climbing trees and he loves to explore. Silas is extremely close to his twin sister, the two have always been as 'thick as thieves' as their mother says. While he is utterly excited that the two of them are coming to Hogwarts this year, he is also nervous knowing already about the houses that they may end up apart. Making the usually somewhat boisterous boy far quieter than he usually would be at home.

Appearance:
Silas has somewhat curly and messy brunette hair, his eyes are a dark and bright brown, he is a little smaller than most his age, but he doesn't let it stop him. His clothes are almost always a little messy from being outside and often are a little big on him as most of his clothes are handed down from his older brother. Except for his new uniforms which actually fit him well.

Option I:

The dungeons. A place eleven-year-old Evangeline had not yet travelled since her arrival at Hogwarts.

A place she really was just fine with not knowing; but it was too late. The dare had been accepted, even if it had been done in fear of being kicked out of Gryffindor, like the older girls had said she would because Gryffindors were supposed to be brave.

The air changed instantly when she hit the main corridor of the dungeons. The dampness was almost too much for her and she instinctively took a deep breath to avoid the sensation of being suffocated. There was also a sour burning smell which Evangeline assumed was from many, many Potions lessons.

Further and further she walked, her steps so slow and gentle they made no noise against the stone walls and floor. The feeling that she wasn't alone crept up her spine and raised the tiny hair on the back of her neck. Shivering, Evangeline wrapped her arms around herself. Suddenly, she missed the warmth and comfort of the Gryffindor common room. The fire was always going and it made her feel at ease.

Why had she let those girls talk her into this? She was only eleven, she didn't have to be brave. Surely the Headmistress would not kick her out of Hogwarts for not being brave.

If only she had these thoughts while being dared to search for the ghost of one Emma Birch, whom supposedly haunted the dungeons. It was not, Evangeline had learned, the place where the sixteen-year-old girl's life had ended but as she had been from the house with a snake as its mascot, it was the place her spirit had returned to. That common room was down here somewhere, she'd been told.

Something - the small blonde girl wasn't quite sure what - but something made her stop in her tracks suddenly. There was a low, dull thumping noise. Or maybe that was her heart beating so loudly she thought it was coming from outside her body.

"H-h-hello?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Remembering that she was supposed to be brave, Evangeline tried again.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

The sound of her own words bouncing back at her off the walls made her jump.

Response:

The dungeons were a curious place, a little spooky - but also an interesting place that he hadn't yet been able to explore. So of course when Silas got the chance he was eager to travel down there, even if it was a bit spookier than he had expected - usually he would have had his sister at his side. But she was busy already making friends - she always did that so much easier than he did. But their brother also wasn't here, which if anything made him even more determined to explore it - he would have so many stories to tell their brother on the holidays when they went home. For once he got to do something that his brother didn't do first already!

With that thought running through his mind again, he eagerly continued in the darkness - curious brown eyes darting around. It was like something out of a movie and his smile grew as he tried to take in everything he could see. He was so occupied however that he didn't notice the ground being slightly unsteady until he tripped and stumbled, trying to catch himself before he fell he put his hands out. They took the brunt of the fall but he still landed with a loud and somewhat painful thump.

"Oww." He muttered, groaning as he got back to his feet, trying to check on his hands when he heard a voice.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

He didn't know an Emma, at least not yet. But he quickly spoke up all the same, "Hello? I don't know Emma - but I'm Silas." He spoke as he looked around, unable to see where the voice had come from. Was he talking with a ghost? This school was so cool...
